- On the recent Chiustream Bobby was joined by our Schoolism Lakehouse artist Thierry Lafontaine while they answered your questions LIVE. They shared great advice on how to find motivation (this is important for any professional, since you are always making up your own projects!), how to stand out these days in a world overwhelmed with social media, and some of the best studies that any new artist should practice. Watch it now on youtube, and you’ll also see Bobby paint one of his newest creatures, his popsicle unicorn!

What a great way to start Christmas morning
wow Bobby, you really understand every thought of me as a begginer ! I really like when you said you wanted to make, create concept art which is epic and cubes and spheres are least related to those epic artworks! Hahahaha XD that's so me at the beginning and I'm still struggling with it because of my impatience ^^. Thanks for the inspiring video, I will try harder !
i love that Bobby Chiu mentions Dr. Joe Dispenza, I been reading his books and watching his lectures on youtube (including You are The Placebo which Bobby read) for the past couple months. His teachings along with his guided meditations , really changed the way I view myself as an artist. I can definitely relate to meditating as a way to motivate yourself, also affirmations like Bobby does really change your outlook . Your thoughts about yourself really effect your life.
Hi there, Nancy here for Bobby! Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the video! -Nancy
Always warms my heart to hear T's voice and life approach!
I'm so excited, I just signed up for the year subscription for Schoolism! I really want to focus on my own art more this next year, and I think this will really help keep me on track. I also loved what you said about setting aside a couple hours each day just for your own learning and art projects that you don't let anyone interfere with. I actually just came to the realization a few days ago that I need to do this! I've always had the mentality that my clients always come first and my work is just for fun when I have time (which is hardly ever), but I decided I need to just start being my own client and make sure my time is just as much of a priority!
“Forget bitcoin “ haha , that definitely sold the product a million times better ^^!!
LeonW he probably never heard one time bitcoins was worth 1 dollar.
lol at one point they were less than a penny.

Feliz navidad to bobby chiu and everybody!
other artists outside? I'm new on Instagram and need another artist to follow, please add @rivaroart
I got accepted into Ringling College just this month! Hope to see you there in the future!
You still wont be a successful artist. You don't have what it takes, plus Ringling hasn't been a good school in over a decade.
And how exactly do you know that? Kinda pointless to just tell somebody that don't you think? Maybe he'll learn on his own as well and work hard. Did you fail and decided to try to wreck other people's motivation?
@@LagOknenonok Probably.
So, have you graduated yet?
my motivation of drawing with a project less interesting is thinking about at a tangible product and the existence of visual communication itself as a human beings i dont know why but i just love it maybe is something to discover for every artist
Thank you for all your helpful suggestions !
Thank you Bobby for answering my question!
Bobby's going to Israel?? Oh my god, the timing!! I couldn't be happier. :) You'll enjoy it greatly here !
This video, was so inspiring. Thank you so much for your videos in General. I'm right now sitting in my office, at a work I do not want that has nothing to do with what I've studied and nothing to do with what I am trying to achieve, I am working while listening to your videos and looking at them whenever I feel like screaming and honestly it gives me hope. Thank you so so much.
P.S If someone has any idea where I could possible find a brush like that, please do let me know! I've been searching for something like it for a good amount of time, still nothing though.
Wish you all a beautiful day, wherever you are, no matter what you're doing. Keep on smiling and stay inspired for you!
La Fontaine - what a beautiful name!
Oh my goodness! I'm a current junior in Ringling!! I'm a huge fan and I can't wait to see you there!!!!
The world is ready for Ravishing Bobby Chu

Lubos ルボス Nemec ネメツ there's never too much porn in the world.
anyone knows how did bobby draw on a locked layer (background) at the very beginning??
What video in specific was he talking about. When he talks about the guy and the meditation? If anyone knows about the video plz name it or link it to me pls
in the beginning 6:28 channel was used. can anyone explain the use and importance of this? it would be a great help ..
forgive me to say... maybe I'm wrong.... but I feel Schoolism is designed for (already artists) not for (early-steps guys). am I right?
Majed Suleiman that's what I've been wondering!
Hey, hope you don't mind me throwing in my two cents! Some of Schoolism's classes are indeed aimed at more experienced artists (Creature Anatomy with Terryl Whitlatch, Portfolio Review with Craig Mullins, Advanced Character Design with Stephen Silver, etc), but there are also plenty of classes that are great for people who are just starting out! Of course, I can't speak for all of the classes since I haven't taken them all, but I'm on Jonathan Hardesty's Essentials of Realism right now (self-taught subscription), and I think it's a great introduction to art fundamentals that are widely applicable even if you don't plan on drawing "realistic" stuff.
If you're interested in a particular course, you can take a look at the lesson plans, watch the instructor's introduction/promo video, and poke around the Internet for reviews/assignments done by people who have already taken it to see if it's your cup of tea.
Hope this helps!
Way Too Emily thank you very much for your input Emily! 😊
No problem! Happy learning! :D
Depends on which course you take. Some of them are, some of them aren't.
Sometime i Wonder if talented Artist motivate or discourage me...? 🙂☺
Holy shit you're coming to israel?! I need more details! When?! How do I sign up?!
can someone link me the tutorial bobby is talking about pls i need it
I'd love to apply for The Schoolism House but i have not enough Time because of Work :/
You need to do a dml
It's so depressing, I'm from PH, can't even afford subscription with critiq. I'm too poor :'< , if we only have dollar currency ... perhaps I could join in huhu
Yes, tho. 🙂
Oh
You mean visual projection ... a streamlined version of daydreaming ;)
Greg who? Who was the master of cubes?
Craig Mullins. look him up and be amazed...
“Forget bitcoin” hahaha, Damn Bobby. When will you accept bitcoin or at least Litecoin as payment on schoolism?
I thought video says 15 dollar a month but on the page its 29.95?
Hi! I work at Schoolism. Our old price for subscription was $15.00 a month, but recently we needed to increase the price as the old price wasn't sustainable anymore for the studio. It is now $29.95 a month, but you can now switch between ALL of our classes for free! There used to be a $1.00 for every switch, but we decided to get rid of that feature. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to email us at: info@schoolism.com! ~ R
No you won’t be blown away. The plot sucks
