Was missing a list of the games in description because I had to rewind three times to capture Eastward. Hope you don't mind. Definitely going to give these titles a look when I get a steamdeck. **Favorite Cozy Games:** - Eastward (including DLC Octopia) - Stardew Valley - Loddlenaut - Little Gnome Galaxy - Little Kitty Big City - Moonstone Island - A Little to the Left - Strange Horticulture - Roots of Pacha - A Short Hike - Florence **Wishlisted Games (Non-Cozy):** - Dredge - Persona (franchise) - Octopath Traveler (1 and 2) **Games Seeking Recommendations For:** - RPGs or adventure games similar to Zelda - Kingdom Hearts (on Steam)
This is 2 months old at this point so you might already have played it, but another cozy game I greatly enjoyed on the Steam Deck was Li'l Gator Game, it's a super cute sort of zelda-like experience (might be a somewhat inaccurate description, but that was the best comparison I could think of) and honestly helped me out a little in a low point in my life, I highly recommend it.
also, I would like to recommend one game that my wife really likes to play on the Steam Deck: Dome Keeper, while can be intense sometimes, the resource gathering and the routine of performing these actions makes it a great game to play while drinking a cup of coffee
great vid! dredge is a great game too - definitely pick it up! Octopath Traveler and Persona are both amazing franchise too - definitely try them.. KH also runs amazingly well on steam deck. I've got a switch too but personally I get everything that's multi-platform on PC/steam because of the backwards and forwards compatibility - especially since you can also play it at greater fidelity than the switch (deck/docked or from a traditional PC)
I can't wait to get my steamdeck I'll definitely be trying Eastward and some of these other games. My Time at Portia is a great game I heard it plays great on steamdeck is my recommendation.
the way I RAN to this video!! I love this so much!! we have such similar gaming taste hahahaha. I also want to try octopath traveler! I really love power wash simulator and house flipper on my steam deck, too!
Very well put together video! I like your taste of games. I would recommend getting the spiderman/Spidermen insomniac games on steam deck. Both games are fun and easy to follow storyline wise
Great list! Totally agree for most (the others I just haven't played, so can't say, but they're all on my WL). I totally recommend trying out Persona games, I don't have any on PC, so can't say how they run on Deck, though... Love the story of Octopath, but for me it feels more grindy than Persona. If you want a fun easter egg filled nostalgic relatively short rpg series (perhaps 20h total for both?), I'd recommend Evoland, I had such a blast playing them, they made me laugh so much. It's mostly rpg-style, but you're actually experiencing pretty much all types of games in it, it's pretty fun. Runs great on Deck.
Octopath Traveller is fantastic, definitely recommend giving this one a try. Dave the Diver has been fun so far & not scary at all. Maybe Moonlighter? Dungeon crawl by day & manage your store by night.
Thank you for this! I think you finally convinced me to get Eastward. I loved Little Kitty Big City so much, it was so stinking cute!! Do you think you’ll try Strange Antiquities when it comes out?
