    Not sure I care for all those lips and crackles but the borla sounds pretty good. Reminds me of microwave popcorn.

      They aren't as bad I shown.... It usually just goes for a bout 1-3 seconds then stops or when I shift. If you tap the gas it starts the cycle again. I guess I showed the very extreme side of it.

    hey dude, nice video. Is that continous crackle sound made by tapping throttle or just happens naturally? Thanks!

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  7 лет назад

      Hey Sean. I can control the pops with my foot. If I'm just shifting then it will pop between 1-3 seconds by itself. In this video I was controlling the pops by tapping the exhaust.

    can you hear the additional exhaust option if you only have an upgraded downpipe and stock catback.

      ?*

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      +I like cars I'm not to sure about that! I know we had a member who had stock everything and couldn't hear it but I'm guessing if you at least had a catless down pipe then you should be able to hear it at least a little.

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      So after a few weeks we have had completely stock people say yes you can so I'm 100% sure you can if you have a catless

    Sounds great...want to do this. However, has your fuel economy taken a big hit?

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  7 лет назад

      Johnny CincoCero no it didn't! It wouldn't really make a difference since it's only for like a few seconds on off throttle.

  • @greatmonkeez

    Sounds amazing! What is the full exhaust setup? And what tune?

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  7 лет назад +1

      greatmonkeez Borla exhaust and a Depo racing catless downpipe. Different Down pipes do make a difference in sound!

  • @millerpa1000
    @millerpa1000 7 лет назад

    How's the exhaust noise in the cabin? Is it annoying at highway speeds or long road trips? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on your exhaust setup, it sounds wicked!

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  7 лет назад

      millerpa1000 it is what you want when you want and no drone even with a bigger turbo. I love it and it's only loud when you really get on it like wake the dead loud but not in the cabin. I just drove 4 hours straight to Virginia lol. It doesn't drone at
      Any speed

  • @sysssej

    One more question, is this the 15$ option for additional exhaust sounds?

    What set up would u recommend on the focus I already have the borla exhaust and bov and I’m not looking to get the down pipe and then tune anything else I should start adding??

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  5 лет назад

      kaito sage I would look into getting some shifter bushings from Boomba Racing. They are cheap and easy to do. 2 things I would highly recommend is the TB Performance Traction bar. It really makes the car feel even better in all conditions and under all circumstances. Also the Stage 2 CPE rear motor mount. It will help a lot with shifting feel
      As the motor will not wiggle around.
      If you are going to get a tune I would highly recommend Stratified tuning. There tunes are much much much better than the Cobb OTS tunes. If you want a little more power you could always get a Depo Racing intercooler. Depending on your end goals for the car you can get the bigger one but they do make a smaller cheaper unit. Also you could get an intake system. I have have the Roush intake. Everything I listed I still have on the car and have had it for 3+ years. I hope I’ve helped you lol. If you want to talk more you can always message me on Instagram. It’s @CalebST1 it’s just easier.

    Hey, sounds great, do you know if I can do this without removing my current cobb stage 3 tune and since I bought the accessport from cobb instead of stratified?

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад +2

      Stratified are the only ones I know who have this.... I will tell you right now that the difference between a Cobb stage 3 and a stratified flash tune is night and day... It's actually made for your car with your parts. Going from Cobb to strat is like going from stock to a stage 1 cobb tune. Anyway you can purchase a flash tune from Stratified and just switch the tune over to there's which is very fast. You will keep all your Cobb maps and such that you can quickly and easily flash back to.... Not that you would ever want to lol

    Do you know if there is any wear on the catalytic converter?

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      There isn't..... Stratified actually says that there tuning strategy with or with out the pops runs cooler than the oem tune

    • @acb7748
      @acb7748 8 лет назад

      Caleb Lanehart Okay thanks. I really want to get the tune from them, just don't want to be damaging anything.

