Main reason I didn't include it is because if I included the dune miniseries, id have to include the children of Dune miniseries too and I don't wanna spoil Dune Messiah for myself. So I just kept the list to movies
Miniseries is pretty nice actually and definitely made me understand dune much more than Lynch movie. Both of those didn't age well one because old and other because TV but miniseries has another adventage and that it has sequel covering Dune messiah and children of dune.
Hm, Paul is miscast in der miniseries imo. Also the effects have aged even more poorly then in Lynchs adaption because this ist early made for TV CGI. And the costumes are hilariously bad - and the props mediocre at best. I give the miniserie two things though. The Harkonnen are not comically evil in this adaption - this has the best adaption of the Baron imo. And they have put most of the intrigue plotline in it - which is greatly reduced by Lynch and almost absent by Villeneuve.
Making a ranking list of two films and skipping the miniseries is kind of stretch to be honest.

For me its worst to best:
Miniseries - Lynch - Villeneuve.
Cool, haven't seen the miniseries yet but based on your comment I am probably not missing out lol
