Zahnan That isn't the point. Copper is cheap, Labor is expensive. Most dedicated data contractors will charge 75 - 150 dollars per drop to do data pulls, regardless if there is a line present or not. Cat5E Plenum grade costs about 130-140 dollars per 1000 Ft box, for the good brands that will meet transmission specifications. Cat6 Plenum is about 160-200 dollars per box. It simply isn't worth hiring a contractor to rip out 5E to switch to 6, when you are talking about a couple bucks more per drop in copper cost the first time.

Please, only do this if you know what you are doing (have experience or an education as an electrician) . i realise laws in the states might be different from Denmark, but this is just a disclaimer for anyone watching, for all i know Spencer has pleanty of experience in this field. have a good day guys, and stay safe :)

I say in a gentle voice(fyi I am a guy)' get down there's a hoard in the drive way'. As we all hide in the house we discussed our plan to get out. For the light switches should just look into a solution like Philips hue. Everyone uses their smartphone.
I'm not much of a handyman, but I'm pretty sure they used a wood bore bit to try and drill into their concrete column.
