if you want to support the channel for more frequent and better filmed content heres a link buymeacoffee.c... every bit helps me break the n52 power barriers 😜👍

Please don't worry about the hate comments. There are a lot of people who are dependent on you for their own N52 to shine in the future. There are only a handful of people who are working on these N52s and you are one of them engineers what u are doing will make our way to 500 wheel inshallah in the future. Love what you are doing and your work ❤️
@@ayaansayeed425 hey thanks man I appreciate hearing that it’s hard pressing forward especially supporting a wife and 3 kids means I gotta use alot of scrap yard parts and fabricating but it shows my kids hard work and determination pay off not 😎 many ppl are about the n52 but I’m way to deep in the rabbit hole to get out now 😆. I’ve got lots more to come I’m glad these videos are helping the n52 community 👍 my goal is to break the 600whp mark reliably to thrash this car at some drift events.
@@rumrunnersracing can't wait man can't wait
@@ayaansayeed425 my new scrap yard motor gets picked up Monday so I’ll have more videos coming out in the coming few weeks 👍
Facts
Will be tuning in was just working on my n52 today. i love this car.
@@memberzero3325 I hear ya something about the e90 body style is aggressive and classy 🙌 they just need to turbocharged 😆
Love the content. I have a 06 330i and want to turbocharge it as well. Keep up the videos man. I would rather watch info from a guy like you in a normal shop making things happen on a real budget. I like the fact you're sticking with the n52. Ive read up on them having noticeable limitations but rarely see anything where someone is eyeing ways to eliminate them. Usually seen as lesser than compaired to the other bmw na 6s since the n54 is available. I even considered doing a n54 bottom end on the 52 head if i ran into issues. Glad to see someone pushing the envelope and keep the 52 and make it more reliable with boost.
Thanks I appreciate the support it’s been a long road of learning so far but I’m glad these are helping out the n52 community I’ve got a ton more videos to make on different subjects for more boost like the need for gapping piston rings, the benefits of meth injection I’ve also got an oil cooler going in as well. I was thinking of getting the n54 crank and rods and keep the n52 bottom end keep it more pure n52 I try to avoid using anything n54 because if I use the n54 block with pistons and rods I mise well put the n54 head on so I’m looking for ways around that 🤔
cant wait to see this beast in the spring
Oooooohhhhhhhhh I can’t wait to see the next video of you putting everything together that is brand new This is gonna be the amazing content and understanding so I can’t wait to hear from you
Thanks for the support man it really helps me crank out more content when I know it’s helping ppl make power 😎

Is the pistons cast or forged? Looks little cast for me in the video. I am excited to know how this works out when you are up and running the engine for some boost. Thank you for doing n52 content ❤🎉
I second this question
Hey thanks for the support not alotta n52 content on there and I find the stuff that is there dosent explain much so I’m glad I can help the n52 community add power 😎 and as for your question the pistons are cast not forged but the stock rods are forged aluminum not cast so I’ll run the stock rods to see how they hold up 🤷♂️ from factory the n52 comes with cast pistons and forged rods so these are the same material as stock pistons just piston rings are placed differently on the new piston that’s how they lower the compression.
Pistons are cast aluminum like factory but stick rods on n52 are forged aluminum from factory so I’m going to test the limits on those with the new rod bearings in the kit
some n52s use more massive connecting rods than these. probably better to put those. you can recognize them by the expanding rod at the bottom
What n52 uses bigger rods? I was looking into n54 rods but no one seems to know if they fit the n52 crank 🤷♂️ a lot of this is uncharted territory
Would love a link to the kit, looking into boosting my n52 and eventually building the motor to handle more boost.
The link is posted in the description just click on the title of the video when watching it should bring it up on the app
Did you gap your last set of rings when you were running at 14psi?
@@LapDeleted nope that’s with a fully stock un opened engine this time around I added lower compression pistons and opened the gap from .013 to .023 for this 18-20psi setup. These cars should be able to run 7-10psi no issues with proper fueling a good tune and decent intake air temps .
How much horsepower are you shooting for?
I wanna try to shoot for a semi reliable 600whp the cars made that power before on the dyno but we had to stunt the tune a bit due to intake air temps it would be heat soaked by the second run and start to pull timing so this time around I’ve made ALOT of changes to squeeze out some extra power
Since I have n51 and those come with lower compression how much boost do you think I can run
@@SLVR2-z8y with proper fueling and supporting mods I would say 12psi wouldn’t hurt it if you wanna play safe without gapping piston rings if you gap rings and your looking to thrash it and want all the ponies 14psi with meth injection I would call a safe bet with a reliable tune you could push more but your head studs will be the next issue going past 15psi
I’m thinking about boosting my n52 how much boost is like safe for it
with proper fueling and a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and a tune it will run 7psi all day on the stock motor without opening the motor to gap piston rings, You could thrash on it all day and you would be fine at 7psi when you get 10-12psi your in the yellow area where u want to open the motor and gap the piston rings for the added boost and you want great cooling for intake air temps and dissa flap will snap off at this pressure inside the intake manifold so it needs to be deleted if you wanna run 10-12psi
I see you mentioned the DISA valve, have you tried a different intake manifold like this one?
@@owenhvc6474 nope I have to work with what I got mostly no money for new manifolds most parts I get from the local scrap yards to keep these builds alive my kids come first car hobby gets whatever change trickles down to me 😆 this manifold will work fine I try to stay pure to n52 parts because Theyr so plentiful in my local scrap yards now days you never see any 335i’s around the scrap yards 🤷♂️
How does this kit feel? Is everything branded BMW or OE as described by the seller or are they fakes?
In their pictures the pistons seem like there are made by Mahle
It feels pretty good the pistons themselves are marked mahle me and my buddy looked them over they seem legit 🧐
@@rumrunnersracing are the gaskets Elring or Viktor Reinz as mentioned in the website or not? Sorry for the many questions, can’t decide if it’s worth it getting this kit or buying them genuine
@@n00b1n4t0r no worries man I’m just at work I didn’t really look over the gaskets but I’ll get some eyes on them after work today and let you know I was mainly eyeballing the pistons when I opened the kit
@@rumrunnersracing cheers mate, appreciate it
@@n00b1n4t0r the kit all looks legit my only issue is how the rod bearings were packaged they were not individually boxed like it shows in the pic but they look oem I think I’ll send it with them my new motor gets picked up Monday so I’ll have this together and in the car a week or 2 from then. My block has a bad cylinder wall it got scorned by the piston ring land letting go so I had to get a replacement
