I've noticed that in interviews, Penn State wrestlers often mention that it is important to keep the sport enjoyable and fun. You've got to think that admonition is coming from Cael. A lot of those other Big 10 school wrestlers look beaten down by the end of the season and Cael's gang seems to be at their peak. Whatever it is, Penn State wrestlers seem to hold the key to ultimate success.
I literally just has this debate with someone on the eiermann vs Lee ncaa match last year. They swear Penn state has better cardio. I say maybe, that's something that we can't measure. I see there success being attributed more too gameplan/adjustments.
@@pocketssmith5933 With the intensity that Iowa trains at, I doubt it's a cardio issue. Penn State coaches just know how to put it together in the finals. And I say that as a Hawkeye fan.
@@pocketssmith5933 I thought Iowa won both the B10 and the NCAA last year and Penn St did not. PSU wrestled well on the 3rd day of the finals. Iowa wrestled better on the first 2.
@@socalastarte6727 Last year would be considered a down year for Penn St. whereas Iowa had it going on with the talent. But who's won the most in the past 10 years is the better measure of a successful program and how the wrestlers look at the end of the year, fresh? or worn out?
Wrestling is hard. You get beat up. Practices are brutal. You get injured. Pretty much everybody loses at some point and if you are a 'star' at whatever level it is front and center. It can be a rite of passage. A vision quest. But for those with that mind set it is also fun. Coaches are getting that now.
These two look like something out of a horror movie. A movie somewhere between the Chucky Twins, and Chainsaw massacre in Iowa. Somebody needs to write it. How about calling it A Brands New Horror Film, Having Fun? or Tom and Terry Do Iowa?

Nittany lion Wrestling club working with Penn State should be an NCAA recruiting violation. Maybe the Crimson Tide should be able to practice with the Buccaneers.
The Brands brothers were great wrestlers and are good coaches. That said there's definitely something wrong with Tom. Tom is (cough) a little bit hyper.
I love how awkward they are socially. You can tell these are two guys who just wanna fucking wrestle. They have to do these interviews, but they’re so awkward, socially they would rather just be on the mat teaching moves.
These two,
Absolutely love them. I hope the young men learning from them really know just what kinda head start they have.

It's wrestling. Men like the Brands make men out of boys

There are two real champions right there
The amount of wrestling domination past present and future just in that short video is amazing.
They are just my favorite wrestlers from Iowa.. and the Steiner’s.. and of course the kisler brothers
These guys man. Gotta love em.
"cut wood and shoot" one of the best lines ever!
Very cool, I am going to bring some pizza, beer, and a karaoke machine into their next wrestling practice. We will have a lot of fun and laughs.

Refund every ticket holder every match Spencer doesn't wrestle.
No Glory vs Lee = no fun at all. Bad for wrestling sitting out Lee.
Lee is still injured I wouldn’t start him
So why does Terry try and get into a fight at every dual? His wrestling career has been over for 20 years. His act has gotten pretty old.
