    I hope the second god wanting to leave is Asmodeus: he might aim to "reunite the family" as said over and over in Downfall.
    Also, everything happening from now on will be epic: Fearne hosting Predathos, or a new calamity befalling on armies of good and evil, gods fighting agains each other, Vox Machina and Mighty Nein back into the scene... finally C3 picked up in intensity!

    • @jonathanhibberd9983

      I doubt it. He's too proud. He'd rather wipe out all Exandrians. In ascending order of likelihood (of the ones we know): Wildmother, Pellor, Matron, Sarenrae, Lawbearer, Changebringer.

      Also I will never understand those that say C3 is too slow. Campaign 2 spent 112 episodes fucking around doing nothing - no big arcs, nothing that impacted anything. The closest they had was the king in irons, which amounted to a whole lot of nothing. C3 has been laser focused on one storyline since the very start. And the pace has been steady breakneck since they left for Bassuras the first time.

    I think that the second god down with the Arch Heart's plan might be the Lawberer, it makes less sense than one of the betrayer gods as they are the ones that wanted to leave in the first place BUT since the plan doesnt involve death to all mortals nor death to other primes it pushes me to think that it may be another prime. Then again the betrayers arent all dark and bad so yeah, those were my thoughts

    • @davidgolfspro
      @davidgolfspro 2 дня назад +5

      As an extra point, spoiler downfall warning. The Lawberer didn't come to Downfall, they sent a representative. As the Lawberer felt, law should not pick side, so to join personally would be against the laws purpose.
      We could extrapolate that further to say, in the argument of "kill the gods, or save the gods". The closest you could get to being "neutral" would be to leave. If you leave, the gods don't die, and you don't cause a calamity. You negate both sides demands. Kind of like when someone is in a group removes themselves from an argument when they are not as informed.
      It is just choosing the closest to neutral option as possible, is to just leave.

  • @Applebliss99

    I understand the psychic lance, but I also think Laura jumped in too quickly when she could have let Ashley finish what she was doing. In the end its all good, but I do think it is important for confident/vocal players to keep an eye out for when quieter players are trying to have a moment. Its easy to steam roll over them without meaning to!

    The Arch Heart seemed pretty adamant about he fact, that if they dont free Predatos themselves before anyone suspects, it would definitely lead to another calamity. I would assume this is a pretty definite reason to do it. Sure they might be wrong, I think the Idea came from Abubakar, but I wander if mat is planning to end with something that will remove the gods and the players just choose the way.

    I still think the Matron of Ravens came to be because she was meant to. For all that there's anger over some "mortal" rising to take over the position of the Death God, when I think back to Downfall, she was meant to be the one to rise up and replace that escaped Being. So it makes all her push to be who she is all the more interesting, though I'm surprised she's not more involved in things.
    Also, Laudna... next Champion of the Raven Queen? Maybe she releases Vax from service? (not sure if he's been released by now from the stasis he's in or not). I mean it is kind'a cheesy but it'd be a hell of an event.

