Love the editing of showing the interview and then switching to you talking.
I totally agree with the desperate enough. I remember when I got started online in the late 90s with my day job at a fast food restaurant. I had a sign over my bed that said "Work harder, this is all you have". I wouldn't allow myself to go to bed until I was exhausted. It was that drive that set me up for success later in life.
Now I'm retired with enough money to cover my bills, food in my fridge and no financial worries. I'm far from rich, but I am comfortable. My main focus is enjoying the time I have on earth even though I earn far less. In 2013, I left a corporate job as a VP where I earned $300k per year to do create a start up which totally flopped. I earned less in all of 2023 as a content creator than I would have made in a week in my VP day to me it's worth it as I enjoy the journey.

Knowing our 'why' is certainly the number 1 question. From it you can answer everything else.
Emilia is both experienced and perceptive. She doesn't miss much. It made her interviews, as with this one, so relevant for today as much as when it went out.

Totally agreed. I was impressed by the level of depth she was able to go to.

Burn out can happen easily, as we simply follow the expectations and demands of others, instead of working for what we truly want and are meant for. I like the workbook called 30 Days to Discover Who I Am by Harper Daniels for learning mindfulness.

Was this a recent interview? It was great to see and hear her voice again, and an interesting discussion. Thanks for sharing.
But I haven't seen her online for a long time. Was it in your backlog?

I can totally relate to this and your situation. I always seem to perform at my best when my back is against the wall and I have to fight for survival. Once a earn a few quid the foot comes of the gas. Because the work is easy to me I don't value it as much as I should. i love your honesty and I'm sure you'll reach your goals for yourself and your family

Thanks a lot. And then it becomes self destructive and you end up always at the “not quite succeeding” point again.

I see timeular cube at your desk. You still used it? It better that timeflip2?

    •  6 месяцев назад +1

They are pretty similar. Timeular is better build quality and I prefer the app. The issue is that it only works with a subscription so currently I’m not using it.

We all have our own skills and education, but seriously we are not desperate for certain choices.etc
We will leave immigrants do that as taking most free things in uk

    •  9 месяцев назад +1

I understand that the topic of immigration and resource distribution is complex and can evoke strong feelings. It's important to recognize that many immigrants come to the UK seeking safety, better opportunities, or to be closer to family. Their contributions to the economy, society, and cultural diversity are significant. While we all have unique skills and education, creating a society that values inclusivity and provides opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background, enriches us all.
