I have bought Acid-base imbalance disorder course . It is very intelligence. I wish i have a friend to share me with discussion over each single sophisticated points you make Dr Medicosis , the great philosophy educationist
Wow that was so clear, love your funny 2nd voice too, it's this video that made me wanna become a member. I just wanted to show my appreciation but then I looked at the perks... Even better! Thank you 🤠
Great video, but consider the posibility that the de/re-polarization is simply how a BIO-CONDUCTOR regenerates itself? (nature's copper wire) And yes! The actual data is communicated at the speed of light? That would explain our consciousness?
No the actual data is communicated when the positivity reaches the neuron terminal which is not near light speed, and NO light speed does not explain consciousness.
I dont know how to thank you but I'm very grateful ,you just explain so well. I can fully understand a topic when I listen to your lectures only and you also revise the entire topic from beginning in very video. Thank you so much. 😃
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis oh aweseome :)) I eliminated the answer “ cannot be determined” bc you said its answerable (lol) And then I saw that its a myelinated nerve Also the range of miliseconds for the impulse velocity was compatible wth B fibers so I chose B 😂
Hello what type of lung disease can people get that non smokers and never smoked? I am sorry for my messing typing I got special needs and autism reason why my typing is bit messing i am interested in lungs thank you for your time love from jess xxx
They can get cancer as well especially adenocarcinoma, also lung fibrosis, occupational lung diseases, cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease which also affects lung etc etc
It's type B fibers... Just URM 🤭 But I was wondering... If the AP depolaryzation comes from -90 to +135... Then the value of Na+ is a functional value or something? 👀
Oh yeah, i mean, the value of the extracellular sodium is a functional value? Because it rise the action potential from -90 to +135 in a equivalent value of it's normal value as an extracelular ion... Then we can consider it a functional value? Or is just a random fortuity... 😁 Thanks master for your interest in all your Padawans, love your perfect perfectionalis work!
To 35+* ... and do you mean a functional value like is it a constant, certain or a measured value that let's say "this amount needs to be influxed" for an action potential to occur?
i'm sorry.. horrible demonstration of why sodium is faster. If the sodium can get through at 45 degrees why can't the potassium? and why can't it just open and close 45? then it would be the same speed.
He's describing the effects of the double gated Na channels and single tasted K channels, this is the reason for the variation in speed. Hope it helps.

I made a mistake...
Mistake: Magnitude of action Potential = 135 mV.
Correction: Magnitude of action Potential = 125 mV.
The susceptibility to LA is also wrong
To err is human

What question are you referring to, please?
Can you remind me?

btw. Great lecture ❤️❤️
hyperpolarization is due to continuous potassium efflux right?
answer is type b fibre because speed will be 70mm/7msec = 10 m/sec😀hope i am right
thats what i thought too
Amazing as always

I have a question ; the potential of Na is +65 so why does it stop by +35 and why does it go back to -90 not -70
Good video
Thank you 😊
I thought type B fibers were the ones more susceptible to hypoxia.
It’s a common mistake among students and some professors unfortunately!

Is it B fibers ?
(Sorry if its incorrect)

How did you know it’s B fibers?
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis ı know ur too kind to say “no its not” directly haha

You’re very smart!
What happens to sodium ions after their influx occurs?
You are forever the best :)
Thank you 😊
B fibres
Velocity=70/7=10
isn’t resting membrane potential of a neuron -70 mV?
Some books use -70 mV whereas others use -90 mV…It doesn’t matter that much! Recall that you have different types of neurons, so there are variations!
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis fair enough.
