That's ridiculous. It's not like they have a major scouting team. The better players seek out winning programs (especially in high school and college). They don't really need to recruit. They just develop their talent better. Prior to 2017, the last time Mater Dei had even won a section championship was 1999. Bosco has won maybe 3 section championships since 2010. This is not a dynasty; this is just their time. They will go though a lull just like every other football program.

Issue with Oregon football is the talent at these schools has no consistency, so when CC has the confidence to schedule SJB they usually aren't at the same level when it comes time to actually play them. Also the last time Oregon even had a team that could compete with a Cali team like Bosco was maybe Jesuit in 2015...Maybe
That Jesuit team was nice but they would have still lost by 21 at least. The talent gap is real between Oregon, hell most of the country, and the big boys in So Cal.
@@robdavis3967 I don't disagree, it was generous maybe... And I'm only really giving Jesuit any credit because they beat Justin Herbert twice that year.
Stop with all the gas. These Cali schools recruit the best youth athletes then unleash them, they don't coach them up. If you really look, the kids don't develop once they leave these programs. That's why the best talent in college and in the NFL that come out of Cali is the 2, 3, and 4 stars.
Your the smartest guy I have seen in these comments! Bosco is next man up. My son went there for 3 years and when he wanted to move position he was just passed by. He played left tackle at 6'4 235 which is not a LT in college. Especially when the guard next to him is at USC and is 350 at 6'8.

Teams in public schools get who happens to live inside of their school zone area…Don’t get me wrong there are some public schools who do recruiting too although they deny it, but those that are people know that they do many times it’s hard to prove… Nevertheless when you have players that are recruited they definitely have an advantage over people that don’t recruit and just play the people that happen to show up in their school district…
was that the CC JV team?
Would love to see CC Oregon take on some Nor Cal teams
WCAL schools and DLS never return phone calls when you try to schedule them. It's been a problem now for a while. They don't have the talent yet. Central Valley schools are always down to play. Central Catholic of Modesto will playing Bosco later this month.
@@ArryRedknappQPR dls has played some of the top teams in the country, Pitt just beat the #2 team in Nevada. Norcal definitely has the talent😂 this team wouldn't be top 5 in Norcal really not even top 10

they took a shine to their rump with this beat down... BUT... you gotta give them credit. teams that step up and want to truly measure "how good" your team is relative to a consistent powerhouse team like SJB or MD or IMG etc... i got mad respect for hosting them. now... the flip side of this is - you get a dose of reality in how bad you really are relative to top select talent teams like this, and the negative impact it can have season long for the mindset of young players... it may not be the best dose of medicine to give a kid unless you have a qualified staff of folks who can truly work with these young athletes after this to build them back up again.
Central catholic from 4 years ago would of been better
MD will destroy SJB
Didn't central Catholic watch past films on UTR of st John Bosco , knowing what they up against... Side note , I rather see St John Bosco vs Chandler high
Yeah they did it’s not about the W
Central has played ST John Bosco 3 times already over the years.
I’m not sure what Bosco is trying to prove? We all know what they are about. They’ve gone and recruited the best ballers in the state of California. Cool. Feel good beating down all the states who simply are recruiting the best in their NEIGHBORHOODS! Lol
For real, it aint even fair 🤣
That's ridiculous. It's not like they have a major scouting team. The better players seek out winning programs (especially in high school and college). They don't really need to recruit. They just develop their talent better. Prior to 2017, the last time Mater Dei had even won a section championship was 1999. Bosco has won maybe 3 section championships since 2010. This is not a dynasty; this is just their time. They will go though a lull just like every other football program.
Most top teams don't want to play them either. No one wants to lose in the beginning of the season but these smaller teams get some exposure. Even if it's a bea down.
@@MD-qz1wx Bosco and the Mater Dei's and ANY program that has the staying power they do RECRUIT! My son was being talked to in the 7th grade and then 8th grade and we knew he was going to SJB. SJB has Alumni and Boosters that love to WIN so they help kids and families to be able to afford to go them schools. 13,000 dollars to go to Bosco and most of them kids never lived in Bellflower.
@@jamestheorine3510 I don't doubt that they recruit. I doubt that they recruit as much as everyone thinks they do....2 or 3 players maybe. I would hope that what you say about boosters and alums helping is not true because that's a CIF rule violation regarding Undue Influence....."“Undue influence is any act, gesture or communication (including accepting material or financial inducement to attend a CIF member school for the purposes of engaging in CIF competition regardless of the source)...which includes no scholarships, loans, or gifts from boosters or alumni
Bosco should have sent their JV team. Would have been an entertaining game. 👍
Is Portland oregon Jesuit still a good program ?.
central catholic is better than Jesuit by far but Cali teams just different
What about beaverton or Redmond programs ?.
This was a huge mismatch for Central Catholic but props to them for still scheduling them
It’s been a stupid mismatch for every state. I’m not sure what Bosco is trying to prove? We all know what they are about. They’ve gone and recruited the best ballers in the state of California. Cool. That game was an unofficial visit by the Ducks. Nice move
does sjb not have the two qbs anymore?
Issue with Oregon football is the talent at these schools has no consistency, so when CC has the confidence to schedule SJB they usually aren't at the same level when it comes time to actually play them. Also the last time Oregon even had a team that could compete with a Cali team like Bosco was maybe Jesuit in 2015...Maybe
That Jesuit team was nice but they would have still lost by 21 at least. The talent gap is real between Oregon, hell most of the country, and the big boys in So Cal.
Bosco in 2015 was stacked lol
@@robdavis3967 I don't disagree, it was generous maybe... And I'm only really giving Jesuit any credit because they beat Justin Herbert twice that year.
Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth
I bet 500.00 dollars Buford Highschool in Ga beats St. John Bosco’s ASS
But I guarantee ya THEY WONT EVER PLAY BUFORD because their SCARED
Bruh STFU and take your meds
Can we get Bosco vs USC and UCLA vs Mater Dei, thanks.
Stop with all the gas. These Cali schools recruit the best youth athletes then unleash them, they don't coach them up. If you really look, the kids don't develop once they leave these programs. That's why the best talent in college and in the NFL that come out of Cali is the 2, 3, and 4 stars.
look i would agree with u but i just bryce young lead a game winning drive on texas
Your the smartest guy I have seen in these comments! Bosco is next man up. My son went there for 3 years and when he wanted to move position he was just passed by. He played left tackle at 6'4 235 which is not a LT in college. Especially when the guard next to him is at USC and is 350 at 6'8.
@@thekingofutube9328 Bama qbs are known to be bad on the next level so we'll see how that works out (I'm rooting for the kid actually). My point is that year in and year out these mostly same 2 teams 'dominate' everyone so where are their Dawgs at on the next level? Davante Adams is arguably the best receiver in the league and he's from Cali. Guess he wasn't good enough at the time for them to pursue. Just saying it's a big difference in being able to recruit and coach.
@Kamy Willthank you for proving my point, genius.
SJB is scheduled to play against my local corn man and a couple of his buddies next.
That may be the first time in almost forever that a Portland school is the best in football in the state, Portland schools usually suck in football compared to Southern Oregon
portland schools have been winnin the title since the early 2000’s bruh what

