  • Musically this song draws its inspiration from a few different sources.
    Some of the riffs bring me back to the old days of thrash and speed metal. Some of the chords I use in this song were inspired by the soundtrack of a famous movie. One particular section was inspired from a video game sound track. Can you guess what video game?

    Proof you don't need to tune low to be HEAVY AS FUCK! Always a treat to see these riffs up close and personal.

    No guessed on source inspirations, but the guitar styles you wove together here are impressive. You started out with fast paced melodic death metal guitar with thrash mixed in, transitioned to a full thrash, then the black metal chords underneath, then transitioned to full black metal by the end. NW is a tech death band, but this is art right here.

    My wrist hurts by Just watching you Dallas

    • @Hamring
      @Hamring 4 месяца назад +1

      It does look kinda uncomfortable at first but with his twisty-forearm technique it might not strain the wrist at all. Going through a picking hand reform myself at the moment and have learnt that there are so many different ways to make things work even just for me. And even more so for different people with different body mechanics etc.
      Its obviously working for him judging by his playing and he seems to keep improving still even after a long career! Hopefully i'm right as i love his playing! Don't f your wrist up, Dallas! You've been my biggest inspiration for finally stepping up and start improving on guitar again after 10 years lost in a dead end. Your playing is one of a kind! Incredibly creative and naturally virtuosic in a natural non-pretentious way. Also showing me its possible to improve even if i am far from a teenager anymore. Thanks!

      To play guitar is pain! But with proper warm ups I can relax more and not tense up. If you are all tense then you really risk hurting yourself.

      Dallas if you released a signature guitar what would the body style be, and what woods and electronics would you have in your signature guitar?

    • @narcoticwasteland
      @narcoticwasteland  4 месяца назад +4

      @@frankmoss2497It would most likely be a v shape with an alder body and maple neck. I am not too picky about the fingerboard since I like really big frets. Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck. One CTS volume knob away from my picking hand. I really love the neck profiles on the js models. Oh yes standard tune o matic bridge with locking tuners.
