@@zagros24 Well said.
@@TheZachary86 The media has made fear and paranoia spread faster than the virus itself. It has done the same with SARS, MERS, H1N1, Dengue Fever and Ebola over the last 15 years. And to be honest, the made an amazing job spreading the fear, because with Ebola outbreak (which is a way more dangerous virus with a 50% mortality rate), they didn't get as much as the attention the COVID-19 is.
Kinda eerie I'm sure y'all agree like out of a movie😬
Eddie Garcia I think it’s beautiful, really. We’ve never paused as a humanity to think of the negative aspects of rapid development and constant connection between us that ends up severing our relations with nature and tradition. If something good comes of the virus, it’s the realization of how much harm we’ve caused to cultural sites around the world and how we won’t stop our hedonistic instincts for a few instagram photos.

A frightening reality of a pandemic......
It is clearly less of a deadly pandemic than the typical flu.
Last year, according to the CDCs own website, 62,100 people died from the regular flu. At the peak season thats 4,000 people dead every week.
Yet magically the world didn’t shut down. There wasn’t any panic.
The media and social media are literally inciting panic over something that isn’t that serious.
The real question is why. What’s driving the sort of coverage this is virus is receiving? That’s what I want to know.

Sadly in India, our people are roaming as if they are immune to COVID19. Similar situation had happened in Bombay Presidency in British India and Portuguese Goa in 1860s during the plague, many people died.
Covid will definitely massacre at least 100,000 Indians
Interesting. Let's hope this quarantining brings and end to this pandemic.
@skully I sure hope so. My daughter is in college and they aren't planning to close, plus she also works retail and they won't allow workers to wear gloves or masks. Thank you for your comment.
@skully Hello again, There are many steps involved in the preparation, testing, and approval of a vaccine. Even if the production of a vaccine is put on a fast track with some formalities waived, it is likely to take nearly a year, many months for sure. The Chinese have put this on a fast track and report a Med or the like that cures monkeys, but I have not yet seen the actual report. There is a slim chance something can be incorporated into the Fall 2020 flu shots, but it is in reality too late for that to be a viable option. There are antivirals and I have seen mathematical studies predicting which may be most effective. Many of these mathematical and designer drug papers have come out of China (in English). The mathematics looks at the molecular envelope or surface of the virus, and AI looks for the drugs that said virus would be most vulnerable to. One lesson is the great power of mathematics and AI, and another is how far China has come within little more than a generation, although there are still gapping holes in their system.
@Handsome Squidward Hello, please see my reply to Skully, below, and thank you and Skully for your comments.

I think we all needed a kick in our collected complacency about what we've been doing to this planet because our hubris and arrogance. I hope some good comes out if this but I fear we haven't yet learned our lesson as yet so there will be more tough times ahead. Our ancestors and great grandparents dealt with more difficult times than this and they were stronger because of it. Weak and complacent is hardly a characteristic to build on.