The Suburban League used to be good and St John Bosco not so good. What happened? Is the Suburban League still going?
I still don’t understand why kids who r low ranked end up being better in the NFL tho
🤷♂️ like what’s up with that
Idk why Oregon thought they stood a chance lmao should've went for a lower level cali team like Warren
Warren does have a top QB in the country. If not #1 but your right Bosco is a different animal. Try and beat the rest of the Trinity League before you get handled by #1.

100 % correct its the high school version of pwi's vs hbcu's when i played public schools were loaded with talent as was hbcu's it's called the trickled down effect even in youth football and sports in general when it comes to black athletes
Bishop Gorman same thing. I thought they were a new school based on not hearing about their football team until about 15 years ago, but come to find out they were around since at least the 1960s. I used to live in Vegas in the 90s too and I never heard of them back then.

2015 SJB went 2 oregon and beat these guys with a similar score idk why both teams thought they should play again... Best player 4 CC went down early in the first Q they did not have much of a chance 2 begin with but that was the nail in the coffin. Bosco will lose against MD if the QB has a bad game Elijah brown has looked better then him so far imo
that game was a mop up in 2015... tbh
Common things about west coast teams that they all run by poly players. Mostly Samoans n Tongans
Yup, and at least some blacks for speed. Hawaii football has a lot of Polys too but we lack blacks so we're never going to have that much speed and cannot compete with teams with speed.
Arrogant people in sports.

do you guys know that bosco has the NIL in play. so when you talk about boosters paying tuition it almost doesnt matter anymore these young men are getting paid by sponsors. now the crazy thing is that they are getting these players from all over california not even the community. pretty sad its a meat market but to each his own. what always baffled me is that its a catholic school and the catholic part does not play a part in it. some of these player families get housing cars and even money we are back to square one sometimes programs get caught and when the noise calms down its back to buisness as usual. but for the inner city kids i have one thing to say dont be used get your education while your at it guys if they going to pay for it take advantage of it and dont let the game use you use the game to get what you need and want guys. im from the inner city and i support these players that have been taken careof what i dont support is that when things dont pan out to what they should be these players are no use to them so guys please be smart and at least get your education
Oregon way to small and got no skill players
Atp this is starting to get boring. I say only show Mater Dei, SJB, IMG etc if they either get upset or actually play a good school. Its just not exciting watchin them beat up on school when you can tell the outcome most of the time from the first couple of plays. Like everyone else says I do give props to the public school that actually play these private school power houses.

@Kamy Will what the hell are you talking about that’s every including my state of Florida. So yes that includes your Cali schools and your delusional if your think Cali private schools don’t recruit.
@Kamy Will emotion? dude calm down were just having a convo its not that serious lol I get it believe me I do. Because nobody has ever come back from a 28-0 deficit? It was only the 2nd quarter, CC are defending state champions. There is a reason most states have a running clock being up at a certain score, its not 28 points.
