One of the few old school thrash bands that don't sound outdated as fuck
they gotta play metal in old folks' homes sometimes, new metallica is perfect for that
+Giruga x Hakusho absolutely right man
New Anthrax is mad, they're still going strong.
I think Anthrax is still holding up well. They're not really heavy in their new stuff, but apart from a few parts in Among the Living they've never really been extremely hard
I'm that guy who thinks Anthrax is the "little brother" of the Big Four for a reason: They aren't that special.
My thoughts? How the fuck does Chuck Billy get older and sound better each album? The man is not human...
Couldn't agree more. Chuck is a beast. If someone thinks other wise there a goon BrotherNero.
One of the most underrated vocalists in metal.
I agree. It pisses me off that Testament doesn't get the credit they rightfully deserve. The big four has been thought of as Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. It aggravates me because what about Exodus, Overkill, and Testament. Mind you, I like the Big Four but there are so many thrash bands that came out at the same time as the big four, but what about them. This song proves to me that Testament hasn't lost their metal punch. This song pisses and spits on anything of heard this year so far. Absolute beast, and cannot wait for this release. This made my day.
+Mark MacDonnell dude the big four is about the four biggest, best selling thrash metal bands. NOT about who's better. I agree that Exodus, Testament and Overkill should get way more recognition because they deserve it but they just did not sell as much records as the big four.
I love your content JD. horns up!
This is some of the best thrash possible. Exodus and Testament prove that the Bay Area scene will never die
What about the lyrics 🤔, do they not concern you??,,,,
@@dejuanballard3367 It's just some fun lyrics about an old conspiracy theory lol. Nothing to be concerned about. "We got fascinated by a show called Ancient Aliens, which is all about these theories to do with aliens and religion, and I found this book called Brotherhood Of The Snake. It's about this secret society from thousands of years ago that were formed to debunk religion, it's saying there is an alien race that is using humans as slaves and mine us for minerals." - TESTAMENT
how is this thrash?
@@MetalGodMasino Do you have functioning ears?
@@mirroregg yes i have perfectly functioning ears, this is not thresh but something like death metal. thresh was Testament before The Ritual.
The chorus is deadly! SERPENTS' EYES ALWAYS WATCHIN YOU
Testament and Overkill are probably the most consistent old school thrashers right now. They never dissapoint.
Kreator? Of course Phantom had some boring songs. But United in Hate, the title track, Death to the World and Civilization Collapse were top class!
And Death Angels last 3 albums (especially the newest) kicks major ass as well.
Exodus?
Overkill? Wtf dude!
+MetalForTheMasses by old school thrash i mostly mean bay area thrash. Death Angel , Exodus etc are really good choices as well (tho i did not enjoy killing season that much). I love every single album Kreator has offered the last 15 years.
+MetalForTheMasses Evil Divide is a solid 8\10 for me
Who's the reptilian that gave this a thumbs down?
Hillary Clinton
+Kyle Christopher lol!
+Kyle Christopher lmao
jajajajaja
THE BILDERBERG GROUP. lol.
What's even more mind blowing than the actual song is that this songs lyrics are 100% true. Very ballsy Testament. Good work. Knowledge is power.
in the song they say we are reptilian
@@utkuparlak7720 We are all part reptilian,as much of life is.It's whether or not we bow to the flesh or to the Spirit.
@@brotherlittlefoot2216 there are many other species but you choose to talk like reptilian
Your idea of evidence is that someone wrote something down in a book
@@acidiccow.63 Your idea of evidence is based on many humans who have written books
Even before HALF the song is over, it's killed everyone with amazing solos and top vocal performance. It feels like a punch in the gut.
When bands have Gene Hoglan and Steve DiGiorgio, you know it will kickass.
hahahaha thats true
I'm always so surprised when I hear Steve's bass, last I checked, DiGiorgio doesn't do delivery.
hell yeah.. you know
Absolutely.
agreed!
This is a trip. First Megadeth come out with the best music of their career, now Metallica comes roaring back with Hardwired, now Testament at top quality?
This old guy feels like he's back in the 80's!
This has been extremely good year for thrash. Anthrax, Death Angel, Flotsam&Jetsam, Metal Church, Artillery, Sodom, Paradox and Vektor (well, they're not from 80s, but w/e) also released great albums this year. With new Testament, Metallica and Overkill coming out this fall and Kreator early next year, we might be witnessing the peak of thrash revival right now.
