I'm convinced if she'd noticed these things, it would be her favorite game

i felt the same way too! there were lots of subtle easter eggs in this game that i think could easily be missed. she often says she has tunnel vision sometimes :)
it's interesting how they picked a lot of different options for game progression though like to call management, to order food or go to the convenience store, and sean just saw a lot more of the creepier stuff than she did in general so they both had completely different playthroughs which makes it so interesting.
i love when she plays a Japanese type game. she translates and tells us her Japan life back then. like when she first tried Nikujaga 😅 my Japanese side never made that for me sadly lol

And he dies at the end of the game. So if he is "gone" but the girl is still there, she survived the attack at her home after you get her out ot the store... riiiiight?!

This wasn’t the first time Seán talked about it, though. He mentioned it on Twitch in 2019. The Chilla's Cafe is exactly the same one from the game "Closing Shift" and it's filled with easter egg, but set few years in the future. -The Barista is our annoying 'senior' that keep scolding us -The two girl that were talking, Mari and Mayumi, was the High-schooler customer from the previous game (and they were regular) and they already in college now -Yosaku is mumbling about Hassaku-san, his partner that left him. Hassaku is the name of the detective that tried to help us, but got killed by the Stalker -If you look behind the counter, there's a Ponytail haired woman that look similar to our main character from that game. It could mean that at least our MC survived in the ending of that game.

Because Mari and Mayumi already said they gone to college and hasn't seen each other for a while, when in Closing Shift they go to the same High-school. @@prnc96 Either it's just an easter egg to include all character from the game, or the MC managed to get away from the Stalker but the Stalker still not give up and still stalking the MC again, or the MC escaped the Stalker and he got caught by the police at one point, and few years later on that day, the stalker returned again after he got released. It's an easter egg that they probably not gonna explain, but for sure it can't be on the same time as the game.

@@zs9652 - While I've not been personally stalked (though I have had incidents where I've been paranoid of someone stalking me if they're weird/creepy enough), but from what I can gather looking into this is to document everything including any property damage that suddenly appears in your home or car (windows and doors for example) and any threatening messages/mail/voice recordings/etc. that you can take to the police, as well as informing loved ones that you trust of a potential threat to your safety. Upgrading your home's security to include security cams are also recommended, as well as keeping vigilant around anyone you interact with IRL. Depending on where you live and laws regarding self-defence you might want to consider getting your hands on something like pepper spray oh and also early prevention and contacting police also helps
Avoid go alone anywhere, the most important thing is trust your guts, if you feel something isn’t right or if you have any suspicion about someone then talk with the people you trust the most or with the authorities. If you think you’re being followed try to stick with a group of people (enter a restaurant or a store) and calmly describe your situation. Try carry items for self defense like pepper spray or a shock device.
I kind of appreciate how Chilla’s game has allowed streamers to talk about how they would like to interact with their fans and allows them to discuss boundaries. Pretty cool and a good reminder to us, the fans.
Not only can you program the bath to fill every day at the same time, you can also keep it consistently warm, or warm it up as needed! That way you don't have to draw water every single time, especially if you live alone!

I love that Gab's playthrough is way more calm and even aggressive toward the stalker than Sean's. XD Sean was like "being a girl sucks!" Whereas all of us gals are like 'yeah yeah been here.' That being said, this game is good. I do think this is one of Chilla's best. The tension and tiny details make it so creepy.

evelien just said she doesn't get recognized in public and sean does. I assume she doesn't really have the same level of fear of being stalked that sean has seeing as sean has creepy fans and has had a stalker in the past and evelien has had pretty chill fans for the most part. sean even said he has had people delivering food to his house and had them recognize him and it creeped him out. compared to other chillsart games this one is more of a "famous person" experience than a 'female' experience one.
Chilla's "its scary out here for women" horror genre make me have to watch these videos a little bit at a time. Being stalked and harassed and followed, the microaggressions towards women and the world not being safe for us from the exact people that make it not safe for us. Us knowing certain things are definitely up but also being convinced that we're overreacting and no one else will believe us. Masterpiece but also so scary because all of these things are feasible and real life scenarios.
I watched Sean playthrough this and he saw stuff gabs didn't. I was hoping she would react to the guy crouching at the doorbell first ring with the note and the guy stealing her trash. I'm actually kinda glad she didn't see it though cause it was so creepy.
Yeah, it was the same in The Closing Shift. She focuses more on the next task, or on the Japanese aspects, and so doesn’t notice all the creepy stuff on side that Sean does.
1:36 I actually stop the microwave before it starts beeping xD I'm one of those that hits "cancel" when the microwave is on 1 second left. My previous microwave's cancel button would pause the timer, and you'd have to press it again to cancel it entirely, otherwise the display would act a little glitchy if you left it on pause for too long. So, even though the new microwave will cancel timers outright, I still hit the button twice out of habit haha. The funny little personal rituals we have in our lives.

The officer guy immediately became my no.1 suspect after not formally opening a case, but luring you away from the station and giving you his own personal number to call, so it's just between you and him. I mean when you call this fella, you're not even calling the actual police and there's no record of it either. - just some guy.

