I can still remember that in Fallout 1 Tycho gave this following survival tip to The Vault Dweller "if water is clear, dont drink it because that would not mean it is clean. That means it is irradiated so only drink muddy water or water you cannot see through". Against that background, I find it strange that 4 has the option of both, clear and non radiated. But it may be the mod maker does not have the same insight Interplay did.
I'm so glad I found this channel. Just started back up with modding Fallout 4 and I've been out of the game for so long, it's nice to have current (2023+) recommendations. Would love for you to review and compare some of the "Immersion" overhauls. Thanks for the excellent videos!
This video did put me to sleep, but that's not a bad thing, because I really really needed to sleep, and I needed something boring to watch and listen to as I drifted away, so thank you for uploading this boring video.
Clean waters of the commonwealth - tropical is actually pretty realistic when it comes to clarity. Tropical waters are indeed among the clearest bodies of water on the planet due to low microorganisms. Only way I can think of as to why one may think it's weird, is due to the location being Boston.
Can you do a mod video comparing the different tree Mods of fallout for console? And I mean from the entire Commonwealth overhaul, such as escape from Boston, down to the mod, some trees. And the impact that has on the game and pre-combines.
I always look forward to your fallout videos, thanks for the content! 🙂🙂🙂🙂 As for suggestions, maybe audio related mods, like exterior/interior/regional ambience or mods that enhance/alter audio.
Very nice critique of these mods. Not many mod review channels show off cubemaps, comment on loose files or b2a and go as much into detail as you do in this video.
Vivid waters is my go to water mod simply for the reason you can mark it as a esl. Any mod that you can mark down as a light plugin is a win win for me.
Heyo bossman, I was actually using that Clean Water of the Commonwealth mod and noticed the Crystal wouldn't work. You said there's a way to. Can you explain how to do that? I have thalassophobia (fear of big/deep water) even in games, and wanted something that makes it where I can see in water. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just install a different preset, right click on the mod in Mod Organizer and find "open in explorer". Then extract Clean Water.7z and copy Clean Water - Crystal - Rads.esp in the Modules subfolder. I wouldn't advise using the no rads .esp because of its invisibility problem. Paste the .esp to the folder you opened earlier and delete whatever original plugin you installed. In MO, hit F5 and make sure the new plugin is checked. Done.
@@PancuroniumB The invisibility thing doesn't bother me all that much to be honest. I'll give that a tried tho as soon as I'm back on the PC, and thanks! I know it ain't your favorite or recommended mod just from watching your video buts it's the one I've been using so far and I figured if just ride it out I stead of changing things up.
Hey, I wanted to first say thanks for the performance guide you made 6 months ago which helped get me started in the right direction, but I wanted to ask if there’s any new performance mods / if you’d make an updated guide on it. I’m still getting stuttering and mid performance on ultra settings using a 4080 and a 14900k. Some reason, the bathroom loading in can be super laggy, despite using all of the suggested mods.
Disk Cache Enabler came out a few weeks after that video, it speeds up loading times by a bit. I assume you're playing at 4K, so I would suggest setting Toddrays to Low. Even a 4090 can't handle them properly at that resolution. Stuttering surprises me, I assume with a 14900k there shouldn't be any except for a little microstutter when moving quickly or switching to modded weapons that load loose files. Without more info I can't really diagnose what the problem might be.
@@PancuroniumB no I’m still only at 1080p, don’t have a nice monitor yet lol. I’ve been using BethINI suggested tweaks and then the ultra preset. Maybe I need to be more observant with those specific settings.
@@PancuroniumB do you have a discord I could per chance try to troubleshoot in? If not that then maybe do you have a personal load order I could follow verbatim?
@inconspicuousboar3177 At 1080p you should be doing great, 120+ FPS even at Corvega and the Financial District. Even if you're using relatively slow DDR4 RAM, it wouldn't explain stuttering and bad performance. Could be a system latency issue, but I doubt it unless all games are experiencing similar problems. I don't have a Discord (still thinking about it) but I'll give you a basic load order I always use when reviewing mods if you'll give me a few minutes.
Watching the "recommended" mod's comparison to vanilla further cemented that modders will try to fix stuff that ain't broken because man that is a straight up downgrade.
it's hard to get excited about any mods for over a year now not knowing what this update is about or when it may drop (if ever) since for me on xbox the skyrim AE thing broke so many of my mods it may be vanilla fallout is my only choice.
As someone who has sworn by wasteland water revival for years; this video made me realize it was a placebo affect.
Water overhaul mods 😭 I was so hyped for your vid today
and I’m not disappointed
You can blame me for that
This is actually pretty informative, I usually use WET + Vivid Waters. Also pretty please do environmental mods next with a cherry on top.

