I slice them in about 1/2 inch pieces & boil them. Only takes about 15 minutes. Then lightly mash with a fork add non dairy butter, salt & pepper chopped onions & garlic powder. LOVE!

We cook ours in the slow cooker. Just scrub the sweet potatoes and put inside slow cooker. Cook on high about 2-3 hours. The skin gets soft and the potato juices caramelize. We eat the whole potato, skin and all, with a bit of organic, cultured unsalted butter and a tiny pinch of sea salt.

I've discovered sweet potatoes recently and i love them!! In the oven, in a soup, in a quiche or "fried" (I chop them in sticks, spray some olive oil on them and put them in the oven for 40/45min and they are done!!) super easy and healthy!
I live in France and they are quite expensive though .. Way More expensive than normal potatoes !

sweet potatoes are one of my favourite foods. I usually bake them like this but I rub a bit of oil and salt/seasoning on the skin first.
I did not like cilantro either first time I had it.. but then I had it on top of African chicken peanut stew..The stew has sweet potatoes, peanut butter, tomatoes, broth, lots of coriander and some salt, pepper and cayenne served over rice and topped with peanuts and fresh cilantro. it was soooo delicious and now I am totally hooked on fresh cilantro!! It is so delicious I would eat the stew even without the chicken and still love it vegetarian style too!!
I've been having baked sweet potatoes as breakfast for the past three weeks or so and I just can't seem to stop eating them, they're soooo good! I always top them with almond butter and some kind of syrup, either maple or blackstrap molasses and it's the bomb diggity, you have to try that combination :) x

Hi Olga, I love all you videos! I eat my sweet potatoes in a similar way to yours but instead of tomato I add avocado on top and I use home-made tahini/lemon dressing. :)

Looks delicious! I only got into the sweet potatoes over the last few years, and make them at least 1-2 times a week (as baked fries or just baked). I try to avoid cilantro because I'm one of those "lucky" people where it tastes like soap :p

I tried to bake these sweet potatoes according to your video, step by step, exactly the same, the oven temperature the poking holes on the sweet potato but it came out REALLY REALLY hard and i couldnt really eat it. It wasn't soft like how it looks in your video. So i kept baking it, for nearly 2 hours... still it was quite hard!
Could you please tell me where I am going wrong maybe....
