The fact that I haven’t played this game in like 5 years and can still figure out 5 of the top 7 by process of elimination shows both how much I played this game growing up and how much I agree with the list
It's just me but where the classic mario party minigames were more creative and realistic in a real world as if it wasn't in the Mario universe and MPDS is the last game to be developed by hudson. Also that the mini games were unique and different and after DS which followed MP9 and from there, the Mario Party system changed so much and the mini games doesn’t feel the same anymore after Hudson went bankrupt and ND Cube took over from MP9 and the rest

Hey Slimkirby, this was a wonderful list and I agree with a lot of the minigames and your ranking them on this list. Chip and Dips i agree kind of sucks because you never know what card you are going to get and if you get the bowser card in the last round you could go from first to last instantly. I played Cheep Cheep Chance on my Wii U and with it’s restore points, I found out that whether you win or lose is already determined when your turn comes so it doesn’t really matter which rope you pick the result will already be the same as what the game decided for you, so all of the ropes are you win or lose, no 50/50 or things like that. I also hate Rail Riders, Cherry-go-round and get the lead out. I feel that the AI cheats or presses the A button superhumanly fast especially on expert or master so beating them is pretty mich impossible on that. And Rail Riders and Cherry-go-round can kill your touch screen by scratch damage alone. I think I will look forward to your Mario Party Island Tour Minigame rankings, though I personally hope that after that you skip Mario Party the top 100 and do Super Mario Party Minigame’s rankings after Island Tour.
And I think It really should. If a game requires you to be too rough with your system, potentially damaging it and not making it as responsive for not only future attempts of a certain minigame, but also just other games on the system in general; that's not a well-thought out minigame. And if a game is too dependent on that feature or that control mechanic, something that could potentially short-out over time, then that is also a problem too and will affect your enjoyment of the game overall. So....agree to disagree on this one.
I think this game is really good and I’m glad they made a truly original portable Mario game. The mini games are pretty good in my opinion. The boards are ok, some neat concepts. The worst thing is the item balancing since golden pipes are far to broken due to their price and ease of access compared to the flutter orb/magic lamp.
A little mistake in goomba wranglers bombs don't decrease your score by half they explode half your goombas and if you have a golden goomba it may take 2 points more or less depending on if it was exploded or not
The lack of views on this video is really sad, it's a really good ranking video! While I didn't agree with some of these placements, still a valid list.
Love the list man! I would always hear like school yard rumours about cheep cheep chance online, like there was a way to tell from vibrations, or from how they react when you wait or just letting the timer go down ect ect. Worked about... 50% of the time. As randomness dictates hahaha. I love trace cadets which might be something no one else says, but yeah the pickiness of how it lets you pass or not is a bit much. If they made it lenient it would be less infuriating, plus you can sort of try speedrun strat some more precise cheap methods. I agree though, potential wasted. A game only this game could do because this game in 8 is... hmm.... The only one I disagree with is rail riders, top 10 game for me. Just ask my DS! ...I mean not right now, it's in the shop but... you know, when it's fixed.
Oh wow, a lot of my least favorite minigames were at the bottom- My least favorite mini-game is Soil Toil while my favorite is Boogie Beam (it has to constantly contend with Hedge Honcho, Camera Shy, Cube Crushers, and more; DS has some really awesome mini-games!) Awesome list though and I can agree with a lot of the mini-game placements here and why they're placed where they are
I still have the game. I still play it. It reminds me of the slumber party i had with some friends and we would do everything to make sure that the other one is loosing. It was a fun time back then when i was younger. ☺️
The last classic Mario Party developed by Hudson before the company bankrupted and ND Cube took over MP9 and the rest and the system of the game changed so much
RUclips putting this on my recommended because I recently 100%'d the game and needed to look up a secret achievement (The DK one) to get that board feature.
I personally really love Hexosekleton and Hammer Chime. They are my personal favorite minigames. But I respect your opinion. Also I hate book bash, I usually only beat Kamek with one life. I hate that mini game so much.
Something to note on Track Star. Whenever I'm the singleplayer on the third round chasing one of the three, it oddly skips my chance to catch them. Does anyone else have this happen?

Trace Cadets is hated by a lot of people and I could definitely see why. Also I never liked Soil Toil either the controls are horrible in that minigame.
Very great list, SlimKirby! I wanted to share a ranking list of this games mini-games of my own too, so here is my personal list! I only have gotten to the main party mode mini-games, the 4-player, 1 vs. 3, 2 vs. 2, and battle games.

They really went all out with the fact that the Mario Party cast have been shrunken down and it ironically expanded their creativity in the minigames

I’ve missed Mario Party DS. Good thing I never got rid of it.

Same. I actually got better at it when I got older.

At this Point I Honestly Think I'm the only one who actually LOVES Trace Cadets😅
Nope I love it too
I love it too its up there with Double Vision
I HATE that Mingame. However there are some minigames that are worse. Looking at you Book Bash.

@@epislog178 Oh yeah, Star Rush doesn’t have any Minigames that we have seen yet from any of the previous games so that one would be good to see too.

I like trace cadets, i found that drawing a bit under where you feel like you have to yields consistent results
I hope Mario party ds and island tour is will the mid tier Mario party games
All Geared Up is like a superior version of Awful Tower
