Carbon Buildup on a High Mileage S4?

My 2014 S4 with 135k miles.
As you can see there is a good amount of buildup. Always a good idea to carbon clean while replacing pcv valve!

It's nice to see visual examples of the carbon build. Do you have any ideas for what you
e going to do to clean it?

I went the diy route which meant using carb cleaner, dremel bits, brushes and just using small picks to get it out. Had to do some vacuuming and blowing to get everything out. Also used popular trick where you take a bunch of zip ties cut the heads off and put a zip tie around to feed it into a drill. It just took time and patience. I may try diy walnut blasting next time as it’s easier method.
