Can you do a video about the party culture? Are people there to learn and set themselves up for a career or just to party? I got a good scholarship but now I'm thinking it may not be a great fit for me.
This is an excellent question and it was one I asked several times when I was trying to decide if St. Lawrence University was the right school for me. I will definitely make a video about this topic this month (March). It will probably go up in the next couple of weeks. If you have any more questions please comment them and I can add them to the video. Choosing a college is extremely stressful and like you, I had a good scholarship staring me in the face. Thank you so much for watching!!
I walked on to the team (which means I had no previous experience). There are quite a few walk-ons and as a result, there are many opportunities to learn and progress. If you are interested and want to join, don't let your lack of experience hold you back because many of your teammates will be in the same boat (no pun intended). Let me know if you have any more questions!
To be honest, I am not really sure. However, the international students that I have talked to always stress the importance of maintaining their GPA in order to keep their scholarship. Not sure if this was helpful, but thank you so much for watching!
Mattresses are provided, but they are very uncomfortable in my opinion. It is a good idea to purchase a mattress topper because sleep is very important in college. Thank you so much for watching!
No idea if you remember me from SLU but I just watched your video about transferring!!! (If you are reading this comment, I highly recommend you go watch her video!) No, I did not end up transferring, but you made some really great points in your video.
Unfortunately, I don't think I can provide you with the most helpful answer. In my opinion, they are not very challenging but many others feel differently. I believe if you complete all your work, ask for help when necessary, and attend class you will be more than fine. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Congratulations!! You can dm me on instagram: @lenadianne_reads (You can find it on my RUclips banner.) I also have a new video coming out this week with more information about SLU, which hopefully will be helpful as well! Thanks for watching!!
Unrelated sidenote: do not attend or visit St. Lawrence University! Its in the middle of nowhere and unless you like narrowminded locals and faculty you will suffer 4 years of depression and anxiety there.
We are from Canada (Toronto). Love the warnings about the snow. 😄

Very helpful. My son just received acceptance
Do you need to know how to row to join the rowing team/club or can you learn and progress?

Is SLU generous in terms of financial aid to international students ?

Do they provide mattresses or do students have to bring their own?

Only reason I'm here is because of the generous scholarships. They give out a lot, so its worth checking out!
