That dually swap came out looking pretty sweet Sam! It’s nice seeing the 04 getting some attention and love. Definitely a ripper and looking forward to seeing it do some heavy towing in the future.
The flares look awesome, much better than a regular dually bed. Disconnecting the sway bar links will allow the axle to drop a little bit more. It helps a lot when working alone.
On my rear springs I took out 2 of those small spacers on the bottom and moved them to the top of the leaf pack. By doing so it lowered the back without having to change anything else. A Riv-nut kit is one of the must haves for any shop. In some cases nothing else could do the job.
I put a flat bed & duals on my 04 F250. Towing is super stable, added overload bags. Still need to change the front wheels to offset hubs & it needs a front leveling kit.
I recently found your channel and i cant stop watching your content and this dually conversion is like my drug watching diy stuff like this is so awesome anything that has to do with custom builds are just awesome and its got me literally looking into youtube for more why i dont know i already have a dually and now i want a long bed to make into a dually
Just got confirmation my 40ft fmax 216 will be at dealer this Friday and I can pickup on Monday! Thx for all your content. Def helped me pick my final product!! I ordered in march it’s been a long wait but the time has come. So hype.
Nice job! I turned a chevy 2500 into a dually with a bolt on wheel assembly and bolt on flares. Worked well, but in the long run it robbed some power and miles from it.
That is an awesome job i have a 2012 .4th jen 3500 SRW and am won'ting to convert to DRW but hear in NW FLORIDA it's impossible to find parts for this conversion I'll keep looking awesome videos i have followed you for years keep them coming God bless you and stay safe out there 🙋♂️ 🇬🇧
I think ram 🐏 should have put those fenders on the new trucks 🚚. The old 70s ram 🐏 trucks had small rear dually rear fenders. Reminds me of the old days. She is looking good 👍. Keep up the great work.
Change the gauge lights to white leds from super bright leds, and it will change the green to blue. I found it to be easier on the eyes especially at night.
Almost looks like the front wheels could be spaced out a pinch more to match how the dual tires fill out the flares, but that's my OCD 🤣! Turnt out damn good Sam, you guys nailed er.
I tell you a trend here in the south east, take dually adapters off the front to run a normal front wheel. They use 255/80-17 tires on the back and 285/70-17 on the front. Little extra traction on the front.
The front axle is the same on a single wheel as is a dually. Same goes for the rear axle minus, the hubs and axle shaft. In my opinion that would have been less work to swap hubs and shafts then pull the whole axle its self and deal with. When I converted my truck, I wish I would have thought about the mega cab flairs though! That would have been so much easier. They are easier to find, easier to paint, and easier to install then a whole new bed! Good job!
My dads Cummins had 4:10s and I think it was like 2300-2400 running 75-80 and funny thing is his was like the rearend that come out and it spins both tires like it’s posi
A single wheel 3500 is not a 1 ton. It is a joke. Only duallies are a true 1 ton. I have 2 07 duallies and I've wondered about these mega cab dually flares and how they fit. I like the reduced blind spot
I have always owned 3500 Dodge 4x4 since 91, but single rear tires. I pull heavy with my 04.5 and wouldn’t want duals ever. If I found a nice dually I would definitely take it to single rear. In snow they plain suck, when you need tires you spend a lot more, in mud they suck, at drive up windows they suck, the plus’s are definitely not worth it to me. I pull a 24,000 GVW gooseneck and run 35’s. On my 91 if I still had it I would remove springs and install airbags. It rode awful but I real liked that truck. I really never liked the look but different strokes for different folks.
Good work! Maybe CP Steve never ran the wedge/shim on his swap. Might be why he has consistently had driveline issues and carrier bearing blow outs. ?? Good shiz
The bearings have been due to a bad driveshaft that launched itself on the highway. The new driveshaft has been ok overall with the bearing it has as he runs a cheap one. Think he did talk about the driveline vibration and the angle being off in another video as he is a 4x4 with a rwd axles swap.
The mega cab flares are money. I love how that turned out.
That dually swap came out looking pretty sweet Sam! It’s nice seeing the 04 getting some attention and love. Definitely a ripper and looking forward to seeing it do some heavy towing in the future.
Whoever thumbs down this video wish they can dually swap their Prius 😂
That thang look fancy now!! I never thought about the difference in dually flares until this video, and those mega cab dually ones look so much better
Right! Way cleaner look glad I held out for mega flares
Have always been a fan of the Mega Cab flares vs the regular super poofy dually bedsides. Looks good Sam!
The flares look awesome, much better than a regular dually bed. Disconnecting the sway bar links will allow the axle to drop a little bit more. It helps a lot when working alone.

