@@thomasvrielink299 Good thing he has 100% religious unity and Greek as an accepted culture unlike the Knights or else his only province could've had more separatists than his army and the game could've ended earlier

Hey man thanks for a longer video, I probably won’t finish all of this tonight but I can’t wait to finish this video as soon as possible. Keep the great videos coming
Laith is easily the most entertaining EU4 content creator on the internet. Some may be better in the more technical aspects of the game, but no one is as fun to watch. The streams are pretty great too. I highly recommend checking out their twitch channel for more extended content and Laith generally losing his grip on his sanity, great times.
See, I told you on Reddit we trusted your integrity and here you post a video with a short explanation for the England video, even though you didn’t have to
How badly does flat dev nerf the Ottomans? Obviously with Constantinople not being huge dev. But does it weaken their typical rivals too? I would guess the Mamluks get a relative buff due to province count.
when i played as opm custom nation Sparta i declared on Byzantium too & Serbia was their ally... i was really lucky though cos serbia did initially get acces & start sieging my provinces but i was already on Constantinople & had sieged their other land down and then ottomans declared on byzantium after i already had all their land sieged down (dumb move by otto) and so they killed off the serbians for me... and i took all of byzantium
i did a war against otto recently while allied to mamluks... a tiny tunis was involved cos spain had taken most of it... mamluks took the 4 provinces of tunis.. so i gave what i thought was all that land to mamluks cos i didnt want it.. but wierdly i didnt realise mamluks had given the control to me (saxony) so i ended up with it.. i was surprised that mamluks wouldnt want that land right next to them... anyway im glad they didnt want it now cos it made it easier for me to attack spain later on..
Laith saying in first few mins "Epirus to Ireland" sounds like a fun idea. But even more fun and further from the Ottomans would be United States of Epirus 😆
i had an idea how to make the game better with forts & zones of control.. i think forts should have offensive capability. I think coastal forts should have zones of control as well with offensive capability. In ww1, the main reason we couldnt successfully invade gallipoli is because we didnt take control of the seas, their coastal forts (otto) kept damaging our ships (& also sea mines) - My idea is this... you keep the zones of control where you cant enter or pass by the fort (also adding it to coastal sea areas - making coastal forts more useful for building) BUT - the attacker can have the option to ignore the zone of control and try to pass by the fort, taking damage each month until out of the zone of control... ive played strategy games before with this option from 15+ years ago... it is highly unrealistic that an army cant pass by a fort if they so choose
@@Jamie-st6of yeah attrition i guess is the same thing... but it doesnt add a zone of control. my point is there should be an auto zone of control unless you decide to ignore it like it asks you if you want to ignore it & take damage.
I think you actually left random dev on. Flat dev makes every province 11 dev, so overall better than most provinces in the game; whereas for some reason reloading the game while random dev is on, makes every province 3 dev.
Ironic, that when you fought the Ottomans, you technically won but at a great cost. It’s like you were following the legacy of Pyrrhus with a Pyrrhic victory
@@Jamie-st6of ive never seen it that big.. its only 100 years in.. they havent conquered anyone.. id already beaten them in 2 wars before that where they had 69k and then 110k.. most of the balkans are my vassal byzantium & bulgaria.. they are not very big
@@NothingSerious...2 what does it do? is there a limit on what the advantages are? do the advantages for a higher number increase in a linear fashion or get gradually worse? ie 5 a is twice as good as a 2.5 but a 10 is only 1.5 times better than a five? etc... im assuming it effects likelihood to get allies, speed of vassal integration etc.. anything else? does it make it less likely people will coalition you? decrease ae? is there a list somewhere of all its effects? im wondering if there is an OP way to max diplo so you just end up conquering the world without ever having to war... for example i got 2 PU's as saxony without even trying.. England and palpatine.. i almost never get pus but often im below 0 diplo rep...
@@tigrecito48 Dip rep helps you with getting allies (it's 1 of the modifiers) and with anexing subjects. However it's not all.
