As I expected: intelligent conversations and eclectically cerebral designs. You are one of the channels where I always watch until the end, there's nothing like you Tuba. You provoke my thoughts and you give me a very decisive, not always 'ugly' perspective... Digging your ensemble as per, who made your bag my dear? x x x
Loved this! So many interesting, intentional design perspectives. Your organic questions and comments really demonstrated your understanding and love for fashion. Was a pleasure to watch; thank you for taking us along! 🤗
good questions, good video, thank you! I love your style of interviewing people, not pretencious, curious, openminded. I would love to see more videos of you interacting around subjects (like the french style video) or designs with different people alongside your solo videos.
Love this Tuba 🖤. your conversation with the designers is kind and soothing. please, could you explain to non-experts what Dover Street market is? Also, the details of your outfit?
It’s a multi-brand store founded by Rei Kawakubo, who is as well the designer of Comme des Garçons. She built up a one of a kind store system with an amazing curation of very young emerging designers and bigger avantgarde brands.
I take your point, but I also think that a lot of these designers are not thinking of silhouettes but instead are focused on ethical materials and manufacturing. They also have to sell to a market that loves athleisure, sadly. As beautiful as some of their pieces are not everyone finds brands like Airei assessable.
1. I love learning about fashion on your HUGE channel 2. Random question... After looking up some of these brands online, I noticed they often have pieces made entirely from polyester. I get that design, construction etc can also contribute to quality, but at that price point, polyester doesn't seem to fit the equation (especially when they brand themselves as sustainable). Personally, if I bought from one of these brands, I would want my investment to last many years without fraying, tearing, etc (not just look super cool for one season). So, why polyester? Not trying to start a fisticuffs, just genuinely curious why this is a thing!
It's a fine line IMO - sometimes polyester is a crutch/corner cutting measure, but sometimes the material is used specifically for its properties or vibes (see: a lot of CdG stuff, noir kei ninomiya, Junya). But I get what you mean and you have to evaluate each on a piece by piece basis
I think a lot of designers are running apparel companies and just calling it a fashion brand to stick out. Cut n sew production forces you to have some type of creativity and be aware of fabric content because it’s just a bunch of cotton on shelves now days.
love the video❤ ngl it was painful to watch the promotion of russian brand and communism ideas. are we for real? 🥲 Especially the phrase ‘back where you belong’ seems a bit sarcastic due to the occupation of Ukrainian lands , like come on
I understand your concern, the brand was founded in 2016 by the two designers and the whole identity is actually a fight against the establishment, it’s not the celebration of it. They started with the perspective of giving Russian skate culture more awareness, since focus on Eastern European culture is very rare in western media. Even the slogan right where you belong is a critical claim here, as they themselves weren’t able to get Visa already back then. Maybe I didn’t reflect that enough in the video, but just wanted to make clear this is just a skate brand of kids that wanted to be seen for their lives as skaters. Gosha the initial founder is also not part of the brand anymore.
This was so fun! Reminiscent of Fashion TV on Canadian television. Not enough RUclipsrs take us out of their apartments. Thank you!
Spot on comparison!
Omg I remember fashion TV! Will do more during next season of fashionweek 🤞
@@tubaavalon Yesss! I would love to see more like this. I like your calm, conversational approach.

heeeyy hello hello! Where is your dark blue fleece and jeans from? in love
Uniqlo fleece and y/project jeans 💖
A lot of printed T-shirts and hoodies. This might be a radical thought but that’s not the future of fashion…….
It’s also the nature of streetwear to have a lot of tshirts, there were very differentiating ones as well

New ?
GO OFF TUBA
random identities looks cool but most of their clothes are 100% polyester :/
What exactly is the urgency?
The just after the wall came down German with the "Dystopia" tee. he wasn't even urgent the first time his style came round.

Tuba, we need to know what jeans you're wearing!
They’re y/project!
I LOVE your no-mascara makeup. I copied your look today and it looks awesome on me as well. I think I will quit mascara.

FANTASTIC!
Wish there were more. Awesome

It's really cool that DSM Paris differentiate itself from other DSM and being incubation for emerging brands.