@@dixiemae5042 a binge worthy channel for sure
Great job, but man the front wheel fitment needs some help. Spacers, new wheels, or pop the flares off.
Definitely have to agree with you. Rear end looks amazing....I’d either keep the front flares and add spacers or rip the front flares off completely!!
I really wish i had this this guys energy.
Me too. I have to find motivation to to an oil change lol
@@mwilliamshs interesting. I wonder how youd feel after a good back injury and 20 years of pain killers. Get back to me.
@@OnefastAZfarmtruck i know the feeling. I blame a lack of a garage on my lack of work.
You should get another right side fender flare for the left side so you can get rid on that gas door dent in the flare
I have been trying to imagine how it was going to look but that looks way better than I was thinking love it !!
Just got confirmation my 40ft fmax 216 will be at dealer this Friday and I can pickup on Monday! Thx for all your content. Def helped me pick my final product!! I ordered in march it’s been a long wait but the time has come. So hype.

best dually fenders ever made, i wish they would still use them on the newer trucks.
I have always like the smaller fenders. Looks good
Looks awesome! I had always liked those dually flares much more.
Those flares should have been on all the trucks! Love the look.
What a improvement. The stance is perfect IMO. Well done.
Hey Sam, a bit of paint in the bed holes be for you put the metal plug in them would help a long way with the bed rust. The truck looks awesome now!
I don’t know why you need ANOTHER dually, but she does look really good!! 👍🏻
Awesome work you two 💪🏻👍🏻 she looks so much better !
I have to get me the same spring compressor 🧐👌🏻
ALWAYS preferred the mega cab flares! Much cleaner look. No need for the whole bedside to be flared out. The first gen flares were mint also
I think ram 🐏 should have put those fenders on the new trucks 🚚. The old 70s ram 🐏 trucks had small rear dually rear fenders. Reminds me of the old days. She is looking good 👍. Keep up the great work.
I used to see the gray truck that bed came off of all the time at the track in Lakeport small world lol
Mega cab flares definitely hit the spot on that truck. I smell a new dump trailer hauler in this truck
Black flares, black rockers, black grill, Yeah Buddy!
Change the gauge lights to white leds from super bright leds, and it will change the green to blue. I found it to be easier on the eyes especially at night.
I think you do need the 6 inch spacers. That truck looks GOOD
Well done, looks awesome 😎 thanks for sharing Sam👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Ken! Hey I forgot did you get a new bed for your 7.3?
Still looking, found a lot of junk and a lot of long beds and ext.cab beds. Mine is an 02 crew cab short bed. Let me know if you find on.
Almost looks like the front wheels could be spaced out a pinch more to match how the dual tires fill out the flares, but that's my OCD 🤣! Turnt out damn good Sam, you guys nailed er.
Looks great, sounds good, should serve your needs well
Looking good can't wait to see if cruising through town
Looks good. Take the fender flares off the front and don’t forget to double check those u bolts
Definitely needs that 2" spacer up front to be complete! Other than that it's perfect!
Agreed. I was going to put them on but never got around to it. I’ll try Them out sometime soon
Was thinking the exact same thing. Other than that. It looks great.
The truck came out badass! I now know what i need to do on my 03 3500 got a vibration at 70-75 time for shim swap in the rear axle
That truck looks good. After seeing that rear fender those fit that style good
she came out Purrttyyy Sam, nice work! Shame what cali is doing to all your Diesel engines, send those rust free babies east for top dollar!!
Have you ever thought about a low profile service box? Your work is awesome as ever!
Did a mighty fine job 😎

