Well, you can't go wrong when you have a band made up of legendary musicians. David Coverdale is a legendary vocalist who was 64 years old during this performance, but more astonishing is that the Drummer Tommy Aldrige is 65 here.
This line up is great too.. Dave Coverdale always had great line ups. The blonde guitarist is also a guitarist for Trans Siberian Orchestra, the drummer is the legendary Tommy Aldridge, the other guitarist w/ the hat has been w/ Whitesnake since the early 2000s, Reb Beach who is also the lead guitarist for Winger and for an album and tour was the guitarist for Dokken and he's done other work as well. He's also a legend. Great band here. Love these guys
David Coverdale, a legendary vocalist, try Deep Purple, live California Jam, 1974 the song Burn. Was one of Coverdales first major gigs. Also played in front of 250,000 people!
You've gotta check out the Japanese metal band LOUDNESS 'Rock And Roll Crazy Nights' (the official video)! Quintessential, killer, top form 80's metal!
Whitesnake is a lineup of 80's rock legends. Guitarist in the hat is Reb Beech from classic 80's band Winger and the other guitarist is Joel Hoekstra who also plays for Trans Siberian Orchestra and was one of the guitarists for classic 80's band Night Ranger. Tommy Aldridge is a great drummer having joined Whitesnake in 1987 and been in and out of the band. He was 70 years old when they played in Australia and you could swear he was half that age he is so fit and energetic. The lead singer David Coverdale was also once the lead singer of classic band Deep Purple.
First album was Trouble (1978) 😁. First record was Snakebite (1978) . Lovehunter (1979), Ready & willing ( 1980) , Come on and get it (1981) , Saint & Sinners (1982) , Slide it in ( with micky and Mel galley , 1984) , were the albums before 1987
I destroyed at least 10 TAPES back in the day playing this over and over and over and over !!!! One of a handful of albums that I think defined the 80's metal scene/sound. David and company still put on an amazing show !!!! Cool to watch you guys experience them ;)
That guitarist that had the awesome poses is Joel Hoestra. He's played with Trans Siberian Orchestra and Cher. So he knows how to do the classic rock guitarist poses because he was in the TSO production. Great guitar player and a great guy!
The guitarist on the white guitar is Joel Hoekstra. He is also a guitarist with Trans-Siberian Orchestra and for Cher. Great player and one of the hardest workers in rock. And yes he knows all the great rock star poses.
Lead singer David Coverdale is only the original member of Whitesnake! There has been different lineups or Whitesnake! Coverdale has kept Whitesnake going! It’s amazing he still has it! The current Whitesnake lineup is the best lineup since 1987 lineup!
It's hard to beat a band of veteran , seasoned pros like you just watched here. I'm a big fan of former guitarist John Sykes , its a shame he & David couldn't bury the hachet and play together again. Also was a huge fan of Doug Aldrich when he was with Whitesnake.
0'40" Very hilarious the beginning ! 0'55"-0'56" Good vocalism like always Suzi 1'16" Suzi monster ability mimic and TraV has incredible potential ! 1'30" You guys ahah Suzi Shaked marionette mimic talent ! Around 2'05"-2'07" your screams are hilarious ! 2'10" Yes your favorite colour Suzi i know ! Fan made artistical tshirt of quality ! White Snake have always quality drummers ! This is not Brian Tichy of yesterday like said in other comments but is Tommy Aldridge that is one of the pioneers of double bass drumming . He has a personal style obviously not properly helicopter's one but more flams and paradiddles with peddles and accents . 3'35" Your opinion is cool Travis it sounds good this live ! 4'20" always crazy good guitar solos and 5'50" . 6'58" I don't know but...in any case 💖 7'05"-7'10" The ability of Tommy Aldridge is legendary , 8'00" to 8'05" it is his trademark ! 9'05" Beast mode on guitar ;-) !
Tommy is a pionner in the metallic sense of the term where he was modern playing before modern playing within the old guard He paved the way for what came . But Luigi balassoni Aka Louie bellson created double bass concept in 1938 , used in Count basie in 1946 , and was exposed fully by Skin deep 's Duke Elington in 1952 . Though the 50's Dave black and Sam woodyard also used it . In 60's Rufus speedy jones , and Guys like Ginger Baker , Ed shaunessy , Mitch mitchell , Keith moon and Carmine Appice used it .. Then Tommy came just after that.
@@Nissardpertugiu yes !! Carmine Appice and for sure Ginger Baker ! Nicko Mc Brain said multiple times that in his opinion Keith Moon wasn't really playing with two bass drum . Nicko McBrain had quick words with him back in the 70's only in one occasion . So it's more a McBrain consideration than other . I am a fan of McBrain . Great post anyway . Cheers
John Sykes was the ORIGINAL guitarist on this song, wrote it and shredded the Orig solo but he's not shown here. Watch that version. Tommy Aldrich is such a great rock drummer its not funny. When I think driving beat I think him.
I wish people would stop asking you to react to videos of bands towards the end of their career. Coverdale had a great voice in his prime, these performances don't highlight that.
I am glad to see David Coverdale getting some attention on this channel, one of the best male vocalists in rock history.

David Coverdale, a legendary vocalist, try Deep Purple, live California Jam, 1974 the song Burn. Was one of Coverdales first major gigs. Also played in front of 250,000 people!

Back in the late 80's Whitesnake was one of my favorite bands. Their first album was pure gold and rocked so hard, as you can hear in this song.
First album was Trouble (1978) 😁.
First record was Snakebite (1978) .
Lovehunter (1979), Ready & willing ( 1980) , Come on and get it (1981) , Saint & Sinners (1982) , Slide it in ( with micky and Mel galley , 1984) , were the albums before 1987
Of course Tommy still got it on the drums!! React to his drum solo!! Won’t regret it!
Watch one of his solos, like animal from the Muppets man. Love when he plays with just his hands.
Seen them seven times and one thing remains constant, David's voice. It is fueled by Marlboros and Budweiser.
Tommy Aldridge funominal drummer one of the greats
I have Neil Murray's autograph! he signed my cover.

Wow his voice is shredded now, too bad for such a good singer...