you have a really good intonation and voice overall. keep going brother!
1 - I didnt know I needed this, love it
2 - Have you considered a Settler/Civilian overhaul mod battle?
I love how threatening the thumbnail looks.

Good job dude. Really appreciating the frank-and-honest appraisals of Fallout 4 mods old and new. Keep it up 🙂
I was using the OG Better Coastal Waves and didn't know about WET. Thank you!
14:26 - thanks for the tip. I narrowed it down to the fluidsplat textures and deleted the rest of the mod.

Bro I love your channel. You make the best Fallout 4 mods content.
Woah, thanks man! That means a lot coming from you, your vids are way better than mine. I bet you'll reach 100k subs before I hit 10k.
I agree with that last bit about the blood looking better. If that part is ever isolated and released as its own thing id wanna download it
Having been in the navy and been all over the world, there is water that is so crystal clear you can see down for dozens and dozens of feet.

Would you please consider making a video on topics like textures packs like Langleys workshop,Stromberg vivid fallout AIO and natural landscapes?
I been a Vivid Waters user for years
Definitely a good choice but I started using CUTE with WET and WAVE more recent
I enjoyed you vid man.
Just curious if you'd do a mod review video on mods thay add sea creatures in the lakes and seas?
Thanks as always
Never forgot Wii U water guy, real MVP for that waste of money.
Thanks for the video, i was going to download the water enb2 haha
Bo'Oh'O'Wa'er
No it did not bore us. Thank you for doing these
this was worse than watching paint dry! love it
I just recently found your channel and I'm about to be playing fallout 4 for the first time but I want a heavy modded on Xbox One any suggestions
Hello Pancuronium, what inspired you to make a video about fallout 4 water re-texture and or effect mods?
Someone asked me to do it.
Understandable have a great day, keep up the good work

Yep thats water alright!
yo, we need that fallout blood overhaul XD
Clean Water of the Commonwealth.... yeah it looks like blue gatorade but I don't care .
This video didn't bore me at all, I been using Fallout Water Overhaul and I agree with you, Wet is way better.
that scraping sound is deafening.

2.42 , dunno but made me scary to swim there....
I wonder if there's something preventing a reimplementation of the reflection method used in older Gamebryo versions, because god is SSR terrible
hey do you think you can make a very quick video on how to edit damage for modded weapons using fallout 4 edit?
It's as easy as editing one variable, "Damage - Base" in the DNAM - Data category. I don't think it's difficult enough to warrant a tutorial.
Settlement scrap mods?
Im interested in what mods are there and which would be recommended by u
Scrap everything
@@ZehamKaiser That breaks a bunch of shit, would definitely recommend not using that one, ever. lol
water mods.. i am terrified.
Can someone ask the Simplicity of Sea mod author to port his mod over? I love it!
Timing is a bit unfortunate, but what better time to discuss water? :P
I would love a top x amount of mods off all time, based on your opinion.
am i tripping or is vanilla water generally better looking than WET
Would love to see some new vegas videos. I just got a desktop and am going back to modding.
What was the "Tuttels🤪💅🏼" at the end?
It's his goofy catchphrase.
Anyone know if WET has an issue with the NAT mod?
Please review some blood overhauls

Could you please do face replacement for the different factions 🙏
