Holy shit, I just looked and we were asked by the exact the same user (they’ve since changed their username) and we both released our Indigo Parallel videos on the exact same day… very weird coincidence.
Edit: I just saw that EvilFluffy1 was a nickname for the dev. Makes a lot more sense now.

Hey, first off I want to thank you for playing the game. Secondly, wicked thumbnail. Ok, so this is going to be a long one, if you can please read.
As a solo game dev who completely changed their career (I make games full time now) the hardest part about making games is... getting people to play them. The game released in November and while it has a very very small fan base, people simply don't know about the game. I've tried everything including reddit, Facebook, Instagram, imgur, Twitter, tiktok with little to mild success. The game wasn't finding its target market.
I spent 5 years on this game, and I am so passionate about it, but the marketing is what I struggle with.
You are super wise to look into the reviews and such, and while I do ask everyone who plays it to the review the game, I don't tell them what to write (pos or neg). I actually encourage negative/constructive criticism and feedback so I can improve the game. I also learn by watching people play the game so getting youtubers and streamers to play it is essential. I always share videos of playthroughs of the game as well on my socials. To explain a little more, I have a small fanbase in another Fandom who support me by buying the game. Evilfluffy1 is a nickname I go by on reddit and Twitch. There's my story thanks again for playing.
    Edit: Grammar

      YOOOOOOOOOO DEV MOMENT!
Thank you so much for the watching. I know its hard getting people to play the game, but I actually think you are quite spot on with what you've done to garner interest for the game. I was so weirded out by the comments, RUclips shorts, and attention from you that when it came decision time for me to play the game or not, it was a no-brainer. I had to figure out what this game is about. Not only story wise/gameplay wise, but what are all these weird ties to this game.
As far as story I'm actually way more interested in the game as I thought I would be. While I was at work today I was using the steam game description and what I had seen in my playtime to come up with some sort of story. I've even added this game to my list of "possible video essays ideas". I'd love to uncover the story and as far as I know nobody on RUclips has done that yet. It might be a couple weeks, but I'd be ecstatic to make it happen.
I've already made some notes about the laughing ghost monster, being daisy and how some traumatic event happened between our character and daisy. My thought is that that event has put our character into some sort of coma with psychedelic dream. This is just a start though and I'd need to do several playthroughs to truly figure out what I want. When I do end up making the video essay it'd be great if you could check out some of the details, and maybe even interview if possible.
I want you to know I left a positive review of this game because I genuinely enjoyed it. This game is awesome and you should be really proud of it. Now my review on steam literally says "Game Good :)", but I figured that this video serves as something greater than just a steam review. I will definitely play more of The Indigo Parallel, because I love it, It reminds me of when I first discovered the landmark exploration horror titles like LSD DE and Yume Nikki.
As for critiques I have for the game and the marketing (honestly these are just nitpicks) I, first, wish there was a way to know how many ending there are (not how to do them). Second, a little bit more backstory in the beginning rather then just the game description (not that it gives away the story, but gives the player intrigue, and interest to dig deeper. Third, the music for the game is awesome, I'd love a place where I could find a complied soundtrack. Fourth, more puzzles than just number decoders, the laser ones were decent, but even maybe some portal action, or even Superliminal like puzzles would be a really neat add.
I know the game is basically done and these are some tall asks, but just some food for thought.
But even without any changes this game is amazing. I cant wait for your future games. I wish you the best of luck in game dev, I hope we speak more in the future.

@gart7423 Thanks for the feedback! I think you are presenting some wonderful ideas, I will be rolling out some new updates for the game and I will try to integrate your suggestions the best I can. The game is pretty much done but I am always interested in updating it when possible, I am very busy, also I'm working one a new title as well. When it comes to the soundtrack, even though I produced most of the tracks there are three other musicians who provided music for the game so I will need to talk to them, so one day ill post an OST (for free possibly). Thanks again for playing the game and I'd be down for an interview!! A video essay on the game would be epic too!!

youtube has started recommending me videos from small creatures playing/video essaying extremely weird niche and unknown video games. gotta say im loving it, most of the games are, if not fun at least really interesting. this ones seems uninteresting and just not fun lol (also the indigo parallel is definitely a cult/conspiracy)