    • @Locke99GS
      @Locke99GS 8 лет назад

      Stratified makes no claim that this is safe for the catalytic converter. Straight from Stratified's website:
      Exhaust Crackles: The V2 crackles and pops are going to be more audible with all exhaust systems compared to V1. However we have not tested all exhausts for sound quality nor do we have any data on the long-effects of this feature on the catalytic converter. For off-road use only at your own risk!

      @@CalebST1 I see the depo dp for under 200 on ebay, is it a pretty quality piece as far as welds and fitment? Thanks for the replies btw.

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  5 лет назад

      Chris Migneco you should be able to buy it from his website. www.deporacing.us and yes the quality is fantastic . I’ve been running it for over 2-3 years hard and I’ve not had any problems. Quality welds and it’s stainless steel.

    will i be able to run this tune with kids in the car or is it insanely loud? i currently run a 200 cell catted and mbrp exhaust and it's not to loud for them

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      Yes you should be able to! It only had the crackle and pop for 1-3 seconds. If you just eggshell the gas pedal though it will trigger the overrun again and make more sex noises

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      Also it gets louder as you get further away from 2,000 rpm. So if your doing this at 5 grand it's loud! But if your at 2.5 it's not bad. If you don't like it or if it's too loud it does come with a second tune that doesn't have the snaps n cracks but I leave mine on because I love it!

    Bruh I want this so bad on my st. Quick question though. Do you think I'll get the same results as you do if I atp catless downpipe and a roush cat back and that's it on my car? I already have the roush and a mountune tune and a mountune intake filter but I want this lol. Just wondering if you think I'll get the same results once I get the catless downpipe.

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      It's not the downpipe that will give you the pops it's the tune... The mountune tune will NOT give you this. The only tuner I know who can give this to you is stratified. If you order a accessport V3 from them you get a free flash tune.

    • @jordangoodrich2417
      @jordangoodrich2417 8 лет назад

      +Caleb Lanehart (RougeAngel) no like I already have an accessport from mountune and I was wondering if I just got the new downpipe from stratified that comes with a free flash tune if it would pop or if I had to go stage 3 to get the same results as you

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      +Jordan Goodrich +Jordan Goodrich ohh ok well now I think you should contact Stratified on the phone because If I remember correctly the mountune accessport is locked to there tunes... Call them up they are extremely nice and there customer service is setting the bar! 604-285-9940. That's there number. Good luck!

    Is it that loud because your exhaust and how much was it for the tune ?

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      It's loud on any exhaust with an aftermarket cat or catless downpipe. I have a catless with a Borla exhaust. The tune is a flash tune from stratified and they start at 50 dollars.... In my opinion it's like getting an AP3 all over again... Also of you order your accessport from them you get a free flash tune. There tunes are fantastic

    • @Ryan96se
      @Ryan96se 8 лет назад

      It's also worth noting that this is NOT recommended with a Catalyst. You will ruin it. If you don't need a catalytic converter to pass emissions then go for it :-)

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      +Ryan96se actually even with an OEM cat this tune strategy doesn't heat the cat up anymore than the oem or other stratified tunes. This can be seen in log reviews and raw data straight from the accessport v3. Now it's not recommended to do it continued like I did in this video with a cat... But if you just let the tune do its thing no damage should happen.

    • @CalebST1
      @CalebST1  8 лет назад

      +Ryan96se I would like to show that this is what the pops sound like when you don't have them continuously... ruclips.net/video/y_gHLUlUPik/видео.html

    • @Ryan96se
      @Ryan96se 7 лет назад

      The damage to the catalyst has more to do with the raw fuel the new program sends into the exhaust system than the actual bang or pop once the gasses are ignited. The raw fuel needed for this pop and crack causes the catalyst to become fowled and run hotter trying to burn off the excessive fuel vapors. My only reason for saying this is the damage to the cat might not always be physical for it to reduce efficiency due to this type of tune. It's best to run this without a cat. IMO
