Thanks for watching #newtooltuesday
Thanks for your review and showing me how to use it. I just got my BT600. The manual that it comes with doesn't say much.
I am just a DIYer who like to work my on own stuff. Went to my local auto parts to have my alternator tested. They use same kind of battery tester, that I am sure cost much more with a printer. After seeing this tool could test alternator, battery and starter in car. I wanted one. After pricing testers this is the one I picked.
Do I need the printer? No. But I can print out the test and have a baseline for future test. Will I use it much? Hopefully not. =)
But for the price of a tool that can do 3 test in car and of this quality. I think it's money well spent. I guess only time will tell.
I agree! I also don't need the printer and had a smaller handheld one before they sent me this to test. I really liked the printer when i worked in a shop professionally. We would always get someone that would come in with weird intermittent issues with a stereo or remote starter and one of the first things we would do is test the battery. Low voltage can cause all kinds of issues, especially as cars get more and more computerized.
Im glad you like it, mine has held up well
Not sure if its the new lighting, mic or camera, but this video's quality was really good!
Thanks Brian!!
$200 for a battery. HMMM.... The Toyota dealer just quoted me $471.00 installed. I said, NO Thank you!
Most modern cars with eco stop start systems have AGM batteries in the 200-300$ range.
Stores like oreilly's and auto zone will often install them for free, or you can totally do it yourself. A Toyota should be pretty easy, its just the darn German cars that need a reprogram when the batteries are replaced.
You didn’t read the instructions lol “ do not use the jump start terminals”
Yep. I suck
