Hey Joe. For the equalizer setting you showed for Pulse Elite with WC Freeze, can that be used for single player action adventure games as well or RPGs games like God of war, Spiderman 2, warhammer space marine 2 or Black Myth Wukong? Thanks as always
Funny story - earlier this year during EVO (biggest fighting game tournament in the world), they had these headsets at all the setups as Sony now owns EVO. I noticed quite a few of the players putting these on backwards. Not that directional audio is that big a thing in fighting games, I just thought that was funny.
Oh snap, I just got my Pulse Elites back from warranty repair, time to get some WC cooling pads. Have a pair for my Astro's and I love them. Thanks for the video!
im wearing the freeze for the first time and im noticing a similar difference from stock.. the comfort is greatly improved so it is a fair compromise.. thanks for this video
Man, I loved the sound of the Elite, but 2 separate units just kept disconnecting, so that sent me spiraling into the IEM rabbit hole, from where I have yet to return...... Thanks Joe, good stuff as always... is that the new TB 700 I see on the shelf?
@@myquietreviews Heard great things about the timeless, but haven’t heard them for myself. I did have the planar Artti T10’s and liked them but ultimately returned them. Currently using the Supermix 4, Artti R1, 7HZ Sonus, and Titan S2. Find all of those great for music and gaming and just different enough from each other to justify having all 4.
Stock pads are good and comfortable, but they make my ears sweat. The wicked cushion freeze pads are better for me on long sessions. All my headsets use freeze pads.
I personally have always sent these pads back for every headset i have bought them for, the height or distance from the speaker to your ear makes a huge difference, and the manufacture takes this into consideration when they tune the headset! The further away the less bass you will get and darker sounding, mids are not as loud and seems to shave off a few db on over all volume, i really noticed with the stealth pro's....i mean it just cuts the nuts right off and made it sound like a completely different cheap headset, even with EQ i could not make it sound the same. Also they use different foam than the manufacture, i personally would just buy a headset that is already designed with the kind of material you like for the ear cups, cloth or leather. The only headset that was able to sound almost identical to me with either leather or cloth pads was the asus delta 2! remember, they tuned the headset with both pad options in mind and picked certain foams. Wicked cushions is just trying to sell you something flashy, that will destroy the audio quality in my opinion! Save yourself a headache and buy replacement pads from the manufacture if able!
How can it simultaneously be "less bass, darker sounding, mids are not as loud"? If all frequency bands are down, the balance stays the same. Just raise the volume.
@ Because aftermarket pads aren’t the same dimensions, or materials. The company that makes your headset tuned it with all this in consideration, also on thicker pads, the actual speaker is further away from your ear, so you’ll get less over all volume also, even if it’s a few mm difference, but it doesn’t just lower the volume and changes the whole frequency response on most headsets, you have to use EQ…it won’t fix the bass sadly! All I know is I have bought aftermarket pads for my BS v2 pro 2023, TB stealth pro, epos H6 pro. All of them had the same characteristics, I would never buy aftermarket unless I just couldn’t buy the oem pads. If you like a cloth pad, it’s just best to buy a headset with this already taken into consideration during the tune process from the manufacturer. But by all means, spend your money if you want, it’s your money!
I was lucky and got the original Dark Plates from dbrand before Sony threatened to sue them. So I want mine black as well. Will definitely check out these pads.
Good day, thnx for your videos ! I bought Audez Maxwell headphones, I want to use them with a computer for games and listening to music, I subscribed to Qobuz and Spotify, but I connected the headphones via WiFi and did not hear any difference) I understand that I need a DAC and connecting my Maxwell only via a cable to the DAC, so that I could hear the difference? Am I understanding everything correctly? And if possible, which DAC within 200 +- dollars would you recommend for my setup. Thank you.
Hi joe i had thos haadset but it lacks bass. EVEN WITH THE bass up all the way still lacks bass i dont know what sony was thinking the only thing good about this headphone it gets loud. Buts its boring not too much punch . im currently using the focal hadenys with the fiio k11 r2r dac amp and joey oh my gosh its hands down the best best headphone ive ever used its engaging its imersive ots exciting and the most comfortable headphone ive ever used. But i will be waiting for the new turtle beach gen3 coming out but i know it wont sound as good as this and can you let us know if it gets loud enough for ps5 . But joey please try this setup the focal hadenys with the fiio k11 r2r dac amp you will be blown away how good it sounds no eq either i think im finally done looking.stay safe and happy gaming to all
Hey Joe! Can you help me to choose, please. I want to switch my Beyerdynamic Dt 770 pro to turtle beach stealth pro, is there big difference in sound quality (in music and games)? Is this worth it?
are these as firm as other WC pads? Increasing clamping force sounds like a bad idea. the problem I was having with pulse elite was same as maxwells. hearing my own heartbeat. That's a big reason I prefer to use pulse 3d for now. The original pulse 3d earpads were still my fav because they were not sealing or clamping too hard. Edit: no seeing the whole review.. nope. Staying on pulse 3d with stock or freeze pads (have both)

