Hello...Dear FN. Your house and garden is truly beautiful. Those Phalaenopsis Orchids are so healthy and lovely...i love it... 💕💕 💕 Thank you for sharing and wishing you a very happy day ahead...❤❤❤ Greetings from my Country..Zaleha.
As florações sempre recompensa o trabalho... linda imagem no final ! Beijinhos boa semana !
Beijinhos e boa semana 💖🥰🤗😘
Always love seeing your phals because of the water culture set up. You have such pretty color combos 😊 I am sure hieroglyphica will bloom for you in spring. She has grown a lot, wow! Nice 👌🏼 hoping you are having a beautiful day already, vecina favorita ❤
Thanks so much 🥰 dear Nina !!! I was feeling that the species could do better with more light. Let's see if I was right, time will tell. However, I cannot help feeling sort of sad for the standard types, although they seem not to mind. It's so silly of me 😛 especially because I may have to move the largest ones again to even less light. I may need their space for some of those I bought recently. It would so much less stressful not having to squeeze orchids indoors (sigh) Temperatures lowering down as of today but still sunny. Apparently it will rain from friday on for several days. I was concerned with too much heat for my guests on saturday, turns out here comes the rain 🥴🥴🥴🥴
Your Phals are doing wonderful, I was looking at your temps and thinking how great they were then realized they were your indoor Temps that you control, great video Fernanda
Hi Denise and thank you 🥰 Yes, those are my indoor temperatures. Although my summers are cool I don't have a suitable space to grow them outdoors and from mid November till May it is way too cold for them. Have a wonderful strat to the week, dear Denise 💖💖💖
Hi Fernanda, thank you for sharing an update on your phals. :) You have done a great job with the water culture. I hope that the Lounge phals acclimate well to their new home. If you gain any insights with the move, please share them. I hope you have a nice week!
Hi Kevin, it's always a pleasure to read your kind comments and I appreciate them so much. I am happy to say they they did not skip a bit with the move. I realized how wonderfully Phalaenopsis adapt to different light levels. Orchids with a good temper, as I call them 😄 Have a great week 🥰💖🌻🌼
Hi Julie, thank you !!! I decided growing my Phals in water culture because they were not doing well for me in bark and I felt comfortable with this method from the start. I hope you are already having a great start to the week 💖💖💖
Hi Fernanda, great video, thanks for sharing. You are doing very well in water culture method, lots of beautiful blooms. I tried once before and didn't work for me. I might give it a go again in future, but how often do you water and do you fill the glass full and then empty it? How do you fertilise?
Thank you, Mary 🙏 My containers have water at the bottom pretty much at all times. With a few exceptions, that is, every time I clean the vases and change water, I let the vases empty for one day. And, in the peak of winter if days are gloomy and cold, I let the roots dry out every week for one or two days. In cold winters I also have tried filling the vases all the way half the root length for 2 days and then let the roots dry for 3 days for the species and 5 days for the standard Phals. This works pretty well in winter. As for fertilizer, my water in the vases has fertilizer at all times. Or any other supplement I want them to have. If you are willing to try again, I would suggest you start with water in the vase for as long as it takes the roots to hydrate, then empty the water and only give it water again when roots are dry. That is how I started although, these days that I am more confident, I place the tips of roots straight away in water for the long periods I've mentioned and they like it 💖💖💖 Have a wonderful week !!!
Olá Fernanda! I love to see your garden! Water culture is so fascinating to me and you cultivate so well in this method. I have far too many orchids to ever try this way though. I have to ask, what variety is your Schilleriana? I love how elongated the leaves are and the markings. I have a Schilleriana but my leaves are more rounded and compact. As always, thank you so much for sharing! Have a blessed weekend 😊🌺
Hi Troy, thank you very much for commenting, much appreciated. I don't exactly know which is the variety of my schilleriana. However I know that they come from the Phillipines and Malaysia, the ones from the Phillipines have smaller leaves than the ones from Malaysia. However, the flowers are the same and so is the scent. I hope it helped. Thank you again and my best wishes for the rest of your week 💐💖💝🥰
@@FernandaNascimentoOrchids Thank you so much for that information! I do know that the vendor I buy most of my species Phals from does regular imports from Thailand. Now I know why mine looks so different from what I was looking for.
Beijinhos e tudo a correr bem 😘😘😘
Oi, Fernanda!
Beijinhos e boa semana 🥰🤗😘
Good evening Fernanda, Thank you for sharing this great video. The phalaenopsis flowers are so beautiful
Have a nice week. Manu
A very nice week you too, amigo Manu!!! And thank you so much for the lovely comment, much apperciated 💖💖💖

aerial roots are common in phalaenopsis when humidity is high enough in their growing area. Nicely growing orchids.
Hi Marc, thank you. I don't mind the aerial roots and I even like them, especially when they have growing tips. Have a great strat to the week 💖💖💖