Eh, Metallicas Hardwired was meh. But as far as Megadeth, Death Angel, Vektor. Epic
illuminati tried to kill the metal but they failed
***** yes, it's called Pangea and it's awesome!
open.spotify.com/album/51oNNWLSpx7xh3eiyP0W3w
And lets not forget Dream theater, Gojira, Opeth, Mastodon and Tool new albums...
This song and album are fucking awesome. In my opinion, 2016 was honestly one of the best years for metal of al time. It had:
Testament - Brotherhood of the Snake
Megadeth - Dystopia
Anthrax - For All Kings
Fleshgod Apocalypse - King
Vektor - Terminal Redux
Avatar - Feathers and Flesh
Metallica - Hardwired...to Self-Destruct
Death Angel - The Evil Divide
Meshuggah - The Violent Sleep of Reason
Sodom - Decision Day
Obscura - Akroasis
Artillery - Penalty by Perception
Diamond Head - Diamond Head
Flotsam and Jetsam - Flotsam and Jetsam
Dark Funeral - Where Shadows Forever Reign
Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage (shut up, it was actually fucking great)
Gojira - Magma
Hellyeah - Unden!able
Fates Warning - Theories of Flight
Devin Townsend Project - Transcendence
Insomnium - Winter's Gate
Grim Reaper - Walking in the Shadows
Darkthrone - Arctic Thunder
Red Fang - Only Ghosts
KoRn - The Serenity of Suffering
Crowbar - The Serpent Only Lies
Animals as Leaders - The Madness of Many
Dark Tranquility - Atoma
Superjoint - Caught Up in the Gears of Application
Lambof God - The Duke (only a EP but still)
Wow. Fuck you're right!
1986.
No doubt about it.
Holy fuck you're right
@@lilmike2710 that is the best year in my opinion as well. What’s cool is that 2016 was the 30 year anniversary of so many great albums. Having this many awesome bands release so many good albums 30 years on seems like a killer way to celebrate.
Thanks for this list
I can't get why people are still talking about Metallica on this video. This is all about Testament's new song, giiiizzz
I sense a south Park reference. Haha
Right!
@@ACommonlyWealthyDeer someone is butthurt.
People wish Metallica sounded this good and it frustrates them they aren’t
Totally agree & I love Metallica
Heaviness mixed with massive groove. Yup this is Testament. The best thrash metal band on here planet Earth.
I always enjoyed the way Testament make his songs because it's not all about the sound, the lyrics are completely insane.
Exactly!
And completely true!
Are you cicciogamer89?
it amazes me I'm 41 years old I've been listening to this group for over 20 years and they still sound like what they did when I first started listening to them we are the true pioneers of thrash metal fucking amazing
Testament's " Brotherhood of the 🐍" Is My Favorite of 2016 And Beyond.
When you have DiGiorgio and Hoglan as your rhythm section you have one hell of a great song, and hopefully album
It’s not delivery, it’s DiGiorgo
Awesome! Thank you Nuclear Blast Records for keeping these bands alive.
Unlike other metal bands that have been around for a while , Testament seems to get better and more refined with age.
What I love about Testament is that over the years they've gotten more and more heavy. Like if you go from something like Souls of Black to this it's such a big difference. But all of it is fucking stellar!
Testament's has an incredible lineup right now. The rhythm section to my favorite Death album Individual Thought Patterns (Gene Hoglan & Steve DiGiorgio), Eric Peterson's monster riffs, Alex Skolnick's virtuoso guitar solos, and Chuck Billy's immense vocal presence.
Yes it was worth the 4 year wait.
no it wasnt
Lol hell yeah it was worth the wait
Fuck Yea it is!
They could have easily done this in two years. Greatness falls from their fingers.
hell yeah
No matter how shitty this year has been for other things, it has been great for music. New Megadeth, Anthrax, Raubtier, Sabaton, Testament, and Metallica... can't beat that.
Also Opeth, Dream theater, Gojira, Amon Amarth (Mastodon and Tool possible)
yeah man, also, Black Crown Initiate, Revocation, Killswitch Engage, Metal Church, Witherscape, Jeff Beck, Zakk Wylde, Katatonia, Architects, Candlemass, Periphery, Michael Sweet, Yngwie, too many others, what an unbelievable year + GnR w/Slash + Duff!
