hello there, I have a vester guitar I have had for at least 3 decades, just trying to find out a little info on the specs. it is plain black and looks like your white/cream maniac series guitar, though there is some difference, first is the serial number is engraved on the headstock, the second is the headstock only says vester, third is the plate at the back where the neck attaches to the body has a black plate with vester engraved. the details I know is, the body is solid wood, but not sure what wood it is. btw great collection.
wow nice collection Phil sir,my dad had acquired a cadmium yellowish metallic vestor stage series 3 guy owed him $50 for 25yrs. guitar was barely played when he got it,and he was also given a crate 110 amp the guy won over the radio, one of your vestors I believe is the same color.
Hey Richard, thanks man! They are great guitars! I don't have any stage series vesters though. So maybe it looks similar, or yours isn't a stage series. haha... :-D
Wow! I've just bought my 2nd Vester, in Australia, last weekend. Awesome set neck SG. Got it from a Drummer. Had to offer more $ to get it. Still really cheap tho. Stoked! 1st was a beat up Catalina / Strat with an excellent Rosewood fret board, for under $100 Australian. Great Guitars!
Wow, I am in a state of absolute envy! Wonderful collection! Thanks very much for posting this. Back in the mid- 80's, I bought a candy apple red Vester II Maniac series guitar and I simply love it. I came with a crappy bridge though, so I replaced that with an Ibanez Floyd Rose number that I'd purchased for a custom I was building (that one is still ''waiting'' in a cardboard box in my basement). I really didn't mount it properly though, using spacers and such to elevate the bridge and the guitar's neck for clearance, intending to have someone do proper "cutaway" work on it later (it was, after all, an experiment of sorts) - and so it remains to this day. Feels and sounds great as is, so there's been no rush to 'fix' it, though I'm sure it would feel much much better if the bridge was properly inlaid; one of these days... By the way, back then the 24 fret neck was something of a rarity, as were the deep beveled cutaways in the horns and back ... Anyway, I wouldn't sell it at any price (Any advice on how or where to get the work done without spending a fortune would be much appreciated! I'm in Ontario, Canada, by the way)
Hey dude, not a problem. I have a big-ish Vester collection so thought I would share. And we'll if anyone need any info on them I can maybe help. I have 1 other guitar with that style of beveled cutaway. Well i think it does. lol... Off the top of my head I think it's a Washburn KC-30. I've kept the original Vester stamped floyd on some of my models. Others have been replaced by actual 'Floyd Rose' trems. I haven't played any of these live yet. Too many guitars (is that even a thing). I tend to stick with my Schecter's for live performances. But they will be working their way into our set soon. Especially the double neck!
I had a Vester II maniac series in white identical to yours. It also had some cracking paint. Found it in a pawn shop and had never heard of Vester but I had to have that guitar. Thanks for the video

It has an internal pickup and slotted grooves in the body where the neck pickup would normally be. It's pretty cool but cant find any info on it. Or any pics of the same guitar. Any suggestions?

Wow what a treat! I have only two Vesters. An active bass and an HSS Strat style electric. Neither are much more than basic level guitars. Nothing like what you have. Maybe someday. Thanks for sharing such an awesome collection
mrgitarman Hey dude, no problem. Yea the upper level Vester guitars are great! I got one by chance, then carried on from there! My main guitars for live are Schecter, though I have many brands. :-)
The first electric guitar I ever got was a Vester Maniac. I still have it. Its quite heavy though but it sounds amazing. The action is amazing. The neck is a bit too thin (Jackson like) for my liking. But an amazing guitar. I have lent it to my nephew as he is starting to learn to play.
Vester fan here to! Do you by any chance have a diagram for the electronics on the maniac 2? It has been torn apart in mine. Some photos or anything would be of great help! Can't find it anywhere...