  • @ForeverDegenerate
    @ForeverDegenerate 3 дня назад +5

    @Luboffin
    I think the other God on board with the Arch Heart's plan and desire to leave Exandria is The Raven Queen and here's why. The first and most direct piece of evidence to support this is the fact that The Raven Queen is the only other God that Abubakar roleplayed aside from the Arch Heart. He said there were two, including himself, that were on board to leave and he roleplayed exactly two Gods as the interim DM. That's a huge flag for me.
    The second is because I disagree with your reasoning for why she wouldn't be on board. You said that The Raven Queen, as portrayed by Laura Bailey, would never be on board with this idea and, in fact, was antagonistic toward the idea during Downfall. That is true, but consider how much time has passed between Downfall and Present Day and also consider who she's been observing and conversating with for the last 30 years. That's right Vax'ildan, her current Champion. Vax's entire character arc with The Raven Queen in Vox Machina was for him to accept death as a part of life. It would be rather hypocritical of The Raven Queen to convince Vax of this fact while not believing in it herself. I believe that The Raven Queen, at the time of Downfall, was in an "us or them" mindset. She had recently survived The Calamity so, being the God of Death, she really wasn't in the mindset to be willing to "go quietly into the night." But now? After having witnessed the death of her previous Champion, convincing her new and current Champion that death is merely a part of life, and conversating with and learning about her current Champion? I believe she is in a far different headspace now than in Downfall and would readily accept departure from Exandria.
    And the third is because Abubakar had The Raven Queen reach out to Laudna. I believe The Raven Queen did that because she is, in fact, preparing to leave. There are two loose ends that The Raven Queen needs to tie up before leaving. One is the retrieval of her Champion, Vax'ildan, which I believe WILL happen before the end of Campaign 3. But the other is the one blight on life, the one undead piece of crap, that has continuously evaded her Threads of Fate: Delilah Briarwood. And conveniently, Delilah is tethered to Laudna. If The Raven Queen gets Laudna, she gets Delilah and there's nothing Delilah can do about it because she goes where Laudna goes. I think The Raven Queen is going to offer Laudna a deal: "Let me take Delilah and you will be rid of her forever. I will restore your life and I will take Delilah's place as your Patron for the rest of your mission until I leave with my family. Do this and I will only have one more request for you: Rescue my Champion. Rescue Vax'ildan." I think Laudna is going to shift from being a Warlock of Undeath to a Warlock of Death and thus a Second Champion of The Raven Queen. And I think The Raven Queen is going to drag Delilah, kicking and screaming, to where she should have been since the end of the Briarwood Arc: To The Afterlife. And if this is the case, I can see Laudna receiving a Vestige of Divergence from The Raven Queen. I think it would be poetic if a Champion of The Raven Queen is needed to rescue a Champion of The Raven Queen. And I think it would be rather appropriate if the only other God on board with "dying" is Death Itself. Think about it. The two Gods who think this is a good idea are the Gods of Beauty and Death. And for The God of Death, there is nothing more beautiful than Death "for it brings meaning to life." And I would think that, by this time, The Raven Queen has realized that even her "death" will bring meaning to life; specifically the lives of Exandrians.

    • @itsyourmumma
      @itsyourmumma День назад +2

      Right or wrong you have provided an excellently presented speculation. The most compelling factor here is that The Raven Queen presented herself, we assume alongside or at least in the presence of The ArchHeart, and thus would know of their desire to leave. Seems reasonable that the Raven Queen is therefore the other God that has expressed a desire to leave. Maybe ascending and having to watch/guide all those souls is not as fun as she'd hoped for and indeed would like to experience the infinite.
      My other contender is the LawBearer considering their thoughts during the Downfall episodes, basically not wanting to have to take sides anymore.

    First off love the Cat ad!! So Cute, they have voices now!! 2e
    - The Change was 2e -> 3e
    - The Spellplague was 3/3.5e -> 4e
    - The Second Sundering was 4e -> 5e
    There was a popular theory for a while that the obelisks found in many 5e adventure books was to support an eventual, 5.5, edition change in Forgotten Realms lore.
    This all to say, I think CR has built enough foundation to pronounce an edition change from 5e -> Daggerheart. All we need to see now is, what path do we take in Exandrian lore.

    • @willow8783
      @willow8783 2 дня назад

      I've made comments on Tumblr about this possibility. If the current deities each chose a single champion as an heir, then several of these level 20 heroes could essentially be taken off of the board in future campaigns. Why send a bunch of low level adventurers against a major threat when there's that many level 20s who've proven they'll fight the big bads? It's basically the whole, "Why not just call the Avengers?" issue in the Marvel universe.
      Let the Arch Heart and the Matron of Ravens adapt her rituals of ascension and raise these heroes into constellations in the skies, empowering those of a religious nature and keeping an ever vigilant watch over the lands they've fought so long and hard to protect. They'll exist in a realm outside of the divine gate, able to simultaneously split their attention between their constellations and the eternal rest they've earned. This will allow deities who've known the struggles of mortal life and who were born on Exandria to protect their home while letting outsider gods (and their IP restrictions) leave.
      When a mortal soul dies on Exandria, it returns to the cycle of rebirth that existed before unless, when brought before the new master of death, they request to join the gods. If their request is pure and approved, they are welcomed there for as many cycles as they wish, with the option to return their soul to the Exandrian cycle at any time.

