Absolutely! Who on earth could steal his award and sell it for 12 thousand dollars. This guy is a legend and the people in charge should give it back to him. No reasonable person could deny that it's his because he's Dave Davies and it was awarded to him. Unbelievable!

Things aren't that simple. The current seller probably bought the trophy himself and paid a lot of money for it.

It should be no question. The award was taken from Dave. It should be returned. He's being too nice by negotiating.

Nowhere in the video does it say that the trophy was stolen. Davies just said that it got lost somehow.

Whoever found it should have made sure it got back where it is, @@Komponiert-oe7md, not permitted to go up on eBay for undeserved money and publicity.

I hope he gets it back. The trophy was sold without his knowledge. It's just greedy for the Ebay seller to haggle over something that doesn't belong to him, especially since Dave was ill. The seller will get some bad juju otherwise if he doesn't return the trophy to it's rightful owner.

@@unmemorableusername6582 The buyer paid for the piece with his (possibly hard-earned) money. And it is absurd to demand in the case of an eBay or any other purchase that the buyer should first inform himself about the private circumstances behind the offer for sale, especially since this is not possible for him at all. Therefore, it is of course his property and it cannot be demanded of him that he should now have given away his money and simply return the piece at a loss.

    Out of topic here.
Although Chaplin has nothing to do with rock music, it's nice that you have a (rare) photo of him as your channel's profile pic.
But, if you don't mind, I suggest that you replace your channel's cover pic with something else. Because that thing, everybody holding a smartphone taking a video of a whole concert, is what has ruined the experience of concerts, and annoys so many musicians, and others have expressed it, and others haven't because they know it's pointless. Roger Waters was the only one who didn't allow smartphones in his "Wall" concerts about a decade ago.
Please replace it with a photo of a crowd in a rock concert holding lighters or something else. Because what your current cover pic depicts is the sad decadence of rock concerts.
