- This is the first song I wrote for the debut album in D Standard tuning.
The lyrics are about my dislike of hypocritical organized religion.
There is a Dark Funeral inspired riff in this song! I was listening to them quite often at the time and it just sort of happened by accident. For one of the clips in the video I demonstrate a little of how I recorded a solo part using a slide in the song. ~ Dallas Toler-Wade

Excellent study of riffing and songwriting for the newer player. Dallas isn’t playing much for a lot of the song, but you don’t notice with the drums carrying the groove, and it makes the 16th note parts really pop. That’s dynamics, and there is so much here. An absolute master class. Dallas is also a much much tighter player than other former band mates so you can actually hear what is happening 😅