Gimme the moooooore :D \m/
Milsurp Mike New Meshuggah as well man
2016 was genuinely one of the best years for metal fucking ever.
Testament are still the true kings of thrash.
Overkill >
Demolition Hammer >
Queen >
Check Stone Cold Crazy by queen xD
Sodom, Kreator, Anihillator
FUCKING SLAYER!!
TESTAMENT is fucking back!
and they went where? Their last two albums were great.
+Steven Lornie last album came out over 4 years ago so they are back.
dustyjoe71 aye and they have been constantly touring since, THEY NEVER WANT AWAY!
They never went anywhere...
They never went anywhere...
Another good year for Metal.
This is so damn good. Testament is the best band ever in Thrash history.
had the honor of seeing them live last week ...what legends
Man this year is insane for thrash. Been listening to the new Death Angel record for months now, also love the new Vektor record, Anthrax & Megadeth released solid records and Testament & Overkill seem to deliver solid stuff as well.
Yes man and this is just beginning
Kreator's new album comes out next year , so next year will be great too.
The Ostracized Gamer How did I forgot my 2nd favorite band?! Thought it was still this year, anyways I am sure they're gonna deliver an amazing album.
Sodom and Destruction were solid as well this year
totally agree...new vektor album is unreal
Why are people comparing with Metallica? Both bands have finally released new, killer songs...and all the comment section has to say is who's better? Just be grateful that we're actually getting something and enjoy both songs for what they are? Thrash is alive and kicking; I can't be more pleased!
Most people are miserable idiots always looking for something to hate on.
we should thank to all these guys still thrashing around, slayer with repentless, megadeth with dystopia, and next is metallica n testament with their new album..
and Suicidal Tendencies comes out tomorrow and from what I've heard so far it is so like 1985 thrash vintage suicidal I'm so excited I'm buying it tomorrow
ST rules!
the aruging should have stopped in the 80s we may wish it was still the 80s but its not
Testament is the most fitting name for this amazing band, who've been relentless since their inception!
My favourite Testament track, EVER.
Killer song. Cant wait to buy this album.
Testament is like the wine, they get better with age lml
If u can't hide from them, then make them fear you by flooding this world with Universal Love.Thank u,Testament.
this is the pinnacle of metal.
My beard just grew like 6 inches longer in 5 minutes, wicked!
Yeah !! This year is Fucking good for Thrash Metal !! Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Death Angel, Testament, Sodom, Destruction and maybe Overkill release their albums !!!!!! ;)
I heard Overkill's was coming in November. It's called 'Grinding Wheel'.
Ado 127 Kreator are missing 16 with an album out in 17.
And Slayer released an album last year!
Had the privilege of seeing them live in Atlanta in the 90's. Awesome band and very personable. The came out and talked to fans and signed stuff. They''re still going strong!
Testament and Kreator can still put out fantastic songs.
Brotherhood of the Snake best Thrash Metal album of 2016 \m/
Cheers to those who have their third eye open and REALLY understands these lyrics.
There are a lot of Ju ISH symbols In this video
Explain me please
Third eye is actually the mark of the beast.
Mark of the beast is Purley an Abrahamic religious symbol.. in which these lyrics seem to present in antithesis of....
Real group who understands older knowledge
I genuinely love this song. Heavy as Hell, with the right amount of hook and musicianship.
Always doing a fucking great work.
Gene Hoglan is a monster!!!!
them triplets on the kick during the blastbeat ... only Gene ...
Man, it's the second song of Testament I've listened to (the first was The Pale King) and it's just mindblowing!!!
Testament is the most in shape Thrash Metal band right now
Practice what you preach was maybe my fourth or fifth metal cassete tape back in 89... I testament has really managed to stay true to their music. This is heavy as fuck
Legends of Testament return and another impressive song
Testament never disappoints....
one time in english class we were allowed to submit songs to play over the speekers. i chose this song, into the pit and a cannibal corpse song. the look on everyones face was pricelss. love troling my class
Testament sounding as good as ever!
