Wow, you did a great job dealing with all the tiny chips, especially on the thin edges. I would've given up on those and just filled it in with epoxy or something even if it looked ugly. You can barely tell it was damaged from the outside.
Impressive work! The superglue + baking soda mixture is interesting I’ve tried just plain superglue (no baking soda) for repairing a cracked Amiga case before, but it wasn’t strong enough and I swapped to using a plastic repair epoxy instead
Thanks! I believe there are better methods out there and a plastic-specific glue/adhesive is supposed to work better than the super glue and baking soda but I really wanted to try this method and so far I am not disappointed at all! And the glue was not even a good one! Lol
Muito bom! Very well done! I had a TK3000 when I was in Brazil. I knew it was Apple IIe clone. However, I never did much with it due to lack of technical information!! I wrote a couple of BASIC programs and played some games, that was all. I also had a TRS-80 Color Computer at the same time, and that's the computer I played w/ the most. (I remember seeing the CP-400's in the shopping malls Ibirapuera & Murumbi)
thanks James, yeah I recall the TK2000 and TK3000, I think Microdigital (the Brazilian manufacturer) even added ROM and keyboard with accents to better support Brazilian Portuguese!
Thanks! Regarding retrobrite I am not sure to be honest. I've read that it weakens the plastic and makes it brittle. This case is already so damaged... Well I will have until the summer to think about it! 😄
Why do sellers do the absolute worst job packing fragile stuff I swear to god. It costs next to nothing to pack stuff correctly. I swear they're just plain lazy. I had an old ThinkPad that was severely damaged thanks to that. Doesn't even work anymore, JB Weld wasn't even enough to keep the thing together. Pretty sure the motherboard has shock (drop) damage. Glad I only paid like $20 for it.
Very good restoration of the case, well done!
Thanks, it could be better if I could find all the tiny bits, but I am happy with the result! Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Yes, the result was pretty good considering how bad it was, far from perfect but I wasn't looking for perfection anyway!

I agree, he did a great job, especially with all those tiny pieces. I would've given up and just used JB Weld to fill in the missing plastic lol.

Nice reconstruction! Are you going to retrobrite it?

Were you able to fix the "2" key on the keyboard?
Also, maybe you can show us some good games for Apple //e. Thanks.
Hi, it is in my to-do list! I've been busy with other things but I gonna publish more videos on the Apple //e soon! Thanks for watching!
Update: in my latest video I managed to fix the key! ruclips.net/video/-tmkbSPHgzw/видео.html
@@non_maskable_interrupt Thanks I'll check out your video!
darn
It is a Frankenstein now, but at least it works!

Yeah I even messaged them saying that it is disrespectful with such an amazing machine. These older machines deserve a lot more respect and love!
