Hey I don’t think you’ll answer but I just got a 4 channel amp installed they didn’t connect my rear deck speakers just the door and passenger seat speakers can I just cut the wires and bypass the amp to get them back? I am new to all the wire stuff
I'm pretty sure you can connect them I found out by just testing wires. How I figured it out I used a home stereo speaker wire playing music. I unplugged factory harness and carefully tested until I got sound from speakers. That's how I figured it out hopefully that helps you out.
Peace. I got a project car G20. looking to swap out the amp and speakers as well. I'm wondering about the same issue. I don't want to cut the harness, so how were you able to keep the wires connected to the harness? PS. I was looking for an adapter but no luck.
Hey I’m stuck in the same spot you was with the speaker problem I’m not getting any sound and i replaced the amp and put subs in on did one 6x9 cuz it was blown I had bought a harness for the back of deck And to be clear you left the 2 harness that was to the factory amp disconnect rite ?
I'm using my own stereo so on the harness that connects to the factory wires it has the blue wire for it. I only tapped into the stock amp harness for the door speakers.
@@dirtyr1937 it's been a while sold the G the way I found what wires go to the speakers by was testing them. I used a home stereo while playing music and plugged home stereo wires to amp harness then I was able to figure out what wires to. The bad thing I'm not sure what was positive and negative but either way it still worked. Hopefully that helps you.
my bad i wasnt specific. im trying to install aftermarket mids and tweets for with my own amp instead of the bose amp. did tapping into the speaker wire harness from the bose amp work when u taped in ur own speaker wire on the harness?
@@g-lo6502 yes I tapped into the amp harness in the trunk. I made the mistake of connecting my own wires to the front stereo at 1st that doesn't work since I'm running my own amp and double din. So basically to avoid running extra wires and headaches I just cut the wires from stock amp in the trunk and ran wires from there.
i have another question lol. when you put in your aftermarket mids did u reuse the oem spacer or can u just can tap into the harness like what you did in the trunk. the only reason why im asking this is because the speakers i bought don’t exactly for the oem spacer..
@@g-lo6502 I removed my 6x9 so my box can fit better. Then on the mid speakers I took those out and placed them on the outside by the armrest of the back seat. I still have not changed the door speakers yet. And yes to hook them up I spliced into the factory connectors. I'll try to post a new video soon and show off my system. Hopefully this answers you're questions if not I'll try to explain it better next time.
What year is your infinity and did you find out which one is negative and positive I was going to try to run my speaker wire through the grommet into the door but that is going to be a big pain

After connecting the harness wires to the amp did you run RCA's from your amp to the head unit or utilize a line out converter?

Yes that is correct, I cut the speaker wires off the factory Amp harness then I ran wires from my amps to those wires in the trunk.

howd you find out wich speaker wires go to the speakers?
I tested with a house stereo. I ran the wire from that to the harness in the trunk till I got sound from each speaker.

I don't have the G anymore. For the rears I wired them up straight to my amp.

I have no amp in the trunk where do you think it is ?
Its next to the spare tire on driver side.
Maybe up in the trunk next to mid subwoofer on left up it’s a gray cover under it
Did you leave it disconnected?
Yes. What I ended up doing was cutting the wires I needed. Then spliced wires and ran those to my after market amp I installed.

What do you mean are you asking if my stock system amp worked? Yes it did if youres ain't working check you're fuses .

Ok I missed it yours is a 04 and mine is a 05 thatnks to the video

DId the fronts AND the rear arm rest speakers not work? or just the very fronts.
I only hooked up the fronts. But you can hook up all speakers. You will just have to figure out the wires that run to rest to the speakers.
