“If I’m truly honest, I miss that summer because it was the only time I was truly happy”, people would hope her and Kaiden get together if him and the DB don’t but honestly I don’t think they Should for this reason. They loved each other, but they were also kids and I believe they partially clung to the memories of each other out of a lack of true companionship and happiness elsewhere.
This 1000000%. Kaidan is a completely different person than he was as a boy. His crude mannerisms and love of ale and roughing around I don’t would go on well with Addy

@@mxxx0081 so true. He wouldn’t be chill at all. The exact opposite. Imagine how much *more* he’d like and appreciate you when he saw you showing kindness and compassion to someone who was a part of your life, even if they are no longer a romantic interest for you.
I love Kaidan’s pimp coat
It's stuff like this that really makes the Kaidan mod great. These little immersive moments between Kaidan and the people of skyrim. As a huge fan of lore, I really love it when we run into people Kaidan knows or has told us stories about. It adds humanity to the normal npcs of skyrim. I'm also curious how the lines change if you're already married to him lol, like would she even say anything at that point? Or would she ignore the ring and just continue on with dialogue? Anyways, all this to say the Kaidan mod is one of THE BEST mods I've ever installed on skyrim, and his va is awesome 👌👌👌
@@sweetrollqueen5136 firstly, thank you. Secondly, to answer your question, if you don’t meet her *before* asking Kaidan if he’s ever been in love (ie. before the romance progresses too far) then she ceases to exist for continuity reasons.

I was on sympathetic to her up until she said she was going to continue to wait and hope he changes his mind, after he said he’s into the DB. Girl, you had better move on because if I catch you making eyes at my husband you’re getting a one way Fus Ro Dah off the city wall! 😤
I hope she and Kaiden end up together if the dragonborn does not persue a relationship with Kaiden but also gives Kaiden a clear answer that he and Addy can be together or the dragonborn is already in one and then Kaiden and Addy just go right to having a relationship and when the dragonborn does have one with Kaiden that Addy finds someone else that treats her well and in any case stays as a part of Kaiden and the dragonborn's story even if only in small parts

@@mikulina7985 the second thing. This storyline needed to be very easily avoidable as it’s not gonna be for everyone. So there’s a fairly small window when you can actually meet Adalyn. She arrives in solitude after you’ve finished the friendship quest and kaidan tells you he wants to travel together as friends rather than out of obligation. But if you progress the romance too far after that and haven’t yet met her, then she just disappears and you can move on with zero knowledge of past loves.
Knowing me I would've made a quick save and killed her just because 😭 However, I really love that you added this, it makes Kai's life before he met the DB more realistic and it's interesting to see him interact with someone from his past and be conflicted on how he feels as the DB as the spectator, idk if that makes much sense 😭 but I Appreciate all the thought and effort you put into this mod overall. ❤️
Your mod would make a awesome tv series. Awesome work. I wish I knew how to create a mod, I always thought Bleak Falls Barrow was bit boring, I had a idea for a mod, but idk how to create a mod lol. I will leave it at that. But any way you do awesome work. Can I ask, what is your player wearing?
So I think I figured out his age. He hadn't seen Erik in 10 years (Or Addie but I think I'm right) and at 0:23 he says he was 15 . That would make him 25 right? If so OMG I figured it out! 🤭😄

@@hanshotfirst5576 It'd be interesting if she did show up and there was different dialogue and different situations there. I was curious if starting quests with the 'kaidan jealous' box ticked where npcs flirt with you would have different dialogue but so far I haven't found anyone responding to either of them. I have both ticked. Which is a shame because it'd be fun to see more content after you both get hitched that way. Because how would anyone know you're married anyway? They didn't know either of you weren't taken before and it didn't stop them from shooting their shots. Imagine him going "Oi, that's my WIFE you're talking about!".
Kiadan can go to Addy my DB is straight anyways but I better be the best man at their wedding tho
Well done. Puts a real world problem in this playthrough. Makes Kaidan and this world more than just what the DB is and their effect on it. Other NPCs have lives. But this girl learned nothing in the past ten years. Run Kaidan. Fast. She’s just a less evil version of Rosalind. She uses Kaidans emotions and better qualities to suit her own agenda. Complex. Again well done.

If I wanted to go to Solitude before asking Kaidan about being in love but not want this, can I just turn off the angst switch for that visit and not trigger it? I go to Solitude early for Legacy of the Dragonborn getting that first quest for it. And I mean early. Kaidan and my DB are still becoming friends, I just become a full Companion but before finishing the questline, not even starting the main quest yet. It would feel a little unimmersive to run into her at that stage. So, can the angst switch being turned off be used to delay it for better timing?
yes. the angst switch can be turned on and off at any time.
@@hanshotfirst5576 Thank you for the reply! Good to know the angst swutch can be used to delay it. I really love getting that first Legacy of the Dragonborn quest going that early because of having to get those 3 artifacts. You can pick them up as you go along with other quests doing a 2 for 1 deal. also getting Shadowgreen Cavern because I headcanon that as the cementing of their friendship and that's when Kaidan really starts the feelings for my DB so the running into the noble girl fits better happening after that first visit for my headcanon.
The mod has to compress dialogue for many reasons but Abby comes off as incredibly manipulative. After 10 yrs the very FIRST thing she did was unload all her problems on him. Kaidan jumped at it like a puppy, and when she saw he was reliable, tried to trap him with old feelings bc shes scared to be alone.

OG kaidan is tall af, i dont think i changed his height. he's 1.08. thats about a foot taller than your avergae skyrim npc.
so I guessed it right then I love it than :) I'm doing skyrim playthoruh on my channel and I have kai with me but I'm not sure which boy to end up with yet on mine for now I have rumarin playing house ofc. till the day I decide actually.
