I've always thought this was the only performance of Dimash that we'll,er was embarrassing. But wisdom enter sometime later and I have gathered more positive rather than negative😊 eg his energy level is impressive,his feat of learning this fast pace English lyrics when he doesn't speak the language,outstanding! I have just one thing to say, genius ! Whoever says it wasn't so great, well, let's think about it a second. To learn a song like this in a foreign language in 5 days, to make the arrangement and to deliver it like that, full of energy, charisma, dancing and interacting with everyone in the studio, inviting in even the people backstage....all this under the pressure of the biggest competition of your life......well, wow. I honestly like it more than the original...as you said Barry, it makes me happy and to love this kid more. I don't think I know someone who could deliver this like him in 5 days, even if he/she is an English speaker...so...there's my opinion 😉

I don't like this performance but Dimash has no bad songs or performances. Even when sick [Daybreak] or nervous [SOS] he is still good/perfect. But he has very good performances with other genres like in: Screaming, Screaming (Idol hits), Give me your love, Jamaica and Queen medley (On Facebook) to name some!

I completely disagree with them OI love this performance. Those are the people who expect crazy vocal acrobatics, dramatic, genius types of songs are deluded and not realistic at all. Dimash should never limit his music to cater to these so called 'fans'.
Dimash was in a competition and showed his diversity and going outside the comfort zone. Frankly I am glad you did not listen to others about this song! His choices throughout the competition showed just how he could perform any type of song! he is just that awesome! :-) He really showed his love for MUSIC- no matter what type! You will need to watch one of his concerts online and you will see his concerts are non stop energy of ballads and upbeat songs!

I love this performance, I don't know why it's not popular between dears. It was just pure fun, and he got the audience to have a good time. What's wrong with that?

The first time I heard this I thought the song was beneath him based on his previous songs but after studying him and getting to know his fun side it makes me happy to see him acting young and having fun. The song is so fast it doesn't allow him to sing his best but I think if he did more like this we would get used to it. I love his Michael Jackson tribute "Give me your love" which is young and fun. Maybe you would like to review that?
I love the energy in this performance and It shows that Dimash can Sing any kind of music. As for the way he interacts with public you should watch one of his live concerts! New York concert on December 2019 was super!

I love this performance as you say it’s not structurally a great song but it’s so much fun. It’s also a change from his normal choice of ballads and operatic songs. If you want to see a couple more songs in this vain react to Screaming which definitely shows his vocal range and Give me your Love, both pop songs and very complex in an understated manner. I absolutely LOVE it! He is fun, he is enjoying it, so are his Dears, and I listened to the original, but it didn't do anything for me. Dimash can sing anything. He could even chant in a Greek orthodox church or even Gregorian Chants!

Hi Barry, you must listen to “Give me your love”. It is a song that Dimash wrote in Micheal Jackson style. His dancing is much better there, since he’s been taking dance lessons. That is typical Dimash, if can’t do something, he learn it, he throughs himself with absolute focus and commitment, take lessons and master it. He is taking English and Chinese lessons to be able to speak and read the language. At the same time he is improving his pronunciation of songs in other languages. Before this show he was only fluent in Kashak an Russian. His English has improved bounts and heaps. At the same time he is still studying at university. That happens when your true passion becomes your work. You just want to do more and more. Loved your reaction. And YES, I want to see your cats reaction. I noticed that my cats will come and sit with me when I play Dimash’s songs and walk away when I stop.

Not appropriate for this song at all. Dimash has intelligence and sensitivity in music.....he UNDERSTANDS fully well what is appropriate and inappropriate so he NEVER overdo nor 'under do' his singing/vocals choices.
I think people usually say to skip this one because it's not the best performance and they don't want to "waste" the reaction. Although I don't care for it, I must admit it does highlight 1) The orchestra is great, as usual; 2) It shows a side of Dimash you don't see as often...to the point we almost forget how young he is; and 3) He does seem to be having fun - it always amazes me how everyone is familiar with the song.

HI Barry, of course you want to, and should listen to ALL his performances! Great review! Hated the styling of this performance, like they threw a blanket over him. He is born to be on stage. His 3 hour long soloconcerts does include a lot of pop, uptempo songs that are npt my favourites on my playlist but much needed contrast. If ee are allowed to go to his concerts next year you will come, won't you? Do put up the cat film, of course we want to watch it! Dimash singing ABBA? Yes why not, he kills everything. But concidering the post-ABBA work of Benny I would love him to compose for Dimash. They both share a common interest in folkmusic as well. Dimash would do something epic of Klinga mina klockor, a mix of swedish and kazakh folklore. Love from 🇸🇪.

