Their pre-roll self promotion ads made it clear they were preparing for selling ads at some point.

How does Alex make that beautiful blurred background without all the digital noise around the subject?

If you mean Alex L. He does it the old fashioned way...optics no green screen! Uses camera with great depth of field aka an adjustable lens.

Concerning the conversation about holding on to RUclips vs. other streaming services. Over the last couple of decades broadcast TV shows have consistently shown little regard for the viewers. Seasons of TV shows have gone from 22-24 episodes for a season to the micro seasons of 6-8. They take forever to produce and then come and go so quickly that it is ridiculous. As a viewer I cut that cord and turned to RUclips to follow normal people who put out interesting content and don’t cheat the viewer like the big studios and companies do. This doesn’t even bring in the price hikes that are crazy high. All in all, I would rather watch a guy walking the streets of Toronto who puts out great content, then a big broadcast studio who puts out 6-8 cheap seasonal episodes and then takes a year and a half to create more content. Just my opinion.
