Yeah, but the thing is that I have bought this thanks to the episode (it's like $6), and there is *nowhere* on the main menu to enter in the key you get.
It's easy to write off Arin's remark as him being typical ignorant Arin, but unlocking it as the full version is beyond the intellect of an actual human. He probably DID buy the full version, but there's nowhere to invoke it.
He probably bought it, then downloaded the free version (which you're supposed to put a reg key in afterwards, I think).
I would love to see a GG animated of this with Dan as an adorable 7 year-old, haphazardly running around the soccer field; and Arin, yelling from the sidelines soccer-mom style

I bought this game thanks to this episode, and there is nowhere on the menu to put in a registration key. I don't see GG ever coming back to this game because if there's any sort of puzzle to registering the software, they're gonna get frustrated and throw it out.

Ooh. No. I found it. At the bottom of the main menu where it says "Connecting to server", it eventually changes to a text box that asks for a ten-digit key.
So registration of this software is dependent on waiting. Game Grumps are equally screwed.

I'd love it if in actual soccer, whenever there's a time out or a goal is scored, everyone immediately stops and aggressively makes t-poses as the crowd cheers and the ball is retreived and reset.

Ren They said all the way back Shovel Knight SoT that they have reasons for not continuing DP. They said it would take too much time to do because of sidequests to get stronger. Also they don't read comments.
"Side quests to get stronger?" The game is piss easy. The director didn't even want combat in it from the start, so for the director's cut version, he just reduced combat difficulty to trivial amounts. Pretty much nobody will find a hard time with that game, side quests or no.
