- Hi, This is a very important video for those who have a long yet thin curry leaf plant.
In this video, I have shown how to cut the long plant and transform it into a small and bushy plant. Before doing this Hard pruning, kindly make sure that the plant is alive, you must have a sharp pruner and a fungicide with you.
The main point is that you have to do this in the Spring season only.
After this cutting, keep your plant in a shady area and give water when needed.
Do not give any fertilizer, although you can give compost in the soil.
Within 20-25 days new shoots will appear and your plant will start growing.

I do this hard pruning of my curry patta plant every year. I have two plants in pots.. I have a curry leave tree too and I give same treatment to this tree too because I want to keep it under my reach.. If I don't do this hard pruning of my tree I'm sure It will go up to the second floor and I will have to go on my tarrace to take curry patta whenever I need it. Every year this tree again converts in to a full lush 5-6 ft green curry leave tree even after a hard pruning❤

Wonderful video about hard pruning. My kari patta is exactly like what you showed in video, and I was just thinking of discarding it. I will surely give a try. Can you pl tell me, if I don't have a fungicide that you applied, can i clean the prunner blades with alcohol based sanitizer? Pl advice.

Pruning ki achi video hai ... basic informations cover kri hai....one thing want to knw what is the reason for giving it only compost not any other fertilizer... also maine abhi curry patta plant lagaya hai april end mein.. not doing well... maali is saying ki uska season abhu nahi hai... kya krna chahiye... woh kadak tez 1 se 4 baje ki dhoop paata hai
Compost 1 organic and slow fertilizer hai, abhi plant ke pas bas branches hai to heavy fertilizer na de.
ye plant ko kabhi harm nahi krega.
Curry patta ka season summer hi hai, garmi zada pad rahi hai, 1-4 baje ki dhoop bahut zada tez hoti hai, shade me rakhe.

Mam winter flowers ke seed collect kar ke sun rise me rakka ta achanak barish aya aur sab gila hogaya infect 6-7 hrs under water ta pliz pliz kuch solution de to recover thease seeds.

Thank you for the video. I have a short plant growing well (1 foot tall). I live quite North in the USA where summer is just about starting. Should I prune or leave it this year? If not to prune how do you suggest for me to harvest it? Any videos on that?
Do not prune in winter, we loose them and the branches just becomes dry and useless, i did once and paid price. anything should be done when we keep them outside when temperatures above 50 degrees F in usa and let it settle a bit outside for a while and then prune it. when its hot...no. so do it early before gets too hot. Dont water too much inside in winter, i lost one completely.

I live in uk I had curry plant for 2 years never went down first time 12 weeks a go leaves goen bit yellow and started to fall about Oct November and December time now it stop dropping leaves but I don't want to loss my plant and as you say my not busy but tall can you help me what to do and what time of year in uk

Very nice video..Can u give personal suggestion.My curry leaf plant is not bearing leaves after hard pruning.I did it in October.Still after 5 months not even a single leaf.But stem is still green from inside.Will it grow??Its a very old plant and the stems are very thick almost double than yours.

Seeds hybrid wale lijie. Unka size kafi accha hota hai. Normal seeds mein bahut heavy fertilizers dalne padte hai, wrna chote reh jate hai vo.
