  • PDR manufactures some of the finest SMD BGA Rework stations available worldwide. Our IR rework stations have become the benchmark for soldering and desoldering quality, loaded with the features required for modern SMT BGA rework and these days, our customers achieve ultra-high production line yields, in a simple rework process.
The PDR IR Rework Stations are high-powered SMD/BGA rework stations heating with IR, both top and bottom. Using PDR's Focused IR component heating, with powerful Quartz IR PCB preheaters, they are designed to rework all SMDs / BGAs on small to extra-large PCB assemblies.
The PDR IR-E3 BGA rework station is tool-free, gas-free, instantly/precisely controllable, clean, modular, upgradeable and produces 100% yield BGA rework without any complications. It provides the extremely high levels of profiling and process control necessary for the effective rework of even the most advanced packages, including SMDs BGAs QFNs CSPs and LEDs on very difficult PCB applications, from micro to extra-large.
The station is well specified yet can be easily configured to your exact requirements, with a good range of advanced features to choose from, allowing the operator to quickly and safely rework all types of components without overheating the component, adjacents or the PCB. It uses all the proven attributes of PDR’s Focused IR technology, first introduced in 1987 and now used worldwide by over 4500 customers worldwide.

my previous employer bought an E3 back in 2011...great for smaller boards but larger boards require an E6 size bottom heater...we ended up migrating to an E6 after a year. PDR was our best BGA rework experience over Metcal and Sierra...

What is the IR source of top heater (lamp, laser etc.) and what are you using for focusing - is that lens(es) or diaphragm? Thanks

Thank you for the demo. I have an older station. 1600 series. I almost figured everything about the control unit but if you still have a user manual for it can you please send it?
There is one cracked glass element in the optical system. Do you sell spare parts? I live in Germany.
