I'm sure it has been said before but why not get a water machine and the 5 gallon water bottles? The machines have a cold and hot water spout. Very convenient. There is a safety feature on the hot water spout. Seems easier and would take up less space.
She pays a lot if money on water it's crazy I hope she recycle all them water bottles.
Hey sweet girl, wow that was a workout! You did good!!! I wanted to comment on those who ask you about why you buy water and not use the bottles you bought for the kids. Those people don't want an answer, they want to snark and think they are cute. I think you are so kind to answer them and want you to know you are way more kind than I would have been. What you do and buy for your family is none of their business. I have five kids and a ton of grandbabies, and I challenge any one of them to question me on how I conduct what I do or buy for them. I have noticed that a few of the major snark offenders don't have children (thankfully) and have no idea what it takes to feed a family. Yep, you sure do buy alot, and so what! You and Josh are taking damn good care of those kids and my prayer for you both is not to let those out there of don't have a clue get to you. You are a good mama! Don't forget that. You put that smile on every day and let negative people win. Karma is real and it is coming for them Bug Hugs!

Also, it’s nobody’s effing business why you buy anything, especially water bottles. Someone will always buy them. You’re not the root cause of anything. I know you recycle, so people need to step back. I, too, buy and use a s**tload of them. Come get me, haters!! ❤
A couple of questions
1. Why do you use paper plates and bowls, instead of China ones?
2. What is wrong with drinking water from the tap? I boil mine all the time and have a jug in the fridge all the time.
They have a septic tank issue and can't use extra water washing dishes she's mentioned when buying paper stuff before.
You would rather hurt the environment then recycle water because you don’t teach your kids responsibilities 🤦♀️
Doesn't have to be a $30 water bottle buy cheap one's and teach them to be responsible 👍

Well, I’m hoping what I saw, as Alicia was unloading the groceries into the van, at the store, was just a fluke, not normal. While you were unloading all the waters, I saw at least 2-4 men walking by, clearly seeing you struggling to get the heavy water cases into the van. Not one time did anyone bother to offer help! Here in Texas, you would have been offered help by several, even women would have offered! It’s just what “we” do, help each-other!
Happy Birthday sweet Alicia! It amazes me to watch you and the family. I often wonder how in the world you are able to keep everything, everyone, and all the activities each child has so organized! When my kids were much younger, they would say I was an “organizational freak”! Lol Yet, we never missed or was late to any event/activity they had! But, we were a family of 4, not 14! I can’t wrap my brain around keeping such a large family so organized! Standing ovation to you Alicia!❤
I’m in shock to see all the hate comments on these videos. She’s the strongest mother I honestly have ever seen on this platform, and for people to say she’s abusive, and an awful mom is just mind boggling to me. Everybody has their own ways of parenting, and maybe her way of teaching the kids responsibility is different from how others may do it, that’s not abuse, that’s just being unique, and innovative when it comes to parenting.
Teach your kids responsibility. I am all over my kids about water bottles. If they forget it, I tell them find it before you get in this car tomorrow or you owe me $20 from your piggy bank. They learn real fast. Just get one of those hinkley water dispensers. It would decrease your impact on the earth. This current plan is pretty wasteful

Or a water purification system in the house
With 14 kids and mom and dad that would be a lot of water to purify for 16 people and guests.

She doesn't even need to do that she lives in NY the tap water is DELICIOUS. When i lived in nyc i rarely ever bought bottled water. I moved to Nevada and the water is so gross i buy bottled water constantly and have a water dispenser I never needed any of this when we lived in NYC. I miss NY water.
@@thespicyonion RO systems use up to 5 gallons of water to yield 1 gallon of purified water. For a minimum of 14 people daily, that is not cheap, and consider the cost of filters......
I wish I could do this. I’m a disabled widow and an autistic son. I would love to fill my cabinets. I have to buy 300-400 in Body Armor to keep my kidneys functioning. Being diabetic I can’t drink the gaterade. I’m also allergic to artificial sweeteners and on insulin because of it.

I definitely agree about the bottled water. You've spent a fortune on water bottles from Dick's Sporting Goods and other places. Do you return all those bottles for a refund?

I grew up in western NY in the 60s & 70s and the deposit law was in effect even then(at least for glass bottles). I distinctly remember rinsing bottles out and taking them back to the store for credit.
I recently used bottle return machines, for the first time in a very long time. And wow oh wow, have things changed! Everything is 5 cents now (which I’ve always been aware of that change), but now you can only return items to certain stores! I went to 3 stores machines, and I still wasn’t able to return all of my bottles and cans because it has to be the store that sells them. I was shocked. I always thought people who collect cans were working hard, but I didn’t know the half of it. Really an insane system.
Oh my gosh, when the velveeta when on the opposite way I audibly gasped, thank you sooo much for turning it the right way 😅😅
Deposit for the bottles and cans.😂 In Germany it's 25 cents per bottle and 15 cents per can. So than you think twice about throwing a bottle in the trash. And for a family of 5 basically adults now we have about 20€ of "Leergut" as we call ist in about a week.

We had a high here today of 55. It was chilly. Tomorrow is gonna be a summer day with a high of 60 lol. We are starting to dip in the low 30s at night. I hope it is cold this year that means we get less snow. I have a TBI and snow is hard for me to go out in without falling when there is snow and worse yet is ice under the snow, but everyone who lives from the Midwest over know all about ice and snow. I would live rain and never no snow. We have bottle deposit here also but 10 on each bottle or can. Such a pain to take them back. We save ours and when money gets low they get returned for gas or food. We normally return when we have 40.00 plus in returns. The husband drinks a lot of pop. I am an ice coffee girl myself.
Here in Germany, in every empty water bottle we need to bring it to the store and outside of that store there’s a thing to put all of it (like a vacuum machine) lol. And each bottle is .25€ cents Pfand(deposit). That’s why the empty water bottles here are 💶😂 not only water but also sodas, beer cans, beer bottles etc. 😊

We are a family of 13 and I always find it interesting to see how other large families shop. We show our shopping hauls as well here and they are so different.
They have an abundance of finances which helps immensely. An abundance of love & happiness. Something someone like me doesn't understand bcz my mother was a narccissist & we landed in foster care. My partner's were controlling & abusive. I need to learn kindness now at the end of my life.

I was hoping the kids would be more appreciative of what they have, especially the foster care ones. But it seems none of them see the value of money. They always lose their stuff and Alicia ends up buying them a new one every time. I hope Alicia teaches them to be more responsible. It may stress her out (i know she said she doesnt like to stress out), but being responsible is an important trait to teach people at a young age

If you got a Costco near you they are selling full pallets of water for 400 bucks idk if they raised the price. That pallet is PERFECT FOR YOU. I’m thinking of buying a pallet and distributing it to family and maybe the food banks for any that’s left over. The pallets are online or on the app it cost about 450 altogether including the taxes. I think it’s worth it. It’s a 48 case 40 count/case in each pallet.
You can buy a pallet of water from any store. Sams, Costco even Walmart. You can actually buy a pallet of anything from any store.

I live in Canada. Tap water is drinkable and much cleaner than bottled water. I’m guess I’m surprised that isn’t the case in NY

When you were loading the van my back hurt for you (I have a bad back), and then I thought you need to buy a flat trailer for hauling a quad or something and to use that to grocery shop so you don't have to play tetris with all the seats! I can't even drive a trailer but I just associate you with superwoman so obviously in my head you can totally do the trailer!!!
I think I what I dislike about shopping the most is carrying stuff in after though... If anyone ever asks you what your workout routine is just send them this video :D