I have a Vester stage series guitar in arrow shape but im going to restore it because pickups and electronic parts are too old and i need to replace it . I dont really know how good is it because i got it by giving some weed to a guy. The guitar is from the late 80´s in a rare red colour and is not a V shape , it has the upper tail longer than the other and a backplate that says "presented by Saehan guitar technology" and it fits 2x double hambucker. I would like to know if somebody knows something about it . Its a good looking guitar and really light weight.Im gonna enjoy it for sure but i want to know if its good or bad because if its a good guitar i would buy a good pair of pickups but if is not...i wont. Your collection is amazing those guitars look so good and well built.
Hey dude, I can only speak of my Vesters guitars. And they are great. They had budget models to, the stage series amoung others. I would upgrade a bit in that guitar but not to much. If memory serves me right its just a standard trem, not floyd rose. Right? Is it a stage series?
Cool seeing these guitars again. Worked in the family music store a few years selling vesters including these models. Still gotta red JSE750 (HSS superstrat with a floyd), were several others I liked especially the 770 which was same as mine but active electronics n each pickup could be turned on induvidually.
Phil Fate There was a couple I remember from the store, we only ever got in 1 of each, 1 was a white fretless bass with white trim the other was a handmade acoustic. If I could borrow Peter Capaldi's big blue box to go back to 1989 I'd be picking up both of those.
Hey! About 5 years ago, I was in Poland, and in an advertisement I saw a Vester guitar, I bought it. She has the rare Tiger Stripes livery - like the guitarist of Dokken. Have you seen such a modification of Vester?

Hi dude. Really nice collection. Was wondering if you know much about the Tradition S type. Just got one and it’s really sweet, bit roadworn which is cool. Do you know if it’s a nitro finish or where if could get some more info? Been looking everywhere without finding much on the Tradition.
Hey Peter. I have a white Vester Tradition. If you look on facebook there are a couple of pages. One of them has some info about a good few Vesters. Wood Types etc etc... :-)
Hey my son and I are refinishing an old Vester 2 maniac (I think that’s the model) and lost the photos I took of the wiring. We’ve tried local luthiers to help us get it figured out but nobody can seem to help. We replaced pickups with Emg SA and 81 humbucker and just can’t get it back to playing.... is there any way you would be able to help out somehow in how to get it wired back up?
Hey dude! These guitars are essentially worth what someone wants to pay really. I've paid £550 pounds for one, because I really wanted it! Aslong as its good condition i guess the £350 area or so is ok. Probably worth more tbh. Again, worth what the highest bidder wants to pay. 🙂 I hope that helps man.
Hell yeah man! I have a blue JAR1400 (MDBL) model and it sounds way better than my Jackson Soloist. I paid 100$ for it too. You have an amazing collection dude!
Hey Phil Fate, i have the exact same as your yellow banana, got any idea of what kind of model or anything it is? about to get mine restored, pretty worn out.
I have the same guitar and same colour. It’s a great guitar. I have seen advertisement pictures online saying the model is a ve130 and seen another exact same advert saying jjr1030, so I just call it a 1030. I believe it was made in 1993
Coolman ! glad you posted this, I have a stage series strat with strat styled head, plywood body but has an immaculate tone you can see why fender tried suing vester.

