  • The traditional three long blasts on the PS Waverley's steam whistle to mark the final call of 2011 season at Largs. This is traditionally done when calling at a pier for the last time during the season.

      On this occasion it was to say farewell to Largs pier for the end of the season.
      Three short blasts indicate she is operating astern propulsion.

      Yes. I can confirm. It’s loud. When I went on the Waverley I sat directly under the funnel. When the departure whistle went It scared the undying shit out of me cause it was so loud.
