Ice Pikmin actually die faster than every pikmin when it comes to dangerous elements in general also in your previous video you said rock pikmin can only be crushed by elemental enemies but they can be crushed while standing on a hard surface.
Heres a myth, is it possible to permenently freeze the Smoky Progg? In the final cave, it's in a sublevel with mud, can you lure it into the mud, freeze the mud, and defeat the Progg with no risk?

I bet! I dunno about the prog, cause I just instakilled it by doing the thing, but I managed to do it to the daddy longlegs on the same floor with those candypop buds it gives you! I bet you could even freeze that man-at-legs!
adding to that, is kinda sad that you can only recreate the fight agains smoky progg with glowmin, and not with regular pikmin

I have a nasty feeling Snitchbugs weilding bombrocks will be used as Dirigibugs in the DLC the same way Dweevils carrying rocks were used to simulate Volatile Dweevils in the Engulfed Castle
The fact that you can pluck pikmin by using Oachie's rush underneath them is such a cool detail.
The Oatchi imitating Moss thing works with all enemies
The Moss Eyes one, Oatchi has that look on his face anything he deems an enemy wanders to close to him- It's Not specific to Moss. I saw that same thing on twitter and it's bothered me since-

Myth related to the spicy spray: White, Ice, and Winged Pikmin have their damage also set to 1.0 when affected by a spicy spray.
Can confirm this is true. I recorded it but didn’t include bc that section was too long as is

Fact: this series is severely underrated
Hi
When the Arctic Cannon Beetle sucks in your Pikmin, it will eat half of them, and spit the rest out in a snowball. This means it can kill anywhere from 1 Pikmin, to 50! If its an odd number, it will round up
The Snitchbug carrying bomb rocks was already a thing in Pikmin 3. Scared the shit out of me more than once.

They can also carry Pikmin carrying bombs in Pikmin 1, and as soon as they throw them to the ground, the bomb explodes, killing the Pikmin and everything nearby.
Myth: castaways will have unique dialog if you copy their look via puddle

Myth 3 is just how oatchi looks at any enemy

Myth: ice Pikmin take longer to freeze enemies on fire
Myth: Oatchi Has A Inside In His Mouth
Here is a myth you can test for the next installment; Red and purple pikmin harvest berries faster than white and pink because of their increased attack.
Note, this includes getting the berry back to the ship, so if the ship is across the map the increased movement speed/shortcuts of white and winged will likely make winged or white the faster option again despite the longer plucking time.
This is a great one. But it will obviously depend on the distance to the ship
@@gunnadahun Indeed. As we saw in this installment, long-distance carry might be faster, but then pink and white take FOREVER to get the berries down.
From my experience, rocks are faster since they one shot the berries

Yet another myth: Glow Pikmin can be affected by Groovy Long Legs dancing debuff.
7:22 rock pikmin's regular attack power for when they are charged, attack on their own, and in some cases thrown is 40. Rock pikmin's regular attack power will be reduced to 10 when under the effect of ultra-spicy spray. Rock pikmin's impact damage when thrown can vary depending on which enemy it hits. In the cases where the rock pikmin's impact damage when thrown is 40 (the same as its regular attack power), the damage will be reduced to 10 when under the effect of ultra-spicy spray. In the cases where the impact damage is not 40, it will be unaffected by the ultra-spicy spray.
Also, the slam damage of purple pikmin is 100.
Also nice! But some more notes:
* Oatchi will get squinty-eyes by being near any enemy, not just Moss.
* Like in the previous video, for the number of hits a Purple Pikmin needs, how did you take into account the "pound"?

