    I like the new visualizer very much. But I think it could be worth a try, to overlay it with a transparent or outlined version of the full logo, so that it does not look cut-off most of the time. Instead it would look more like a level meter with a fixed scale.

    • @DanWorrall

      Yes, I'm also thinking along these lines. Probably not too hard to achieve.

    • @reaganharder1480
      @reaganharder1480 2 года назад +5

      @@DanWorrall I'd say not too hard is an understatement. All you need is an outline of the logo in .PNG so transparency in the center is preserved, and a video editing software that allows layering multiple images on top of each other (which I'm pretty sure is almost all of them), then it's just a matter of putting the outline image on top, aligning them, and you're done.

      On top of this, it would be nice to have the background be something other than pure black. Something like some blurred-out mix of pastel colors or just whites and grays, and the logo being sharp would make for a nice backdrop.

    I remember when Kenny Gioia started showing his face on his Reaper tutorials and a part of me always wondered what kind of guy Kenny was. While listening to his accent, I imagined him being this really tough guy from the Bronx running a community audio studio for the youth usually engulfed in gang wars and drugs. Alas, reality was less entertaining even though I still believe Kenny is a superhero of sorts. (He has helped me learn Reaper to a fairly profficient level) So, I don't mind what graphic you use to help visualize your voiceover Dan, just don't show your face and let me continue imagining the Clark Kent doppleganger I imagine you are. i think it generally goes into a better direction than your oscilloscope thingie, because it carries your identity through the logo. but i'm personally not a big fan of vertically fading in the image with louder sound, as that only results in being punished for a dynamic voice over. instead you could have the full logo shown at all times but only saturate it according to volume or maybe paint a circle around it that does something cool only when volume gets louder

    Visualiser in this is less loud visually than the old one. I prefer the simplicity, there's less going on, allowing my focus to be more on your education and humour, and less on accurate waveform that I constantly analyse.

    Downloading videos from RUclips using VLC is a fairly trivial affair. I've downloaded my own video and it came back in pretty good shape. I might do some more nerdy comparisons when I find the time

    I prefer the waveform display. There's not enough to latch onto here and the visuals don't feel as connected to your voice as the waveform. Maybe if you'd increase the resolution of the audio analysis it'd work better? Though the visual design would change significantly.

    What I would like to know is how to master and format audio when uploading to RUclips.
    RUclips made a track in my my mix sound quieter.
    I believe it's cutting out a frequency but I'm not sure which one.

    Info on how to get VP9 on Safari for Mac and iPad. Safari will use the VP9 codec as long as it is Big Sur or higher or any Apple Silicon M1 mac or higher or iPadOS on a A10X chip or higher. This is because the VP9 codec was not supported for decoding on earlier A series chips and on Itel Macs with a Intel 8 gen or higher. It was because there wasn't GPU support for decoding of VP9 for unix/FreeBSD until then without paying a Fee to the developers. But any Mac or iPad made after 2018 has support for the VP9 codec. If your apple device doesn't and still serves you an AVC file just turn on the VP9. Just open the Settings on your iPad and scroll down to Safari then choose Advanced, then experimental features, then choose VP8 and VP9 decoder and then restart Safari and and youtube should serve you the VP9 codec with the best audio. For desktop you need to choose Safari Preferences, then advanced then check the box that says Show develop menu in menu bar. Under the new develop option in the menu bar, choose experimental features and then choose vp8 and vp9 codec. Hope this helps if you want VP9.

    I have liked all visuals. The sound and information that comes out of you is what matters to me. You can put pimple popping for all I care I'll still watch. ..so no 320 kbps files huh lol