    I think the other god that is siding with the Archheart is either the Changebringer or the Knowing Mistress. For the Changebringer, that kind of thinking just fits her overall vibe, and as for the Knowing Miatress, she is still injured from the Calamity, she probably doesn't have much fight in her anymore. Against Predathos, she is the wounded gazelle that the lions single out and eat first.

    Personally, I think the second god who is ready to leave is the Dawnfather. We saw how he hardened his heart and, in a way, put aside the naive hope of Ayden as he began to accept the possibility that his presence in Exandria was actively harming his children. He's been wrestling with this for centuries even up to current day when he commanded Deanna to strike down the arrogant mortals who wished to release Predathos or lose the gifts he had granted her as a Cleric. Then he was disappointed when she said she wasn't going to argue with him, wishing she'd go into this with a conviction of faith rather than seeing it as a reason-based transaction.
    I could see him coming to look at the commandments he demands of his followers and slowly looking inward to see if he has been leading by example. A second Calamity-level event, that would have to extend far further than a single floating city to destroy all knowledge of Predathos if Ludinus broadcasts it everywhere, would be a difficult thing for one to rationalize against his tenets.
    Plus, it would allow for another Downfall cameo that wouldn't require a main cast member to slip into their deity's headspace at the same time as their main character. The Lawbearer is a harder sell as well because they know the deals that the deities made and wouldn't be willing to break them so easily.
    (and side, funny note - Travis yelped that much at the fly zapper/swatter only for it to *spoilers* NOT EVEN KILL THE FLY LATER! Therefore, fly = tougher than Travis, lol!)

    I don't believe that's the Arch Heart and they are being deceived by someone. Everything he said just went against what we know of the god.

      @@Dunybrook They talked about how it all happened in the Cooldown on Beacon. It’s definitely the Arch Heart, and I honestly don’t think they would have done what they did in the episode if it was some kind of deceit. Too much work to sell the bit.

    Ok , I'm going to talk crazy but just heard me out ?
    Ok this is going to link back to Travis wanting Imogen to give into Predothos* or Travis and Laura's Car Rides Home where Laura has confirmed Travis wants Imogen to take her Dark Power from The Red Moon even if there's no going back ? Travis wants Imogen to walk into The Storm.
    Back to Ferne n Chet
    Travis and Ashley had a Plan , I think inbetween games* But Ashley being Ferne technically Ashleybeing Ashley* Ashley forgot at The Table.
    But The Plan was Ferne joins Sorrow Lord as a Spy* but also gains trust and knowledge from The Sorrow Lord to put Ashley right next to where The Heroes need to get and Ferne will be The Bomb the Heroes need once everyone is ready to fight the final battle or Biggest Battle w/ Armies ?
    Ferne could get close to Imogen's Mom and help her too so Ferne and Imogen's Mom can work together as Spies or get Liliana ? Out safe during The Fight or right before threw the secret portal ?
    There is an angle w/ Ferne she can get close and be in danger but then Ferne gets plans and intel for her allies and links in Liliana* to stragizegetting innocent out of to safe location so the fight is clean.

    I think the second god is the Lawberer or Sereanre( pike's god). From Downfall they are probably the most willing to leave Exandria. I guess it's one of the gods of Downfall. We already know which ones it can't be. Not the Wildmother, or the Spider Queen, and Pelor ( forgot his name). I don't think his a betrayer nether.
