Fun fact: The creator's of Scooby-Doo 1 & 2 enjoyed Matthew Lillard's performance so much that they hired him to play as Shaggy.
Another fun fact: There was an animated series called The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo.
You wore the outfit better than the Rock. You're so gorgeous!! Anyways, you can't go wrong with classics like 13 Ghosts. If I had to choose between the OG 13 Ghosts and 2001's 13 Ghosts, I would choose the original, it's well written and it has aged remarkably well, but the remake isn't too shabby. Matthew Lillard totally stole the show.
Just one small correction, the original 13 Ghosts was NOT in 3D or ever planned to be in 3D, the "ghost viewer" they handed out to the audience just used the same Red/Blue filters that 3D glasses in that time used.
The William Castle gimmick was you could look thru the BLUE filter and see the ghosts, but the RED filter made the ghosts invisible, so if they were too scary (yeah, right) you could make them disappear. I agree that the remake is much scarier , and loved the lawyer getting sliced in half, still one the most gruesome deaths in any movie.
I Always Love & Admire How Hard You Try To Pull Off These Different Eras Of Looks When They Most Likely Feel Like The 90s. You Just Effortlessly Have This 90s Vibe To You That You Can't Take Away From Yourself & This Was Hands Down One Of Your Best Looks.

When I was 6 years old, my Dad took me to see the original 13 Ghosts, and I must say, the movie scared the living daylights out of me. The other one that got me was 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 (1963 original).
If you take Lillard out then the 2001 movie drops to a 4/10. With him and without the badass iconic villains, its 3/10. Without both 0/10. As it is, 8/10. Great remake. I've only seen the original once

I remember when I would go to Blockbuster as a little kid, I would see the 13 Ghosts DVD cover and run outside in fear. I was scared to go back inside haha.
Even now, I love horror movies and they rarely scare me that much, but that DVD cover still brings PTSD
I always loved the bonus features of the remake delving into the backstory of each ghost, and the yesss the ghost practical effects are so unique. Makes me miss early 2000s horror & Blockbuster :/

I'm sure someday you will be able to also make a comparison of the original "The Crow" and the remake starring the very cool Bill Skarsg°ard in the titular role.Despite the negative reviews I am looking forward to this remake and bet I will thoroughly enjoy it 👍
I also love me some Matthew Lillard. He never disappoints. And even his character is kinda meh in this I love to see Tony Shaloub as well.
Some really great comparison pieces here, my favorite one of these is the remake starring the always cool Mathew Lillard from a set of movies that make a awesome double feature "Scooby-Doo 1&2" and of course " Scream"
the older is way better the black and white the erie ghost voices anything black and white adds the creepyiness to it and i liked the kid, and Billy or so and the moans the sound effects how the ghosts look todays version of ghost makes them look more modern and just in suits and stuff and color adds to the unhelp of the creepy vibe the ghost sounds looks of the old really captures ghost and the old reallly creeped me out the new was just so modern and just boring the characters were just so generic and dull. Seems like all remakes are like that want to go for the gore or make them look more human ghosts. So looks like costumes, the effects of the ghosts and teh things it did the creepy ooooo oo oo moans cant be beat and visuals. Older spooky many times out weights the new. Most the time. Sorry i dont like the remake. Same as the garbage new remake house on haunted hill.

I like both, although I lost out on some of the original because I don't think they make red/blue 3d glasses anymore? The original is funny. The remake is a unique spook house film and one of my favorite horror films of all time.

Disney vibes is exactly what the film gives, there's something about the way the set moves and the characters interact that makes me think of the crud like "Cats & Dogs" and live action Disney films.

I wasn't really a fan of 13 ghosts but according to minty basically the minty channel it's 10 things you don't know about the 13 ghosts and basic how it's become a cult classic the 2001 version and everybody seems to love it I'm not a fan but my mom loves it I never really got into it

@@HauntedHippie There actually weren't any spoilers they were very careful with that and it looks insane. Just make sure you don't watch the Halloween Kills trailers they show way to much like they show full on deaths make sure you don't watch those trailers

I had no idea that the 13 Ghosts from 2001 was remake before i watched this despite how much of a mess 13 Ghosts was I still enjoyed it for what it was to be honest u wore it better keep up the great work 💙💚

There Are So Many Great Comparisons Between Both Films. Mainly Modern-Wise, But Also, The Cast Of Characters/Actors, The Plots, Technology, The Practical Or CGI Ghosts Themselves, The Soundtracks & The Settings. Personally Growing Up With Matthew Lillard's Version For So Long As A Child, I Definitely Prefer The Remake. It's Such A Laughably Enjoyable Favorite Guilty Pleasure Film Of Mine & Always Will Be. 2001's Thirteen Ghosts Practical Effects Were So Uniquely Groundbreaking In My Opinion At The Time. No Other Horror Movie At The Time Of The Early 2000s Never Came Close To Pulling Off Those Effects & Every Actor & Actress Portrayed Their Roles So Greatly In The Film. The Movie Overall Still Scares The Hell Out Of Me Today. Especially The Jackal. Him The Juggernaut & The Hammer Were The MOST Horrifying Ghosts In The Film As Well As The Angry Princess. She Scared Me More Psychologically But She Was Also So Hauntingly Beautiful❤️
