I'm absolutely loving mine I have the crawler gears and high speed PN motor 63T can see it in action on my shorts. Awesome review I had the same label issue
Thanks for this vid. I have a stock Bronco and the the slow crawl gear set that I haven't installed yet. I appreciate seeing the way the 63 turn motor ran with those gears and am excited to be heading in that direction with mine!
If going for mostly slow crawl the 90T is actually slower and better control. The stock trans gears didn't help it in this test. The higher the turn number the slower the motor 👍.
Great video. I have been researching brushed options for the 4m the past few days. I have been using my hightrail to pull my bronco build on a trailer. We are lucky to have vehicles and parts options coming out weekly lately!
I would like to see these two motors on an FCX24. I'm using a 180 motor from an old eletric razor and it has the same slow crawl speed as the original 130 and much better full trottle.
The main parameters we looked at were to maintain mostly the same speeds with stock gearing but with more torque for heavier rigs with the 90T motor. When paired with the crawler gears the 90T would provide a much more controlled crawl than the 63T could but the 63T can provide a much better top end with stock gears and balanced crawl with top end with crawler gears. It was a happy medium type of deal since we don't have the advantage of brushless control. These motors rely on their ability to provide better bang for the buck than other offerings while providing better quality (ball bearings, rebuildable, modifiable), and ability to use stock. If going for the best slow speed definitely pair the 90T with crawler gears, just don't expect much top end speed when doing so 👍.
Yeah that’s why I definitely wasn’t going with the 90t and crawler gears. It would be too little wheel speed for me personally unless I’m swapping to an esc that can run 3s lol. The fact these motors can be tuned alone puts them ahead of any other motor out there though.
@@2fmrcI was going to mention the 3s thing but was worried someone would plug in stock esc and blame me for it😅. But yes, definitely would love the extra voltage!😈
@@GamyrcI run crawler gears, 3s and a 10 scale ESC on mine. The stock motor really has so much more than the stock ESC could give it. But I'm very interested in one of these motors on my setup
@@reprieverc PN went with the thickest gauge winding possible that would fit the 90 turns. That will give you a lot more security when it comes to running at 3s because it will keep temps down as compared to a lower grade motor. It also gets you a lot more torque as it will make better use of the amperage running through it so I don't think you will be disappointed with it 👍.
I love watching your videos and upgrades on all your builds. Have you tried the new gears from Meus racing? They have a 25.1 instead of the crawler 40:1. Its a great inbetween gear set and i mixed it with the injora pro purple motor on my k10. Just a thought if you havent tried it yet. I think it makes the truck way more drivable all around.
Which motor or anything would put say can make the fastest wheel speed. I want to make a speed racer, have you tested the FASTEST motors? Nevermind crawling.

Awesome Matt, appreciate you sharing I got one in my cart for 90 turn with the high speed brushes

That's sweet. Great thinking

I like the tires so many now days hard to keep up with🔥🔥🔥😎👍
I put an injora motor in my trx4m and my esc shot fire balls out the bottom. I’m scared to do any upgrades after that.
Typical traxxas electronics, go brushless!
Yeah the stock esc really is trash lol
Nice motors ...... wrong truck .
And people think it’s okay that traxxas puts shit electronics in every one of there vehicles 3:32
Same people that praise every new axial release while their electronics get worse and worse also 🤷🏻♂️
A stock 4m with crawler gears is really not that bad. It’s only a $5 upgrade that makes a huge difference