Good to see and hear a band stepping up and write up lyrics that tells the truth about our reality. Not to mention the music itself kicks some serious ass. Food for thought and Thrash for headbanging that thought.
Truthfull lyrics....global awakening !
You should also checkout the song follow the signs by born of osiris
For as many years as Testament has been around, somehow they retain so much raw power and freshness in their sound. This is awesome!
I listened to them for the first time at last night's show, they have a new fan now.
Moreover, it was a pleasure to se Steve DiGiorgio live.
Testament all day every day...\m/
AWESOOOOMEE !!
Chuck Billy is like a good wine, he just get better with the years, this man is for sure one of the best Thrash vocalists !
The good times of Thrash is fuking backing guys...Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, and now Metallica and Testament. Just missing Overkill and Kreator ! It's like getting back at the 80's
Overkill's new album's gonna be out later this year, and Kreator's is either late 16 or early 17, don't worry :)
Besides, the good times have been here for a while.
Dark Roots of Earth, Formation of Damnation, Dream Calls for Blood, The Evil Divide, White Devil Armory, Electric Age, Ironbound, Enemy of God, Tempo of the Damned, Endgame, Omega Wave.. we've got a lot of great releases from both young and old thrash bands the past 10+ years \m/
MetalForTheMasses Yeah man, I agree, all great albums
i saw this amazing band moonday evening in Milano, great show!
This is the best I've heard Chuck Billy in a while. And the lyrics, tune, everything sounds awesome awesome awesome!! Can't wait for the CD.
I love this album and I cant wait for their new album "Titans of Creation". Such a brilliant song Brotherhood of the snake is. Testament just keep getting better and better...Sounds so awesome through good headphones...I would love to see Testament live some day. Please come to Australia on your next tour:)
Cant wait for the new album
The lyrics on this thing are insane. That's why I love these guys
For me this might be the best song they done since -90. It's sounds so fresh.
dope
3:24- Eric Peterson summons the Dragonlord.
Chuck,-respect!!! I listen Testament from 1989. Hello from Latvia!👊✌✊
I saw them with lamb of God in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and I did not know of testament prior. I couldn't believe how good their performance was when the played native blood . I am just blessed to have seen Alex Soliec lead guitar solos before thrash musicians are no longer able to play. It was a great show I'll never forget
thrash musicians like them , the original creators of the genre
Testament est un super groupe de métal, qui a une super énergie de chansons mélodieuses !!!
I can hear this song over and over again, it just get better the more I hear. \m/ Testament \m/ pure awesomeness and fucking good thrash as always.
A true Testament song. It sounds fantastic. I'll buy the album.
Testament, rocking your life since 1983.
Always loved testament. They never disappoint like some others we know.

To Self-Destruct!! 2016 was an amazing year for Thrash Metal! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

that's exactly why Metallica needs to send Kirk and Lars on permanent vacation.
always delivers . Peterson too
+Rican GuitarGod metallicrap
+dario HC honestly
.I still love James....he still has it.
Testament has gotten better with age. Metallica at this point and quite honestly for some time now could not make a song with this kind of power. Great job guys can't wait to see you on tour.
I love Testament one of the true thrash metal bands still!!!
Along with Exodus and Overkill
Testamenters..Thanks so much for your concert last night at La Riviera(Madrid,Spain)!!! Was a Blast!!! Cheers and Life On !!!
I fell like all the testament members would crush modern English classes
Better than Metallica's new song, and I love Metallica's new song. TESTAMENT RULES!!! \m/ \m/
Honestly, i prefer Hardwired...
hell yes testament still killing it after all these years metallisuck better bring it on there new cd cause i know this testament is a beast
And I prefer rubbing my dick on a cactus as opposed to a Vagina..pfft come on. ha

Metallica is over.

You should listen to their older stuff, it's out of this world
Thanks I'll try it
It's old school thrash metal of high quality with some touch of death metal.. pure power
Testament, Overkill, Vader, & Death Angel - The new big four.
just listened to Vader after your comment and bloody hell....how did I never get onto them before....just ordered a few now from amazon....Cheers me ol son!
Enjoy brother :)
Brunster Hell yeah dude vader fucking kills it!!!
Vektor, Revocation, Havok, Hexen would be the new big 4 imo although Hexen isn't around anymore

This is my favorite testament song. same as more than meets the eye.