My bad, just noticed the 19.5s
I hope it turns out well when you fill in the fender flare spot for the gas cap.
That’s a really nice truck it has more use out of it having a dually swap.
Love it Dude, feels like a 1st gen nod. Know your roots 👍🏼
Absolutely loved the way this dually turned out 🤘🏼🤘🏼
That is one beautiful Stormtrooper truck! I love it.
😂😂
Wow. Jaw-dropping, this thing looks GOOD!
The way you started that fire
The 04 is looking 🔥
In my 05 it's the same thing never made sense. I was told to go check with a rear end shop and get a limited slip from a Chevy for about 200
Looks great man, just gotta wire up your marker lights on the fenders and she'll be done
That looks amazing with the megaflare
If you decide to paint the truck, wallys fenders I think has the mega cab flairs with out the gas cut out. $900 for the pair.
The front axle is the same on a single wheel as is a dually. Same goes for the rear axle minus, the hubs and axle shaft. Yeah I wanted the whole
Rear end for the limited slip and thank you
U need to hook up the side markers as well
It sure is sweet!
I have no idea what anyone could possibly “pick apart” about this. That truck looks sick.
Haters gonna hate i guess.
The looks awesome especially with the fender flares
I’m surprised you have not put a Lift in your shop
Nice! I also have a 3rd gen 3500 SRW but short bed. I plan to do the same.
My dads Cummins had 4:10s and I think it was like 2300-2400 running 75-80 and funny thing is his was like the rearend that come out and it spins both tires like it’s posi
She come out looking good
It’s something how the mega cab fenders look like shit on a short box but on a long box 👌🏼
A single wheel 3500 is not a 1 ton. It is a joke. Only duallies are a true 1 ton. I have 2 07 duallies and I've wondered about these mega cab dually flares and how they fit. I like the reduced blind spot
Looks good, turn in them steering stops. To bad you couldn’t find a fender without the fuel cap “dent”.
Check McMaster carr for rivenuts. They have every size, also they typically deliver next day.. nice video, truck looks badass.
This is awesome! Very nice look.
We call them spring center bolts on big trucks.
Good evening, looking great, from Canada
I wanted to dually swap my 2020 short bed and thought of using the old style fender flares
I’d put your single wheel fronts back on. I like when they put single wheel front on a dually makes them look fat and tough in the front also
That's a good looking truck damn
Just gotta get them marker lights on the flares hooked up now
Heck yeah Sam. I like it 💪🏻💪🏻👊
Nice job on the truck.
I always wanted to use the same mega fenders
Looks great Sam!!!!
Man this is making me want to dually swap my 04, only problem is it's a 2500 so I'd feel like a poser. Hahaha
Love the dually swap!
She looks good, I wish Dodge would have gone with a factory setup like that
Looks awesome love the look of it. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
Love that truck. 04/05 are my favorite 3rd Gen. Wasn’t a fan of the older style 03 steering wheel and hated the little 06+ redesign
Couldn’t have said it better myself. My exact thoughts right there
Looks nice! Way better than conventional dually flares. Looks like the fronts need a spacer though.
4 inch spacers up there. I’m scared to as more
Just found your channel and it’s great love the dodges diesel actually looking for 1 myself
Mega cab flares look so much better than 3rd gen flares
Great job guys. You do Ausome work. 👍
Looks good now you just need some smoked cab lights

Great looking truck 🚚 🛻
You know it will be good when it starts will a wood stove lighting
Need to wire up fender light's
Get this guy to 100k
The Fords are the same with the dually adapters on the front hubs.
Great job. LOVE it... GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Definitely like it as a dually better great job
“Skir skip skirt”. Lol

Very cool!! Great job Sam!! 8) --gary