Hello Svetlana. I will react to all of your wonderful suggestions. I do not have the option to turn on Russian subtitles. I have to translate all of my videos word by word into Russian and Spanish. I have completed several so far and I’m working hard to do more. Dimash is a great singer, but the funk genre does not suit his voice. Also, the show's production (e.g. choreography, arrangement, wardrobe, etc.) missed the mark on funk and the attitude it conveys. I love how he arranged the music and everything!! When I saw the title of your reaction, I was confused a bit, because it is so fun!!! And he's having so much fun and it's VERY MUCH contagious!!! Just Dimash playing with genres and styles. It's fun. Nobody is crazy about the song per se, but Dimash is always an interesting experience from the sublime to the beautiful to the ridiculously incredible. I like it and think he pulls it off considering his normal style of sorts. But Dimash has great energy. Check out Give me Your Love...a song in the style of MJ. If you are a real performer you should show all your talent not only in voice technique but also in many ways of singing either if that is a pop, rock, ballad. Dimash know everything the control is always there. This version of him Uptown funk I love it I only knew the song bec.of him I didn't know that the original singer of that is Bruno Mars. And I love Dimash version period.

I completely disagree with them OI love this performance. Those are the people who expect crazy vocal acrobatics, dramatic, genius types of songs are deluded and not realistic at all. Dimash should never limit his music to cater to these so called 'fans'.

Dimash was in a competition and showed his diversity and going outside the comfort zone. Frankly I am glad you did not listen to others about this song! His choices throughout the competition showed just how he could perform any type of song! he is just that awesome! :-) He really showed his love for MUSIC- no matter what type! You will need to watch one of his concerts online and you will see his concerts are non stop energy of ballads and upbeat songs!

The first time I heard this I thought the song was beneath him based on his previous songs but after studying him and getting to know his fun side it makes me happy to see him acting young and having fun. The song is so fast it doesn't allow him to sing his best but I think if he did more like this we would get used to it. I love his Michael Jackson tribute "Give me your love" which is young and fun. Maybe you would like to review that?

I love this performance as you say it’s not structurally a great song but it’s so much fun. It’s also a change from his normal choice of ballads and operatic songs. If you want to see a couple more songs in this vain react to Screaming which definitely shows his vocal range and Give me your Love, both pop songs and very complex in an understated manner. I absolutely LOVE it! He is fun, he is enjoying it, so are his Dears, and I listened to the original, but it didn't do anything for me. Dimash can sing anything. He could even chant in a Greek orthodox church or even Gregorian Chants!

Hi Barry, you must listen to “Give me your love”. It is a song that Dimash wrote in Micheal Jackson style. His dancing is much better there, since he’s been taking dance lessons. That is typical Dimash, if can’t do something, he learn it, he throughs himself with absolute focus and commitment, take lessons and master it. He is taking English and Chinese lessons to be able to speak and read the language. At the same time he is improving his pronunciation of songs in other languages. Before this show he was only fluent in Kashak an Russian. His English has improved bounts and heaps. At the same time he is still studying at university. That happens when your true passion becomes your work. You just want to do more and more. Loved your reaction.
And YES, I want to see your cats reaction. I noticed that my cats will come and sit with me when I play Dimash’s songs and walk away when I stop.

Not appropriate for this song at all. Dimash has intelligence and sensitivity in music.....he UNDERSTANDS fully well what is appropriate and inappropriate so he NEVER overdo nor 'under do' his singing/vocals choices.
I think people usually say to skip this one because it's not the best performance and they don't want to "waste" the reaction. Although I don't care for it, I must admit it does highlight 1) The orchestra is great, as usual; 2) It shows a side of Dimash you don't see as often...to the point we almost forget how young he is; and 3) He does seem to be having fun - it always amazes me how everyone is familiar with the song.

HI Barry, of course you want to, and should listen to ALL his performances! Great review! Hated the styling of this performance, like they threw a blanket over him. He is born to be on stage. His 3 hour long soloconcerts does include a lot of pop, uptempo songs that are npt my favourites on my playlist but much needed contrast. If ee are allowed to go to his concerts next year you will come, won't you?

I do not have the option to turn on Russian subtitles. I have to translate all of my videos word by word into Russian and Spanish. I have completed several so far and I’m working hard to do more. Dimash is a great singer, but the funk genre does not suit his voice. Also, the show's production (e.g. choreography, arrangement, wardrobe, etc.) missed the mark on funk and the attitude it conveys. I loved it because he is a young guy and is having such fun! I love his serious songs much more but this shows his young fun side so well! His performance with super vocal boys (queen medley) was INCREDIBLE!
Just Dimash playing with genres and styles. It's fun. Nobody is crazy about the song per se, but Dimash is always an interesting experience from the sublime to the beautiful to the ridiculously incredible. I like it and think he pulls it off considering his normal style of sorts. But Dimash has great energy. Check out Give me Your Love...a song in the style of MJ. Dimash pulls off some great dance moves.

If you are a real performer you should show all your talent not only in voice technique but also in many ways of singing either if that is a pop, rock, ballad. Dimash know everything the control is always there. This version of him Uptown funk I love it I only knew the song bec.of him I didn't know that the original singer of that is Bruno Mars. And I love Dimash version period.