I don’t usually disagree with Gab but I feel like compelled to say: if you are experiencing any stalking behaviour from someone, and your door opens when you are home alone…call your condo manager and ask them to check the CCTV footage to make sure your apartment wasn’t broken into. I only say this because I think women should always err on the side of caution when it comes to situations of stalking. Yes!!! I was so tensed and freaked out watching Jack's playthrough. Idk if it's because I knew what was going to happen or just cause gab is so chill and nice but I was definitely more relaxed watching this one! Its great
EDIT: Scratch the photo portion of my comment, I was typing this as I watched and forgot that Asuka had been stopped. The reason the stalker kept staying in the way is so the ex-bf had time to take just the right photo Rewatching this game (saw Jack play first) and noticing all the clues telling you exactly who the bad people are (pretty straightforward once you rewatch it) For example, a police officer would never give out their personal number. And, Asuka was at work when she "met" the hooded stalker outside your building. She was also the one that told you to get antivirus software. The bad guys wouldn't be giving you sound advice if they wanted to go after you. I think this is my favorite chilla game bc of analyzing every clue throughout the game. Best storytelling I've seen in a while

Anyone can be a creep, anyone can have it out for you, no we aren't being paranoid cuz such ppl exist, and it doesn't matter what you do, it doesn't take much to catch these creeps attention and become a target. No wonder ppl become hikkikomori.... Harder to be targeted if you never leave the house or show your true self. Still, not impossible, but much harder than usual.

Just watched it a second time. This and The Closing Shift are my favorite from Chillas Art so far. Including Chillas Cafè and the Convenience Store(kinda) and for the protagonist to stream their other games was a genius idea.

He got her to load his game, which had enough permissions to turn off her vtuber rig, which suggests that it had the run of everything that didn't require admin privileges. It's reasonable to guess that it accessed other files, emails, or whatever else he needed to sift through for her address and sent it to him. The face reveal was done to make her focus on _that_ rather than what else the program did. It would likely not have detected by the antivirus because it was a custom piece of software written specifically to target her; unless he used bits of code from a virus kit, it wouldn't be in the antivirus database. A stalker could have used this to find her, even with no previous personal connection. Be careful what you load on your computer, folks.

@@prnc96 Either it's just an easter egg to include all character from the game, or the MC managed to get away from the Stalker but the Stalker still not give up and still stalking the MC again, or the MC escaped the Stalker and he got caught by the police at one point, and few years later on that day, the stalker returned again after he got released.
It's an easter egg that they probably not gonna explain, but for sure it can't be on the same time as the game.

@@zs9652 - While I've not been personally stalked (though I have had incidents where I've been paranoid of someone stalking me if they're weird/creepy enough), but from what I can gather looking into this is to document everything including any property damage that suddenly appears in your home or car (windows and doors for example) and any threatening messages/mail/voice recordings/etc. that you can take to the police, as well as informing loved ones that you trust of a potential threat to your safety. Upgrading your home's security to include security cams are also recommended, as well as keeping vigilant around anyone you interact with IRL. Depending on where you live and laws regarding self-defence you might want to consider getting your hands on something like pepper spray
oh and also early prevention and contacting police also helps
Avoid go alone anywhere, the most important thing is trust your guts, if you feel something isn’t right or if you have any suspicion about someone then talk with the people you trust the most or with the authorities. If you think you’re being followed try to stick with a group of people (enter a restaurant or a store) and calmly describe your situation. Try carry items for self defense like pepper spray or a shock device.

Chilla's "its scary out here for women" horror genre make me have to watch these videos a little bit at a time. Being stalked and harassed and followed, the microaggressions towards women and the world not being safe for us from the exact people that make it not safe for us. Us knowing certain things are definitely up but also being convinced that we're overreacting and no one else will believe us. Masterpiece but also so scary because all of these things are feasible and real life scenarios.

Yeah, it was the same in The Closing Shift. She focuses more on the next task, or on the Japanese aspects, and so doesn’t notice all the creepy stuff on side that Sean does.

My previous microwave's cancel button would pause the timer, and you'd have to press it again to cancel it entirely, otherwise the display would act a little glitchy if you left it on pause for too long. So, even though the new microwave will cancel timers outright, I still hit the button twice out of habit haha.

The officer guy immediately became my no.1 suspect after not formally opening a case, but luring you away from the station and giving you his own personal number to call, so it's just between you and him. I mean when you call this fella, you're not even calling the actual police and there's no record of it either. - just some guy.

Rewatching this game (saw Jack play first) and noticing all the clues telling you exactly who the bad people are (pretty straightforward once you rewatch it) For example, a police officer would never give out their personal number. And, Asuka was at work when she "met" the hooded stalker outside your building. She was also the one that told you to get antivirus software. The bad guys wouldn't be giving you sound advice if they wanted to go after you. I think this is my favorite chilla game bc of analyzing every clue throughout the game. Best storytelling I've seen in a while

He got her to load his game, which had enough permissions to turn off her vtuber rig, which suggests that it had the run of everything that didn't require admin privileges. It's reasonable to guess that it accessed other files, emails, or whatever else he needed to sift through for her address and sent it to him. The face reveal was done to make her focus on _that_ rather than what else the program did. It would likely not have detected by the antivirus because it was a custom piece of software written specifically to target her; unless he used bits of code from a virus kit, it wouldn't be in the antivirus database.
A stalker could have used this to find her, even with no previous personal connection. Be careful what you load on your computer, folks.