As well as Pikmin following your whistle when you're on Oatchi, I've experienced them moving significantly faster towards shore if you whistle, regardless of being on Oatchi or not. They may not follow my whistle, but they do hear it and move faster.
Here is a myth, rocks can be crushed if done on hard surfaces like bathroom floors or the table in Hero’s hide away, but they still can’t be punctured
Myth: Spicy Sprayed Rock Pikmin deal less damage than Normal Rock Pikmin do against the Ancient Sirehound, when launching off of Oatchi when using Rush.
To explain the spicy spray thing;
It actually works very similarly in Pikmin 2! Most pikmin have a base damage of 10, except reds and purples, who have 15 (purples are 20 in P2), and whites/pinks/ices who have 5
When spicy spray is activated, damage calculation is changed. In the context of Pikmin 4, all pikmin types have their damage set to a base of 10 (meaning red/purples are nerfed and whites/pinks/ices are buffed), and animation speed is increased by 20%, meaning for instance, a yellow will still be doing 10 damage per hit, but it'll attack much faster. This animation speed increase applies to everything, which is why pikmin will, for instance, drown faster with spicy spray

Oatchi actually squints his eyes around all enemies, not just Moss.
Myth: Frozen pikmin actually can die it just takes ten hours. Now test it.

Another creature that can eat more than the sovereign bulblax is the toady bloister, and it doesn’t require anything specific like the Gildemander
If there is a hidden burrowed enemy, you can send Oatchi forward to check where the hidden enemy is. (This might work with revealing the swamp worms.)
He will detect them and then bark at them to make them reveal themselves.
I’m pretty sure Oachi dose that to all enemies on myth 3

Fact: Breadbugs can kill pikmin in Pikmin 2, but in Pikmin 4, they're completely harmless
Wrong they run at you if you hurt it
@@mysterylolypop9430no. They're right. If you don't have enough Pikmin to drag the breadbug back it can carry the Pikmin into its hole and essentially eat them along with what they dragged into their hole.
@mysterylolypop9430 I've already tested this, the breadbugs scatter your pikmin when they run at them, causing some of the pikmin to lose their buds or flowers. That's the most a breadbug can do, it's the most harmless enemy
@Dio19838 I think they're talking about Pikmin 4. :) In 4, if you successfully take back a corpse/treasure, the breadbug will become angry and run towards the Pikmin.
In Pikmin 2, the pikmin will die if the breadbug drags them into its hole, but there's no indication that it eats the pikmin. Maybe the hole is lethal to Pikmin? :0
I wonder, since spicy spray makes purples and red do less damage on each individual hit, the average amount of damage, does it boost the power of whites, winged, and ice to normal damage per hit?

A neat glitch I discovered that has to do with oatchis plucking is if you charge into a candypop bud after it shoots out the seeds they will pluck mid air
1 2 Oatmeal coming on in the middle of this video randomly was such a treat, these Pikmin 4 mythbusting videos are great but 1 2 Oatmeal's the cherry on top.
Myth: every enemy has their own theme when you're near them
That’s not a myth it’s almost straight facts

Myth: you can kill the empress bulblax in her third version before she can attack.

Electricity can kill Pikmins again, and enemies don't respawn in the overworld. Like, they are dead forever.
Rock pikmin are severely nerfed by spicy spray, not their impact damage (thrown by captain) but their self attack damage seems to be about 4-5 times weaker, this can be easily seen when Oatchi-rushing an enemy, for bulborbs 50 rocks is an instakill, 50 spicy rocks only does about 2/3 or 3/4 health.
these videos are so interesting! i never would’ve asked half of these questions but here you are teaching us cool pikmin stuff and making fun hacks. keep it up!
heres a myth you could try. if you throw one winged pikmin on a jumbo bulborb the one pikmin will win the fight (do not call it back let it just fight on its own)
The Purple Pikmin left me flabbergasted
The crossing water thing makes complete sense. It’s a trick speed runners use to grab items and reach areas before obtaining Blue Pikmin, so they obviously don’t want you doing that.
Except when you have Oatchi you can cross water with whatever Pikmin you want so cares lol
ofc they follow you if you are riding oatchi, as you become a piece of shore they can go near
now try this myth and you can make it an entire video
Pikmin songs are area dependant.
for example, in Blossoming Arcadia, there will be some areas that will cause the pikmin to sing the garden of hope theme from pikmin 3.
Myth:The Captain can destroy a wall faster than one single Pikmin
Last but not least of a myth: It’s possible to carry the gold bar from it’s original location with less than 100 purple Pikmin. I couldn’t find a way to get Oatchi up there so…

