Eternights certainly is worth it's asking price of 30USD regardless of it's flaws in my opinion! Will you check it out after watching my review for Eternights?
I like the idea of this game the execution leaves quite a lot to be desired hopefully the dev decides to try again and takes a lot of the criticism to heart cause I want more persona like games
Already had it preordered and gotta say, I’m not disappointed. It’s a fun game and the writing is pretty decent. Kinda falls back on tropes, but it’s been a fun time. Just don’t go into it expecting persona level writing. It’s unique and definitely worth giving it a chance.
@@fierytigergaming8112This game is very clearly inspired by Persona, at least in part, so lets not pretend it's just because people don't know other JRPGs. They are explicitly targetting that kind of audience.
@@fierytigergaming8112Well come on, this game is definitly a Persona rip off. That doesnt mean it has to be bad, it really isnt in my opinion. Tho it really tries to be a budget P5. And the release 4 Months before P3 reload comes out is no coincidence as well 😅
@@isaac-p6126Literally how? The only thing even remotely similar to Persona is the calendar mechanic which (shocker) you wouldn't even know was inspired by Persona if the dev didn't say it because so many games have the same mechanic
That's reassuring, I felt dumb not understanding the DDR mini-game, I see I was not the only one struggling :p At last they added an explanation for the final release.
When considering the scope and price of the game there are other indie games that I want to play way more. Eternights doesn't seem like a bad game but I'd rather spend my money on Sea of Stars for example.
Since you played the game I have some questions: Is it actually a hack & slash with different combo combinations? (xx,yy, xyxxyx x pause y) When it comes replayability, can you replay acts like in DMC? Do you know where I can follow the developers on social media?
It's okay but it felt like a slog. I felt that while fighting the first boss. I got it on sale a few days ago and it's just meh to me. Mixed feelings on this one.
I can appreciate the vision and inspiration for Eternights, but it just didn't realise how those aspects work so well in Persona. I don't want to knock an indie game that's trying something new but the game to me felt cheap, unimaginative and poorly written.
Totally forgot the existence of this game until now. All I'm going to say is that the dedication is there, but unfortunately said game fails to grab my attention due to it's inherently amateurish writing and game design.
The thing about this game is it doesn't flesh out it's characters and story enough to be as interesting as it's inspiration. The Persona games dole out it's story beats through it's 100 hour playthrough but Eternights just rushes things for it's less than 10 hr playtime
This game is more of a dating sim hack and slash with some Persona inspired elements. If you go into this game expecting a Persona-like experience you’re going to be disappointed. The dialogue can be cheesy at times and sometimes the dialogue options are bad. The main character and his friend have a lot of annoying things about their personality. But the story is pretty enjoyable and the combat is fun and challenging. So despite the drawbacks of the game, it’s a fun game overall. I’d give it a 7/10
I cannot recommend this game on PS4; play it on PS5 or PC instead. My PS4 got so loud, it was as if I vacuum cleaned my apartment. Don't know why, but I expect some of the bloom effects to be the culprit. Can't turn them off in the options either.
Environment graphically looks great but i really hate the character's style its so off putting like they dont even belong in the same game. They could have gone the similar route like soul hackers 2 did

I’ve had this game on my radar for a while now! Looks very good. And I’m surprised only one dude made it now that’s impressive.

You like the idea of the Game, because they stole the idea from the best Rated JRPG of all times to be frank.

That's the main problem, people hear "JRPG" and Persona is the first thing that comes to their minds

I would like to see more developers make games inspired by persona
I went into it expecting this stuff so I enjoyed it.
Tempering your expectations is one helluva trick

That mini game sucks so hard.
When considering the scope and price of the game there are other indie games that I want to play way more.
Eternights doesn't seem like a bad game but I'd rather spend my money on Sea of Stars for example.
Totally understandable!
Been playing sea of stars as well and, well, it hasn’t really captured me yet. I think I’ll finish Eternighrs before sea of stars, but that’s just me.

I’m still excited for this game, so this is my most highly anticipated game of the year.
TY for the review! I'll probably wait for this one to go on sale.
Lets go David with the reviews!
The combat looks very fun at least, fun enough to carry it? Not sure 🤔🤔
That was a pretty positive review for such a negative thumbnail
Great review 🔥
I'm double dip regardless and buy it for both steam and physical
Def better than monark lol

Forgot about this game.
Didn’t even know this game was a thing lmao

Well it is made by someone who had never made a full game before. You can’t expect every game to be a perfect masterpiece all the tume
Totally forgot the existence of this game until now. All I'm going to say is that the dedication is there, but unfortunately said game fails to grab my attention due to it's inherently amateurish writing and game design.
You do realise that the game was made by one person alone? You can hardly expect it to be top quality
Devs seem promising.

Even on easy mode this game felt hard. Devil may cry is easy by comparison
I really enjoyed this game thought it was really good but yeah some things needed some explanation like thst little girl
Have some problem , Moreover it was a fun ride.

This games ending gave me depression 😭
Those 3D character portraits look horrible. I hope they make that shit 2D by release tomorrow lmao. Dayumn son

tbh the game feels more like FFXV...and not in a good way...
edit : FFXV wasn't even a good game let alone a good FF game so F to the comparison
The writing was on the wall, go play sea of stars
Totally different games
@@morriganrenfield8240both JRPGs, so totally is a bit far.
@@lemonlime8949no it isn’t lol. I wouldn’t be looking at a 3d action rpg the same way i would a 2d turn based title that is 16bit.
@@morriganrenfield8240 they’re still both RPGs. They are quite different but have similarities and are in the same genre.
Go play starfield