yikes nice axes, i used to own a all white vester it was a super strat , i think the fret board was some kinda plastic ,is that a quest guitar on your wall?
Hey Dave, I have a few more Vesters since this video. Lol... Yes I've saw one of them for sale before on eBay. 🙂 No Quest, but I had looked at them before. It's possibly the Vox whiteshadow you saw in the video. Similar funky look. 😀
Awesome collection man, really love it! I own a vester stage series and I know nothing about it. It's in pretty rough condition and I was wondering if you know good replacement parts for the tremolo and the locking saddle thing. Also, need to replace all the wiring and electronics.
Hey man, cheers! I'm guessing you have an old floyd on your stage series. If try fix it up as cheap as possible. The stage series was the more basic series, so I wouldn't put to much money into it. The wiring I'm sure could be fixed if not working. It could be the jack or even a volume knob. The floyd parts (if old style floyd) may be traceble on ebay. They tend to work more like a standard trem tbh. So you know what model it is? There are a few facebook groups and pages you can post to. I'm Normanton floating about them. 🙂
Do you have any experience with the Catalina strat (1991)? Heard that the neck wasn't that comfy... Have found one I'm thinking of buying and restoring.
my dad brought me a 2nd hand guitar and at first it was unplayable but i have it set up then it says vester L-N it has single single and a humbucker pickup then the bridge was a standard electric guitar not a floyd bridge then i guess the neck was taken cause it said sonata pro ii SL series 😅😅
these guitars are great man...i have a strat flying v from vester and it's just amazing...but i don't know why are they so low priced ...if u know something ,can u explain me pls ?
Hey man, I am jealous of your V! haha... Their guitars vary in cost. From what research I've done they ranged from around $200 to $1200 back in 94. You can grab a bargain now as not alot if people know much about them. Those who do tend to charge more, and I have paid it. Only because I know the guitars are great. My collection has come from all over the world. And if I find more that I like, I'll pay what I have to (within reason). lol...
I wish I could find them used at all much less cheap where I live. Only place I can find them is evilbay where they end up in dubious condition selling for several times what msrp was in the 80's
Howdy! The majority of mine have Gotoh tuners. Some of them even have Gotoh Floyd rose systems. Like many guitar brands there are the cheaper range. But they have some great guitars out there. 😀
@@Philfate81 Vester were a Korean production. I bought it in 1991 during the years of production. maybe you bought it updated, or you updated it yourself, i don't know. No Quest, but I had looked at them before.
Unfortunately that's one I haven't played. I have a tradition strat, though it looks the same I'm not sure if they actually feel the same. Sorry! 😕
Imagine a double neckthru crackle, the ultimate vester lol. I have a red maniac 1987 strat that is really nice.
Now that would be epic dude. Lol...
@@Philfate81 it probably exists late 80s was a crazy time
my dad brought me a 2nd hand guitar and at first it was unplayable but i have it set up then it says vester L-N it has single single and a humbucker pickup then the bridge was a standard electric guitar not a floyd bridge then i guess the neck was taken cause it said sonata pro ii SL series 😅😅
B tardes. Tengo una vester del 87 "tipo les paul" color blanco crema
¿Te interesa para tu colección??
Gracias
these guitars are great man...i have a strat flying v from vester and it's just amazing...but i don't know why are they so low priced ...if u know something ,can u explain me pls ?
Hey man, I am jealous of your V! haha... Their guitars vary in cost. From what research I've done they ranged from around $200 to $1200 back in 94. You can grab a bargain now as not alot if people know much about them. Those who do tend to charge more, and I have paid it. Only because I know the guitars are great. My collection has come from all over the world. And if I find more that I like, I'll pay what I have to (within reason). lol...
thanx very much man...can i add you on facebook ?
+angelo cajku No problem buddy...
I wish I could find them used at all much less cheap where I live. Only place I can find them is evilbay where they end up in dubious condition selling for several times what msrp was in the 80's
Yea some of them are overpriced on ebay. Thought I tend to try and stick with the upper priced models. :-)
I have one, vested argus series
I have a Vester 335. Bought it new in 84.
Wow that's awesome! 😀
@@Philfate81 i have a tobacco burst 335 in really good condition. sounds great.
Nice guitars, I had one, but the hardware was too soft and the bridge, headstock mechanics and screws wore out after a few years
Anyway, the body is still fantastic, the neck straight, despite years in the cellar without a case, But the hardware I threw it away. I hope to update it
@@kempguitar6235 morning dude! Yea I'm know all their history. Among many guitars I have 16 Vesters. 🙂 Nope, some of the custom & limited edition guitars came with Gotoh Floyd's & tuners. 🙂
@@Philfate81 I Have this one ruclips.net/video/Od4CUZHh7zM/видео.html but a different series: "concert series II" probably the cheapest version. "humbucker and headstock similar to Jackson's solo. The guitar I learned to play with. it will upgraded. enjoy this beauty collection