Myth: It’s possible to beat every phase of the final boss in less than 3 cycles. I have gotten really close to 2 cycle but have never managed to achieve it.
6:53 Interesting I guess they set the damage value to a flat number instead of multiplying it when a spray is active. That probably means whites and pinks also do the same damage as reds and purples on sprays.
I knew the snitchbug thing because the doodlebugs drop a ton of bombs. I was in an area with doodlebugs and snitchbugs, and obviously I focused on the one that could actually KILL my pikmin. I was like, “oh hey, doodlebug drops bombs :))”
Then I watched the snitchbug pick one up and I was like, “oh.. this is a Miamoto moment….”

fun fact, the two purple candypops in the waterwraith cave recharge an unlimited time each day. as in you can use them both, leave the cave an re-enter as many times as you want (I learned that from watching Brassy Menders most recent stream)

Myth: When you freeze the water in the 3rd map with 100 ice pikmin and you reach midday, the water will stay frozen
Myth: when you freeze the water and you are on a deep area, you freeze (it teleports you out as if you fell from the map) but if you are not that deep you just dash to the surface

I actually found out myth 7 on my own! I couldnt reach those exact pikmin and slammed into the wall in desperation hahaha
Another myth (which I know for a fact is false but feel free to include it in the video): The Water Wraith can’t kill your Pikmin if you stack them in a corner just like in Pikmin 2
starting off thank you to gunnadahun for showing off my submission, mine was myth 7! in pikmin 3, rock pikmin have the same digging speed as yellow pikmin, the fastest diggers at 2x digging speed. followed by red pikmin which have a 1.5x digging speed, then blues and purples with a normal digging speed at 1x (if you count pikmin 4 glow pikmin and ice pikmin would go here too.) followed by whites and wings who have a 0.5x digging speed.

Talking to castaways as Oatchie results in different dialogue. And making your avatar into a carbon copy of a castaway in the character creator will result in different dialogue while speaking to that castaway.

Myth: If the captain and/or Blue Pikmin are under a ceiling while underwater and the water is frozen, they will get stuck in the ice.
Myth: Ice enemies can get frozen if they are standing in water that gets frozen.

perhaps there was more dedicated water hazards at one point too like an enemy that attacks with it

The first pikmin to end up to start drowning was an ice pikmin in sun speckled terrace where there are no enemies or hazards lol
7:30 In pikmin 3 the amount of rocks it takes to kill a mob is actually just a preset number. LIke 10 to kill a bulbblorb or whatever. So it might be the same in pikmin 4 but with way higher numbers

Somehow I’m there only one to document this to my knowledge, but you can talk to people at camp as Oatchi, everyone has custom lines for talking to Oatchi too!

Myth: Ancient Sirehound, Mammoth Snootwhacker, and Crusted Rumpup's phase damage caps can be bypassed

Oh yeah, here's a myth I'd like you to test: Purple Pikmin sound the same as Red, Blue and Yellow Pikmin when singing.
(In case you don't know how to make them sing, run on top of Oatchi for 15-20 seconds with a squad of 20+ Pikmin for them to sing.)
Myth - Pikmin 3 - A piece of the crimson banquet can spawn in the Shaggy Long Legs arena (A rare occurrence)
only reason the whistle supposedly works while you're riding oatchi is because drowning pikmin treat oatchi like dry land, and are programmed to follow it, they aren't actually responding to your whistle.
Myth: a yellow frog can kill rock pikmin crushing them on their death jump (dying on the air)
i saw this on a video and idk if it's a bug that just happens once or not, i'd say that it happened to me ingame too...
