    I gave up on first floor as I never was able to find a way down (or up through vents). Excellent run through.

    Hey man thanks for doing these videos,they are very helpful to a beginner.I´ve played a lot of Space Engineers and decided to give this game a try but I´m having a rough time getting used to this game´s UI and all the blocks and what they do.Nevertheless I´m having a good time.

      I'm glad the videos are helping you as that was the goal, like any game like SE it takes time to get to grips with, as long as you are enjoying the games it's a win :)

      (Belated) WELCOME to Empyrion: Galactic Survival! :D :D :D
      One way to "get used to" the game's UI "and all the blocks" is to dive into Creative mode and just mess around. :)
      I mean, sure, watch some video, so you can get a Taster, then go build a bunch of stuff to see how the UI works ...
      Pretty much anything you WANT to build, it will tell you what you NEED to build it - components, intermediates, or raw materials, etc. The game's "Empyrio-pedia" has a LOT of useful info, so while you're "learning", do pop into it from time to time, to enhance what you're already learning. :)
      And most def. come back for more of 7ft's vids! ;)

    Doing skillos pir. Missions gives you assault shotgun, and its somewhat easier. After that with full load you can handle abondoned base mission much faster. Also you can store extra guns, medpacks to known cargo storages which reduces time to reach backpack when died.

      Yeah I had a feeling my armor was toast which was why everything was hurting so much but I didn't want to make a new light armor to replace it, I was hoping for that upgrade :)

    I found some small rocks of gold on Akua. Up high in the mountains. Its very rare. You might not find it on your seed if you are flying about too high. I use the Sarab-HST for early exploration. I built a small sv light fighter to explore outer spsce or the orbit of Akua. I recall last time I went to orbit I got blown away from some drones...several of them. I don't know how dangerous or how safe it is now.

    • @7ftdustbunny
      @7ftdustbunny  11 месяцев назад

      These days in the starter areas there is 1 drone max in space. I have never seen gold but it wouldn't surprise me if they have put enough there somewhere to make an EVA boost 😉

    Gold can be found in the deep water biome of Akua, along with the large rocks and alien plasma. It doesn't seem to spawn a lot, but it can be found there, though you're likely going to need to spend a long time searching for it. The only alternative I currently know about is going to Omicron and exploiting the deposit there, or the planetary remnant.

      I found a couple of gold rocks in the desert on Skillon. Not sure what biome, I was just passing through and didn't mark it.

    • @themadman5615
      @themadman5615 Год назад +1

      Neat, I'll keep that in mind. That being said, I have also found some neodymium rocks in the dust bowl biome of Akua, which was very unexpected but welcome. Which more ore less indicates that you should be able to find just about every base resource on Akua, so long as you know which biomed to search.

    When I'm using an SV I craft a second tent and put it next to my SV to give me a controlled respawn point. When not in use it stays in the SV until I need it.

    48:57 -- just checking ... where the one appeared to kill you, and just before you applied the video "transition", it looked like a SECOND one was coming thru the door... O_O Any chance the 2nd one somehow reached you??
    Or was it just the one, with a "Critical Hit" like attack, being so strong? 324/500 is almost 65% of your health - that's a helluva hit! :O
    There's no "hunger" effect on losing Health, is there?? >_< Your hunger (satiation) was 197/500, just under 40% then..

      Ah, 52:22 -- your armour had degraded. >_< Yipes.
      Still, I DO wonder:
      (a) any chance the 2nd had somehow reached you, and you got a "double hit"?
      (b) does lack of sustenance affect your ability to TAKE hits?
      Thanks! :)
      Thanks for continuing to make your videos, and sharing them all with the EGS Community.

      53:00 -- Even in prior playthroughs, I'd not bothered to test heavier armours and only ever used the Light..
      I see the Jump Multiplier is 0.67 on Light, and only 0.45 on Heavy
      Jetpack Usage Mult.(??) is 1.2 on Light, and more, 1.73 on Heavy... Usage? Fuel/cells? (I forgot!)
      Light's Volume is 24 SU, vs Heavy's Volume of 41 SU -- not quite twice as bulky, then...
      Light can carry 100 SU, Heavy can take up to 200 SU capacity -- those're some BIG POCKETS! :P

    • @7ftdustbunny
      @7ftdustbunny  Год назад +1

      Not sure on the double hit but they do hit like trucks and my armor was shredded. On low food you only lose health at zero though it will tank your run speed a bit before that. I'm not sure if they have a crit system or a damage multiplier for if they head shot you that may be a thing

      It looks like the 2nd tier and assault shotguns both have bugs where their damage is a lot lower than it's supposed to be. The T1 shotgun hits a lot harder and I use it, even with the slower ROF and magazine capacity. Great series.

      @@7ftdustbunny - Personally, I'm perfectly fine with a static view of your inventory WITH your mouse pointer going everywhere all over it -- sometimes, I've been able to PAUSE when your pointer is over something NEW, so I can READ the "tool-tip" that appears for it. So.. I actually find it USEFUL that you "think with your mouse hand". LOL
      When the view is otherwise static, I don't see how or why it would be any bother (eg dizziness etc) to ANYone.
      Each person is gonna be Different; everyone has their own play style, and also presentation style for videos..
      While, sure, I've NOTICED things like this - "thinking with your mouse hand" - I've not seen that it's any "issue" really.

    • @Grayson_Phoenix

      There's a "new thing" which seems to be coming mainly out of America -- people are getting into the new habit of telling others that "What you're doing is Triggering Me" and you're supposed to Stop Doing That.
      As opposed to - say - the person (having an issue) removing themSELVES from "being triggered".
      I see it in a similar way to how the phrase "to take offense" holds its meaning --
      Bob says something not specifically directed at John. John takes offense. John tells Bob and Bob apologises, cuz he's kind enough to do so.
      But if it's NOT aimed at John in the first place, WHY did John CHOOSE to _TAKE_ offense? John TOOK it; he wasn't "given" it.
      "To Take Offense" implies the CHOICE to TAKE it. Don't CHOOSE to Take offense then! :P
      It's like at a Comedy gig, the comedian is telling jokes, and it's aimed at nobody in particular (unless you're one of those hecklers, then really you're asking for it!), but nowadays there's a chance that SOMEone in the Audience will TAKE offense and make a complaint afterward. O_O
      Like .. what?! Really?!?
      Comedians PUSH the boundaries of Freedom of Speech, which is Protected by Constitutions. If you're not being singled out, why CHOOSE to Take Offense? Why voluntarily TAKE it? It's being Overly-Sensitive. And then people wonder where the term "snowflake" came from... >_

      Look, I'm **__NeuroDivergent__**, and I GET IT -- some people may be "affected" by some things that others aren't.
      WE manage our OWN "issues" within the context around us; we don't "expect" that all our surroundings "conform" to accommodate us -- there's Too Many Variables, too many "differences", too many different types of people, of brains, for "neurotypicals" to have to pander to -- you CAN NOT PLEASE EVERYBODY ALL OF THE TIME -- that is just a plain and simple Fact. O_O
      But there's a New Generation of Entitlement which is absolutely ridiculous. >_<
      Professional Clinical Psychologists and/or Professors of Psychology have spoken / written about it...
      What IS the World coming to..?? O_O
      (Anyway, that's another entirely Heavy Topic which deserves its own discussion ELSEWHERE.)
