Our season was actually over a while ago ... now its just a slow bleed

The current lot don't know what it means to wear that famous white shirt as illustrated in the 1st half at Chelsea and too many times in the last few seasons.
Why is Ange going to be 'calling the players out' ? He's the manager, he dictates how the team plays, he said they don't practice defending against set pieces.
He didn't say that ,he eluded that set pieces were only part of the problem. It was a badly worded answer, the way it was jumped on. Change is required ,also seeing a culture shock incoming for some players and fans ,who don't get it ? Dropping below 5th will be more pressure ,but the hatchet is going to fall this summer , Ange will have no qualms about that, and Levy time is over unless he sacks him and dose not back him.
I cannot believe that we still have so many of the same players stinking out the club. Gil came in last night - I thought he'd long been shown the door! Royale is so bad - do you remember when we played Watford away and they just left him unmarked and let him have the ball all the time? Yet he's starting away to Chelski when we're desperate for a win! It's utter madness. The new manager won't be able to move us forward with these players. Very frustrating and so typically Levy.
That's another massive problem!! So many poor players out on loan and stilli n the squad .How is ange going to get more players in with this situation which is down to poor recruitment!!

We are in the first year of a massive rebuild that is contrary to fans seeking rapid success . Finally the season is nearly done and we can recover from our high expectations and look forward to at least 50% improvement with results following a great summer transfer window . COYS

"We've got the right manager"? You are being very positive B. I'll give him one more transfer window and maybe until about Christmas before I turn entirely. His pre-match interview saying set pieces are not a priority was probably the worst coach interview I've ever seen. This on top of his defense of the foolish permanent high line. I think he's out of his depth and proudly stubborn to keep making the same mistakes over and over. But maybe we'll get Paulinha, Gallagher, Raphinha, SGimenez, Tosin, Frimpong, Grimaldo, and a cyborg Maradona to make it all work for Ange this summer.
Bottom line is we've become so easy to play against & also very, very predictable ... i had to do a double take to make sure Nuno wasn't back in the dugout lastnite, i mean we looked absolutely clueless at points
Then Ange comes out yesterday in the embargoed section of he's press conference saying certain player's aren't buying into he's system & methods . . . very worrying tbh

I would sell Vicario. He isn’t tall enough, strong enough and he doesn’t command the box. Also sell Gill, Royal, Richarlison, Bissouma, EPH. Ange is too stuck in his ways to adapt and won’t listen to reason. To fail to acknowledge set piece issues is unbelievable.

alarming to see how gutless we looked from top to bottom, without VDV we were 3-0 down inside 10 mins... soon as you get a striker faster than him we f*cked there too. no imagination and with Ange shouting from the sidelines (for a change) my fear is has he lost the dressing room already?

Football is simple really. Create time and space going forward so your attackers have more chances to score, and keep it tight giving your opposition no time and space to score when you defend.
Ange's style of play does the opposite.

Hi Barnaby, I echo ur thoughts about last night's game against Chelsea. Personally I want Ange to go I think he is clueless and the players are not playing for him any longer. Half of this team needs to be gone they are just not good enough. Like you said the season is over and I can see us getting well beaten on Sunday. I am so depressed with this team

High line, low block you were still going to lose it was only a matter of time before they scored. That was a test of your players mentality and fortitude and they passed that test at that point, they are failing miserably at the moment

We're so shite right now. I agree with the 3-0 prediction. Given that the Spursy thing to do would be to put Romero at 6, Dragusin at CB, Lo Celso and Madders together in the midfield and we smash them 1-3. 🙏
I give up !!. From what Ange has said and the way he is managing.
He is not interested in changing anything.
He is not interested in coaching.
He wont admit that anything is wrong.
He only wants to play in half the pitch leaving us wide open to easy counter attacks.
By compressing our attacking play he is putting our whole team under extreme pressure all the time, which reduces planning and thinking time; and conversely gives our opponents more time to think and react.
He insists on playing the rigid zonal marking system in defence, which leaves our players out of position and bewildered.
He doesn't play to our teams strengths, or even care what they are, and he demands everyone plays his team style whether they are suited to it or not.
He doesn't play to our players strengths so they they are compromised due to his lack of planning, thus passing the problem onto the next player or player's in the team.
He doesn't care how opposition teams play, so Spurs are tactically under prepared for what we are about to face.
Substitutions seem to be made in an ad-hoc fashion with poor timing. 'seat of the pants stuff'.
Team selections don't seem to be made on merit or form, and if player's aren't buying into Ange's system they get the cold shoulder.
It is also apparent that player's are trained to excess given the number of training ground injuries we have endured.
I'm sure there is more that could be said, but blaming the player's for this mess isn't one of them .
The player's are not mind-readers nor are they automatons. They deserve respect as human beings and deserve a plan with reasoned tactics to tackle the formidable obstacles that other opposing team's players and tactics present.
I don't see Ange's approach winning anything in the Premier or Football League. And I don't think any European football will be on the cards next season.
I wish I was wrong about all this but stubborn myopic managers are not what Tottenham Hotspur needs.

Adapt to what, a shit underachieving mentality hoping for at best a top 4 position. The downturn is the players seeking an easy way out because his style of play is demanding. All these coaches in and out but the same average results, blame the managers but the constant seems to be the board and the titanic amount of dead wood players…. You guys want the best for your club but go for the bargain bin players and when someone tries to change the mentality they immediately have to be sacked. Everyone is frustrated, upset, disappointed etc but this is good. See what these bunch are made of and see what they have to offer etc.

It’s really sad how defeatist this gets. I’m a Spurs fan but embarrassed sometimes how “poor us” the narrative gets when we have a few losses. If Spurs players reflected their fans it would be in League. Start showing some backbone yourselves.

The season was over when Ange signed on.He should have taken the step up to a Championship club.There were plenty of offers.The SACK is not an IF, its actually when.Plan A(NGE) has been exposed.One trick ponies have short careers at EPL level....IF, he is kept on next season, even with a few players coming in, every team will have counter tactics.

We’ve been erratic post Christmas and the usual,recent, Spurs frailties are still around. Lack of drive; overrun midfield; poor at defensive set pieces; naive. Still, Levy will sort it but giving him the players he wants….. 🤣🤣🤣

It's the club not the players, something seeps into their heads and they become garbage, seen it too often it can't be a coincidence. When Dier can go to Bayern and turn into an important player for them when at Spurs he was the crown prince of everything that made us Spursy, then I think we need to look beyond the players and stop expecting some new buys to rid us off of something that seems to be built into the very fabric of the club.
We do have a lot of weak minded players aswell.
