Nice presentation, very simple and understandable. Question. The NCE stores the consists in the decoder using the 127 addresses. The TCS groups engines and the CS-105 runs both engines from that group. Will the CS-105 able to run an NCE consisted engine set without removing the CV19 address from each engine? Thx.
This is a great video and looks like a great product! Do you plan to make a similar version of this video showing the upgrade of a Digitrax system? In theory could this Booster Adapter be used to connect to NCE and Digitrax at the same time? Just curious about the limitations. I know when you run multiple boosters generally there is a requirement to bond or ground them all together depending on the brand. I believe it is also recommended to tune the voltage to make sure that all the booster are outputting voltage as close as possible to each other. Are there any recommendation for mixing boosters between brands? Obviously in this scenario the CS-105 isn’t outputting any power so it probably isn’t relevant in this scenario. I’ve been doing research on LCC and came across the CS-105. It’s a very neat product and will likely be my next system!
Thank you Brandon for watching! Yes we do plan on making a Digitrax version of this. You could do that but you would need to see if there would be any butting heads between the two brands of boosters that you plan to use. All the CS-105 would be doing then with the Booster Adapter is outputting Track Signal.
If replacing the CVP Easy DCC system with the TCS DCC system, you can potentially reuse your boosters. However, CVP uses an unpublished proprietary protocol for their throttles, and so far, there is no adapter device to use the CVP throttles on an LCC system. The reason that NCE throttles can be reused is that the Cab Bus protocol which NCE uses is published, and TCS created and adapter which is integrated into their CS-105.
You will need to make sure that the NCE Command Station is in Booster Mode. That way only the booster would be doing the talking and the Aux port on the CS-105 would be taking care of the Throttle bus.
You could replace it with a regular booster or use the CS-105's integrated booster as long as you connect them together via the common, thus freeing up the NCE command station and built in booster to work on another layout or to sell.
@@woodalexander This best matches what I was trying to ask. In the video they continued to use the NCE command station in the new TCS system which is not the scenario I was trying to ask about. I want to either sell the NCE command station or use it on another layout project.
Can the TCS system hook up with the NCE PowerCab i watched how Larry Puckett used the System & I was in Aww seeing Larry use it in Another RUclips ch. The N Scale Review he was showing the TCS throttles i liked the Throttle that he was using & showing yard mode the Engine rolled at a slow pace needed in Yard he centered the throttle at zero & the Engines eased to stop i thought that was totally Awesome I'd like to try this system but when asking the Hobby Shop that I buy 95% of my stuff at if they'd stock the system they said it probably wouldn't be feasible or profitable to stock the system as they already stock a well known product which is Digitrax.. Its disappointing when a Well known Hobby shop as they are, aren't up to trying something that is as Versatile as your Guys system is my only issue is I can't spend a big amount at one time if I could pay a little amount in small portions or save up over a few months I could Absolutely get this system and eventually I will either by ordering directly through you guys or from Another Dealer if you Guys would like me to let you know who the Dealer is that I buy from i can send you all a Email or call you Guys but I think this Dealer is missing out on a Good Product they Do sell your Decoders which I feel Honestly is a lot more superior to Anything that the company I mentioned sells.. And the TCS Decoder thats in my N Scale Siemens Charger I love it.. Love it.. Allen D
Thank you Allen! I know it is a bummer that your hobby shop won't stock our fantastic Command Station. Feel free to order from us directly! I am so happy you enjoy our decoder in your N Scale Bachmann Siemens Charger! Thank you for using our products and being a fan of TCS products.
Amazing local Model RR and amazing local DCC company

Yes, that will work since it is stored in the decoder itself.

Could I completely replace my CVP Easy DCC, with this system?? Or, will it work with CVP'S?

The v4 wireless throttles should work with the ALR900 XPressNet receiver when TCS adds XPressNet support. The v6 throttles will not work.
How do I eliminate the NCE Command station and still use all of those power boosters (lets say so I can use the NCE command on a different layout?)
Can you be more specific about your question? I'm pretty sure this is exactly what is covered in the video. Am I missing something?

@@Willamor1 Yeah, using a Power Pro system as a booster is sort of a waste unless you want to have a backup command station available.
Slick