Salute. Thank you for sharing the measurements of these aftermarket pads.
Sick 🤟🏼 fanx dude just ordered some as I live in the tropics with extreme humidity and sweaty so all my others have perished.
Hey man, would you please release a good EQ for gaming and one for Media in general?

What IEM's are you using if you don't mind me asking??? I was thinking about getting the 7hz Timeless AE Planar Magnetic one's???
I really wanted to love them but my pair was having the crackling sound on the drivers. had to return them

@@devilsthumb DAMN 😱😱😱 I see you fell down the audiophile 🐇 🕳 as well 😂😂😂
@@devilsthumb So which one outta the 4 you have you like the best & would recommend me to get???
Did you happen to get the Stealth 700 gen 3 early for review or will we have to wait till they hit retail?
Video drops Friday! Peep the white box on the bottom right of this video. I teased it!
I got the same question for the astros a50 gen 5
Stock pads are good and comfortable, but they make my ears sweat. The wicked cushion freeze pads are better for me on long sessions. All my headsets use freeze pads.
are you reviewing the new A50 Gen 5? Seems like a cheaper version of the Xs
can you please make an ASMR video where you smear split pea soup into the pads and do a bass test
lolwut
🔥🥵🔥🥵
I second this
Great idea
Terrible idea, it's not an ASMR channel

I saw the stealth 700 gen3 good easter egg, I love my gen 2 max I tried many headset but the stealth is always my top headset I love the sound

What’s your EQ for stock pads on the PS5 for the Pulse Elite? Was just curious.
There's a new A50 Gen 5 coming out that is not the A50x version btw
Can someone recommend EQs for story driven games??…dont wanna miss out immersion on those games
Hey Joe, will you be doing a review of the R70x Refine?
Hi dear gadgetrytech whats the best headset just for fps (warzone)games on ps5?
Can wicked cushions make some deeper pads for arctis nova 7 be nice to get some different types instead of only different colours
So I I order these thru the Amazon app and then use your code is it the same thing in terms of like you getting a cut?
Do these change the sound at all? I like my pulse elite they work very well but pads on stock elite just make ears sweat
hey man, where is the FiiO k11 r2r review ??!

did sony fixed the issue with the disconnecting problem?

Did beyer send you the MMX 330 Pro?
Yes! I have been testing it, along with a few other models lately so I have a LOT of content coming
@@GadgetryTech Thought so! very keen to see how it stacks up against other hifi brands. There aernt any other reviews yet either
@@GadgetryTech Hell yes!
Amazon code is not working Joe
You cannot combine it with other stuff in the cart from other sellers / other coupons you already have applied.
The stock pads are so soft
Is the stealth 700 gen 3 better than the maxwelll
Im i the only one who found the original pulse headphone comfortable? 😂
18 minutes, nice and short. 😂
Hahah…. I died when I saw how long it really went. I couldn’t believe it
Don’t like the WC’s sound. Geekria sounds better w/EQ of course.
This headset is wasted potential. It has great features and sound quality but it snaps too easily. I was very careful with mine and it still broke.
A SHORT video, you say?
🫡 Yessir, I really like this brand
