- Starland is losing all power! The Star Darlings start putting all the pieces together, trying to figure out who is causing this Negative Energy Crisis. Everything points to Lady Stella. But when they go to confront her, they realize that it’s actually Lady Cordial who’s behind it all. Now the Star Darlings must try and fight Lady Cordial. Will they finally take her down?

This is such a unique show with really beautiful animation, it’s such a shame that it didn’t even get a proper season 1. You have to watch a bunch of shorts, then read the books, which don’t even go by the same cannon as the show, but you have to read them anyways to understand the ending. I love the idea of having 12 main characters, and I think that the books did it really well, with each Star Darling having their own book so you could get to understand each character. The show didn’t do it as well, with several characters barely having any screen time. I’m pretty sure Astra only has one line in the entire show. I hope this show gets rebooted to get a proper season 1, as I would love to see it!
It’s so weird to me that they changed the plot so much in the show. They even changed the world building too.. like there’s sunlight and stuff in the books but it’s just always night in the web series. Also the change in personality for some of the girls (mostly Libby).. I really wish it was all done better.

@@angleleak Quite different. She’s not as hyper in the books, she’s calmer and more grounded. She’s incredibly kind and generous. She’s also always trying to please people - for example she used up almost all of her energy on her wish mission trying to keep her wisher happy instead of focusing on the main wish. She hates being mean, and is actually the first star darling to befriend Scarlet despite her loner attitude. She never babbles about boys or parties, afaik she doesn’t mention either in the books at all. She’s still ‘girly’ and her love of pink is still present, though it’s not as exaggerated as it is in the episodes.
I suppose for the show they wanted her to be the stereotypical bubbly hyper girly-girl, like a pinkie pie type character.

This series was pretty unique and I'm sad that they rushed and cancelled it.
Star Darlings was only available to watch through a special streaming service and they enforced that so hard that many people were unaware of the series. The art style was distinct, yet Disney rarely mentioned or promoted it outside of the service, so no one knew there was a special show on a special service that wasn't getting viewership.
The dolls had some problems, but only one wave was released (with basic and a few deluxe Disnet sets) and Disney didn't even try at merchandise again.
I wish I'd bought them all, but I didn't expect the show to be nuked off the Earth so swiftly. (I was hoping the next set would have the movable joints move.)
What was the special service? I know they had books in the bookstore and apparently they sold ok but yeah

I seriously don't know why this ended when it came out I was so excited, I was so young and loved it, reading the books after I watched the series. I practically loved it with my heart, seeing this again just brings back nostalgia and so many memories. All I want to do now, is go back in time. It’s so sad kids these days who are about five or six, seven or eight, won’t get to grow up with the 2000s and everything that made my childhood, great. There’s still younger kids in the comment section probably because they might rerunning it.
I like how Vega was the last one to strike at Rancora, and was the strongest to whipe her away.

Wow this last episode turned dark and emotional real quick! Finally! I was waiting for the action to happen and it finally happened in the last 3 episodes! I wish these episodes were longer and not just 1 minute or 6-9 min long. It’d be nice to see a 30-min episode series for Star Darlings. It deserves it that much. Plus the music is always a plus and I’m a sucker for upbeat positive strong girl power music! Let’s hope the next season will be actual 30-min episodes and not just clips.

Her powers and abilities are:
Positive wish energy manipulation: like all other starlings she can manipulate positive wish energy to do a variety of things.
Wish energy beam: she can project and shoot beams which are made up of very strong positive wish energy.
Telekinesis: she can manipulate positive wish energy to move things with her mind which is the most common power which starlings have.
Flight/Levitation: she can float or fly by manipulating wish energy in a certain way. she can also make other people fly by holding their hand as she demonstrated with cassie in rising starlings.
Mind reading:
Shield/barrier generation: she can concentrate positive wish energy to generate an impenetrable shield/barrier. she constantly used this power in the power of twelve to reflect and deflect attacks/beams from rancora. it seems this is her own unique power.

Because firstly, she haven’t gone to wishworld to accumulate enough wish energy, because she isnt a fully fledged and taught student about wish energy and power therefore they have a limit to their positive energy and can only rely on the positive energy stored within their wish pendent/accessory etc
This explains why she hasn’t been using it throughout the show because during that time they have only gone through SD training, not going to wishworld
This shows me that 1) you havent read all the books properly
2) you did not pay attention to when scarlet says “we do not have enough positive energy to battle her” which makes relevance to this limited wish energy power
3) they only get power at the end when discovering they can use their crystals
